Actually not only bitcoin, any crypto currency may be used by criminals for buying illegal things, because the anonymity of crypto currencies. Therefore it is very difficult to track the transactions of them.

Yes it is. It is used in illegal transactions because transactions in bitcoin are all untracable. They are remaining anonymous which is perfect for some criminal activities. And also bitcoin is used by criminals by scamming others.

In this world there are always good people and the bad guys and by using bitcoin criminals have the ease of making transactions. I think this is one of the  weaknesses of bitcoin.

What I think is most of these criminals just use bitcoins to launder money. It's really that easy to transfer huge wads of money without having to cross a boarder or ride a plane with a sweaty forehead. The purpose is unknown but I really think it is just for drugs or for funding a coup.

There are many instances that bitcoin was used by criminals. Like for hacking and scamming other peoples account to get money and destroy the reputation of that person. There are many news and articles that support that claim so i think there is really a history that bitcoin was used by criminals

This is the thing to be avoided, but it would be difficult enough to do a regulation that could limit the access of criminals. Bitcoin is designed anonymously so we will find it hard to track down the criminals.
