According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

This is a lottery. this is not a mining.

This is mining cryptocoins - like a gold rush. Not everyone finds a nugget.

Have i overlooked something or do the devs simply ignore all questions regarding "standalone miner" oder "mining pool"?

And oh, full Blocks now, wasnt that scheduled 48 hous after launch before?
Why has this been launched with so little preparation, i hope this launch has no negative effect to protoshares price...  Shocked

This launch is much better than most of crap clones. The only thing could be done better is helping us out with miner or/and pool.

Everyone is free to develop a standalone miner and a pool.

1 dev with vacancies. Why not offer to help instead of complaining? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=369487.0

Sure, eyerone is free, not everyone is able to do.

I would still be interested in hearing from the devs if it was intended to launch without standalone miner (makes pooled mining impossible) and if yes - why?

Ah, I'm going to give up for the time being... it's like trying to find a needle in a hay stack; I've been mining at 2.7 to 3.5hs (i7 4770k SC) since 2:10pm UTC yesterday. Still nothing.

Any eta on a block explorer, miner or working pool?

but mining a less than one day coin with low difficulty one would expect a reward
two days now. Smiley
any news about a pool?
the latter is down i think.

I have 0 coins after 30 hours with 5 PCs.

Just imagine, there is one block planned every 6 minutes, but in currently it's more like 15-20 minutes a block.

If 3000 PCs are mining, your chance to get a block a day is very tiny.

A pool is the only solution, but someone would have to code a new miner first.

edit:

Stuck at block 260 since 30 minutes. Anyone else too?

I stopped mining this after seeing how difficult it was to mine a block. On top of that the heavy pre-mine turned me off it.

Windows 8 x64

AMD FX 8350 4 GHz 8/8-core  = 2.9 Hash/m

Intel Core i5-4570 3.2GHz 2/4-core = 0.95 Hash/m

Intel Xeon E3-1225 V2 3.2GHz 2/4-core = 0.85 Hash/m

The last two processor I used to only half.

Block 261 since 20 minutes. I think the difficulty is WAY too high. I have a bad feeling about this.

Well, since difficulty adjusts on every block (yes, you read that right... no, I don't know why they thought this was a good idea), all you have to do is wait for this block to be found and the difficulty will overadjust much too low, which should allow you to lose the bad feeling (at least until the next block where it overadjusts too high again.)

Ok, i will leave mining, but the only problem its my scypt mining its much lower when i mine memorys and really can't understand it for its CPU one.

With the quark i can mine CPU & GPU without any conflict or lower mining rate.

Anymore have this problem? Stop my scrypt mining for a really low possibility of find any memorycoin... I have really bad luck

Have you tried setting Memorycoin-qt priority to low and minerd-scrypt to normal?
It helped me to get my gpu running F@H at 100% power

Also having this same issue - always saying couldn't connect to server. Did you ever get it to actually work properly?
