All those POS coins are doing pretty well. If we just stop adding new coins then the price most go out and you create a shortes of coins.
yes indeed to many coins being generated for the current demand.
I think the supply should be halved asap.

Would like to hear the opinion from the dev team about this (earthcoin account)
What are the pros and cons

I'm working on a writeup on that very subject. I will have it under the news thread before the week is out.

There are a lot of things about the concept of this coin that seem to not be well iterated to the public. I'm trying to fix that. It will be a fairly long post. And yes, I'll post it under the earthcoin account.
still waiting for the writeup ...  Roll Eyes

Sorry for the delay. I"ve had to deal with a number of personal emergencies and a computer crash over the last few days. I've barely had time to think, let alone write. I haven't forgotten, but I did forget to update everyone as to the delay.

In the meanwhile, TamB has been taking up a lot of my slack. Thanks!
I will be much more active shortly, and yes, I'm still working on the article.

You're welcome Mech. Smiley

I need some help testing a new social network for crypto enthusiasts called CoinSocial.net. The website just went online yesterday and is now ready for testing.

My idea was to build a social network free of advertising with a robust back-end and premium feature set. This will eventually require a tiny annual fee per user to become sustainable.

One thing I've observed is how fragmented the cryptocurrency community has become. So this website will welcome the entire altcoin population and serve as a hub for sharing ideas, tech support, and efficient networking.

To help attract beta testers I'm offering a 99% Earthcoin discount that will extend through the entire month of May 2014. So basically you get a free one-year membership (cost will be around 6 cents) for helping test the system if you pay in EAC.

Please understand that this is just the second day of beta testing so expect a few bugs. Here's the link: https://www.coinsocial.net

Thank you and I hope to see a few of you there! :-)

Yikes.
We need to sell a big investor on the future of EAC.
Maybe someone that can put in 25 BTC to stabilize the price until we make it to the first halving.

All I can say is that the Silver ATX has been selling silver for EAC sells fast!   This is awesome,  but i s there any ideas on how we can put these silver oz sales to better use to further expose EAC?

I honestly fight the urge to buy em all up for my self when I see them for sale! I do not in hopes that the EAC to silver attracts new people to EAC,  I have taken to twitter and gotten us some retweets and favorites about the silver sales, not many at all as I have limited followers, my best is @madbitcoins! pretty happy about that.  When there is 60 oz of silver for sale for EAC, that's when the Dev team needs to come out of the wood work most,  I have 20 followers and I get some action from those tweets.  If the Earthcoin twitter handle would tweet it would get much more notice,  where is the facebook updates?   Silver for EAC! this is by far our best selling point in my opinion at present. Even if all people do is buy EAC and immediately liquidate if for silver.  This makes EAC slightly more scares since ATX is holding EAC and it takes away some sell pressure.   It doesn't do much Good If a community member like myself spends my EAC to buy silver, as my intention is to hold those EAC aswell.  It would be interesting to see how many different buyers are purchasing the silver? I hope its more than I think. Any ideas on how we can put the silver to better use? or to better promote the sales to a wider demographic.  I also wonder if it is time to team up with a emerging coin on earthazaar?

One idea, if ATXsilver see this, is to list an ounce of sliver at whatever his asking price is (most recently 350k EAC). But instead of a buy it now, use a 7 day auction with starting price at that 350K or whatever buy it now price would be. That way it'll stay up longer and give more time for us all to advertise Earthazaar and the great things people can purchase with Earthcoins.

Are you kidding me? This issue can be fixed in 5 mins, just compile with openssl1.0.1g, instead of the previous version, many coins have fixed this issue promptly, and I don't see earthcoin released a new version with this fixed.

This is trivial, but for weeks earthcoin dev team can't do it, you tell me there's a team? what a joke.

This team could learn alot from the Noble Movement.

I recommend you "DEV's" head over to their thread and do some reading.

I think it's too late though. I'm so glad I got out when I did.

Sorry, but any time a new coin has to self-moderate their thread to delete any criticism, it tells me the coins is worthless.
