It's not new algo, MemoryCoin 2.0 has improved Momentum algo from ProtoShares which even more GPU/ASIC resistant:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=355532.msg3979904#msg3979904

Protoshares does not use AES at all, so it's a new algo.

You right, I just found this answer: https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=1397.msg15190#msg15190

I need some MMC for testing right now. Give me 1MMC for 0.05 BTC, and post your BTC address.

I moved my Protoshares, and sold him the priv key to the wallet. Didn't want to bother with importing, and he went to sleep. I'll mine when its time.

Still buying 1MMC for 0.05 BTC, and post your BTC address.

I have a decent amount due to the protoshares premine and might let some go if the price is right.

Keep in mind even though these are slow to mine right now there is already 730,000 of these pre-mined so don't let people scam you into paying a ton of money for this coin. You are much better off just buying protoshares in that case. I am not trying to talk people out of wanting to buy my coins but one thing is a fair deal and the other is the blatant pump and dumping going on in this thread.

Try adding the nodes manually through the console.
Code:
addnode <ip> add

Send BTC to 17QRhLCdENZkNbLDxDq1CP9gJyQD61Kthu (or not. Really not stressing it either way). I saw you did some updates on github to various things I actually like so its all good either way.

Total Coins: 10 Million coins in the first 2 years, 2% inflation thereafter

iirc the total coin supply is 10-million. But I see 1 million is defined in the source. Can OP please clarify?

#litecoin
static const int64 MAX_MONEY = 84000000 * COIN;

#feathercoin
static const int64 MAX_MONEY = 336000000 * COIN; // Feathercoin: maximum of 336 million coins

#memorycoin
static const int64 MAX_MONEY = 1000000 * COIN;
