You can call this luck... had several crashes that just required a reboot and a more serious one that required the deletion of the .memorycoin folder !

I'm a linux system admin, it's not lucky :-)

Tell me what distribution you still to use, and CPU /memory installed. Have you leave a little free memory for the S.O. or your miner still to use all ?

Could someone please elaborate with a detailed explanation on how this works:

"All balances from the original MemoryCoin as at block 8820 are transferred into the new blockchain at Block 1. MemoryCoin 2.0 has 10 million coins so there is a significant dilution. This dilution does not apply to MCF supporters. You can import your balance by using your old wallet with the new blockchain."

On servers is not a good idea to use a ubuntu version that have not long support. I use always the 12.04 LTS for online machines.

ubuntu 13.10 have new boosts package, you can choise to install the 1.53 or the 1.54... what version you are installed ? Try to change version and recompile the client

    x0rcist who longed for MemoryCoin, beholds with pain
    The tempting clusters were too high to gain;
    Grieved in his heart he forced a careless smile,
    And cried ,‘They’re scam and hardly worth my while.’

I'm pretty sure there is luck involved, never had a crash on my servers before with another miner...

I'm talking about a Dual Xeon 5639 with 8Gb on ubuntu 13.04, being an admin you should have noticed the miner does not use much memory so of course I have free memory.

Just had another crash ;/  I was lucky this time it's only the daemon that needed to be restarted !

I need to look into the boost package version

This coin use very much some boost library. It's clear now that ubuntu > 12.04 with the new boost library don't marry with memorycoin.

I will install ubuntu 13.04 and 13.10 on a my machine for get a solution.

On 12.04 work fine. If you don't have problems to change O.S. can be a fast solution ;-)
