It was used when Bitcoin was not yet popular and not very known to the community. I heard assassins were paid via BTC and drugs were traded online, and some terrorist used it for arms dealing. It's because the police is having a hard time tracking those malicious elements as you know Decentralize transaction secures mostly the anonymity of it's users. For now I don't know anymore if it's still undergoing as most perpetrators were caught by federal agents and the dark-web was shut down. In the US, even just owning BTC must be set public in order to avoid certain charges, they have already set the Bill in the senate for it to avoid BTC being used again in illicit activities.

Naturally, in the underworld, bitcoin is used because of its anonymity, but it does not make bitcoin a bad currency, and the speech that it is used ONLY in crime is spread by the government in order to have an excuse their attempts to adjust this currency
Yes it can use by criminality because of its anonymity of bitcoin, that's way some government ban bitcoin in their country because they think bitcoin is can harm to their people, but they didn't know what can bitcoin do if they trust and try to use of their peoole. It waa popularly used before in blackmarket but now that many sees its potential in a more useful way, businesses finds it a way to be the medium of much convenient transactions. |

Did you know that in some countries, those who uses bitcoin are banned and will be put behind bars. It is because many users in their countries were reported that bitcoin is used in criminality and it is widespread. It can be in drugs, scam and trade of illegal firearms. But nowadays, with the help of IT experts and programmers, they can be tracked.

There's a possibility that Bitcoin is being by criminals for their own operations. Due to its decentralized system it is an advantage for them as they can transact without being noticed by authorities. Actually, even corrupt officials could use Bitcoin as an advantage to hide their ill gotten wealth or to avoid paying taxes. Anything that has money on it can be used by criminals at any way they want.

I think there are criminals in ibi bitcoin because if there are no criminals in bitcoin definitely coin-coin will not be lost or not easy on heck and bitcoin is used by criminality because of its anonymity with bitcoin

I once read an article that says bitcoin is used as a payment transaction for terrorists and hackers. And maybe you guys in this forum also already know it. But here i want to convey my personal opinion in that matter. I think that internet and bitcoin interrelated. Many terrorists and criminals use internet .so also with bitcoin which used perpetrator However, despite all these issues, do people make concrete efforts to ban the internet? No. Not because removing and banning Bitcoin is difficult, but because the internet offers more positive than negative. For the same reason, we have to be more careful about our mindset for Bitcoin, because much evidence has shown that Bitcoin brings many positive, if not more, effects than the internet. Internet and Bitcoin are just devices that 'bad guys' and 'good people'. Fortunately, the world is filled with more people in the 'good people' category.
hi,My father is police....and as per police reports they are saying that most drugs,guns, etc are bought and the transactions are made mostly through bitcoins.. Bitcoins are used as the bitcoins are anonymous so that the are safe much...but it gives the same value as money....in fact much more value than money |

Criminals is bad person, and bitcoin is not bad but bitcoin becomes bad only if the user is a bad person. Because bitcoin was an open source where it can be use for legal and illegal purposes but as much as possible we shouldn't abuse it.

I heard a lot about bitcoin in a negative way or should i say in illegal and bad way like for example in a scam recently here at the philippines a person who scammed a lot of people and take away a lot of money from others tell what did he used and he told that bitcoin is one way of scamming people others says that buying illegal equipement for example guns and bomb and many more. |

Somehow, there are really instances that some people who have been using bitcoin are abusing Bitcoin usages ij a way that they have been using Bitcoin for their own goods which are related into bad doings such as purchasing drugs or funding terrorist actions since Bitcoin price is really worth that much. But despite of all of these happenings, we cannot blame it all into Bitcoin because we people are responsible for our actions regarding our expenses using Bitcoin. |

If you know "deep web", inside the "deep web" a lot of illegal criminal transactions that pay bills using bitcoin, when I ask this to people on the forum, the average person thinks that the use of bitcoin in "deep web" no problem Because the "deep web" is the deepest part of the internet, very few people know, but I still think if illegal transactions on the "deep web" are caught in the real world, it is not impossible that bitcoin will get carried away, and the bitcoin reputation will be bad

Well I think bitcoin is used for crime so are all crypto currencies and fiat money. I do not bother with it. People will do what the want. I would love that people use generally money just for good but that wont change just because I would like it.

Yes, it is sad to say but it is the truth that the other criminals used the bitcoin for crime activities. There are many articles and cases that the bitcoin is within in the crime activities. It is perfect to do crime activitiea because it is untraceable. Sometimes it is sed as money to ghe black market and other illegal site |

People are selling child pornography on the dark web and on the internet. They are ACCEPTING BITCOINS, not payments. We can’t use the sheriff’s office credit card, and we cant exchange child pornography. We need some type currency to get this and then identify who we are getting it from. That way, we can go arrest that person.

I have seen similar news on TV creates panic in investors BTC type of currency and similar things could be done with real life currency too.bitcoin can use by good and bad people, they can make cyber crimes with bitcoin .I think some people use it at criminal activities. That very shameful. They can earn money and use it at good sides. So they should be removed. Anyone can't stop bitcoin.
