Hi, i've been using phoenix miner for a long time with my amd cards, but now i decided to move my nvidia cards (1070ti, 1080 and 1080ti) also to phoenix miner. This is not a ploblem at all, but after testing i see that phoenix miner shows less hashrate then claymore or t-rex for example. Could you please change timings for you strap2 parameter maximally closer to claymore's strap2 timings ? Or even better to make your strap2 similar to --mt 3 by t-rex (slightly better than claymore's strap2). I know that you have (and claymore too) strap3, but the memory on 90% of my cards can't work with strap3 timings, but absolutely stable on strap2 (t-rex mt3). I would be very gratefull for your help.

Friends, can anyone help me connect Phoenixminer to Sparkpool?

I'm connecting to eth-eu.sparkpool.com:3333 and that part is ok. But I don't know the syntax to use to connect my worker and attribute the mining profits to me.

My worker name is sp_workername

Should I add sp_workername.1234 or just the bare name? In the docs it says:

Config Address and RigID
Format: Sub-account/address+ / +rigID. For example: sp_workername.1234

Should I add my Ethereum wallet address anywhere, or just the worker name?

Full syntax please  Undecided

I have a problem (it might be just the size of the VRAM, but I want to make sure).
I start the latest PhoenixMiner with the regular parameter (just wallet, pool, worker name and rvsize to -1).
It works for some minutes at quite high hashrate - about 30 MH/s at about 106W power.
After those minutes (vary from 5 to 15), it drops to 15 MH/s and the power drops to 88W.

The card is an RX570 with 4 GB of RAM.
Is this due to the DAG size?
Did anyone see this behavior before?
yes my friend it is DAG unfortunatly. you can test same setting etc to see your speed.

Roger that! Thanks for the fast reply!
On another topic - anyone using RX6800XT? What's your experience with it?

I have Asus 1070ti strix 8GB. in afterburner pov. lim 85, core +50, memory +600, in the bat file, strap 1 - claymore of stable 34.5 for several years. but a phoenix with the same settings 32 max !!! And loads gpu so that the pages in the browser are not scrolled !!! Strap 2 artifacts before power reboot, strap 3 does not start at all. What's wrong with it???
That`s bat file: -proto 3 -epsw x -straps 1 -log 0 -retrydelay 1 -Rmode 1 -coin eth -Wdog 1 -stales 1 -mport 0 -etha 0

PhoenixMiner suddenly stopped working after I updated the nvidia drivers to version 460.79
It seems 460.79 is not good driver:
https://www.nicehash.com/blog/post/psa-do-not-update-to-nvidia-geforce-460-79-drivers

Can confirm I also installed the latest nvidida driver, it posts gpus then immediately exits program.

PSA: Do not update to NVIDIA GeForce 460.79 drivers!
Dear miners!

We urge you to not update your GPU drivers if you are mining with NVIDIA graphics cards. It looks like the latest GeForce 460.79 drivers cause problems and do not recognize the graphics card(s) in the system.

If you have already updated to the latest version, please revert back to the previous one and it should resolve the issues.

Trex posted just now the new version compatible with the new driver

did anyone compare TREX vs Phonex on TRX 3000 series?  does TREX still get higher hash

per this article, TREX  and phonex 5.1 were compared and the Trex was getting around 3% more,

Greetings, I hope you can help me solve this problem since the only way I can solve it is by restarting the platform.

could not connect to ethash pool PhoenixMiner -epool eth-eu1.nanopool.org:9999. An operation on a socket could not be performed because the system lacked sufficient buffer space or because a queue was full

the error appears every 20 hours and the only thing I can do is restart

Sorry my bad english
i have same problem, i disabled all firewalls all protection stuff even from registry, not fixed.....i increased max port numbers to max not fixed.

lets try found out what we have common with you.

1.Are you using 2 phoenix miners at the same time i mean 1 for ETH and onother for ETC?
2.Are you monitoring using like chrome remote or teamviewer?

Greetings again, I only use 1 phoenix miner for ETH, I did not know that I could use another simultaneously for ETC, am I really missing something big here Huh
I don't use Chrome Remote or TeamViewer.
The strangest thing is that I can't even navigate google. The Internet connection is blocked, Try to share the Internet connection of this platform to another by local network and it works with all normality. The last thing I need to do is format the platform

The new beta version is ready. You can download PhoenixMiner 5.4b from here:

(MEGA links are no longer active)

If you want to check the integrity of the downloaded file, please use the following hashes (you need the last file PhoenixMiner_NVRTC_Windows.zip only if you want to mine BCI with Nvdia cards under Windows):
Code:

The new features in this release are:

  • New kernels for AMD Vega and Navi GPUs that are slightly faster when the DAG buffer is approaching or passing 4GB in size (the current ETH DAG is close to 4GB). To use these new kernels, you need to use drivers 20.5.1 or later under Win10, or 20.10.x or later under Linux
  • Automatic re-running auto-tune as needed when switching to a different DAG buffer type (e.g. when switching from ETH to ETC, or back)
  • Added support for the latest AMD Windows 10 drivers 20.12.1 and 20.11.3
  • Fixed crash when trying to set -mvddc on very old AMD drivers (including the beta blockchain drivers from 2017)
  • Other small fixes and improvements

Some notes on the best (or at least some of the better) drivers for AMD cards:
  • If you have 6GB or 8GB card that is at least Polaris (i.e. 470/480/570/580, Vega, Radeon VII, Navi), you should run at least driver 20.5.1 under Windows 10, or driver 20.10.x under Linux.
  • If you have 4GB Polaris card (i.e. 470/480/570/580), ideally you should also run drivers 20.5.1 or later. At the very least the drivers should be either 18.12.1.1 to 19.7.5 (inclusive), or 19.12.2 and later. Under Linux, drivers 19.x.x or 20.x.x should be OK for 4GB cards.
  • Avoid using the 20.40.x, and 20.45.x drivers under Linux.

Please let us know if you have any problems or questions related to PhoenixMiner 5.4b.
