A lightweight page is planned for low-resolution mobile devices like PDAs or iPhones. Do you have any suggestions on the displayed data ? https://deepbit.net/m(prototype, you still have to log in using main page) Nice addition. It looks more than good so far, of course there are some small (subjective) things that could be improved. For me an ideal summarized design would be (based on the current look): - Make a "Last 24h average" section including pull's luck (with colorful +/- numbers), average round length, your average hashrate (if existing as a data entry somewhere at all) - Bellow the "Blocks history" section append btc income last 24h as on the destop version of the site - Append a "Last news" section with last 2 news pieces - Remove the "Balance is updated once per hour" & "Average speed in last N minutes" rows from the first section to save vertical space Also, it doesn't look quite as a mobile device page, but maybe it's just a css issue. On my screen it is zoomed out (real size), centered in the middle, with width about 1/4 of the screen. Using Windows Mobile 6.5.X, Opera Mobile 9.7, screen res 800x480. Only worker tails are displayed, not full login names.
At this point it makes sense, since it is appended to your login. But I don't see the point of omitting it since the login is at the top of the page. Unless it's for readability/table expanding reasons. When (if?) the option to totally rename workers comes, it would be nice to have the whole names.

Also, there is no fee for proportional mode in last days, so you weren't paying too. You said on your site you restarted the fee that's why I came back I assumed you had all the problems fixed. I plan on adding 2 machines with 4 GPUs a week soon. I got investors that want in and I need a reliable pool. I don't mind paying for it but you have to be like Facebook NEVER GO DOWN! Oh, the news column on my site says that fee will be enabled 4.06.2011 but today is 3.06 yet :) Sorry for the connection problems. I'm not sure why phoenix can't reconnect sometimes while other miners do.

Thanks for your report, it's very useful. Yes, it looks small because it's for 240x320 (QVGA) devices. Other sizes will be supported too. It shows tails because you will be able to rename their tails soon.

Only Poclbm Do you remember what error was shown by your poclbm then ? Sorry I would be guessing but it was "Connection error" I think. Wish I thought to copy it but I was angry at the time and just wanted my miners up and running. Thanks for taking the time to talk to me. The guys at MTGox just ignore my emails and don't respond to my simple request of timing for when they will put cash in my account after I transferred it from paxum. I find that very unprofessional and normal for internet businesses to just ignore their users. Thus it's surprisingly delightful to see you communicating with me and your patrons. Keep up the good work. Cheers Davinci

This will be excellent! How about one line giving the current system time, so I can compare "last share" time to it in case I'm too lazy to read my phone time and convert to UTC? Also, perhaps tell me the time and amount of my most recent automated payment, if I'm using them. This is good to know together with my balance in case I haven't checked in a while. I like the idea of putting news items on there, too. Any required space may be stolen from the Blocks history.

There is a news post in the left site column that says about timezone setting :)

Reason I was posting was since I used "instant payout" to send 0.575 BTC, don't know if the thousandths place screwed up the transaction? (as strange as that sounds). Previously my wallet showed the (unverified) transaction nearly instantly.

I requested a payment 3/4 blocks ago and haven't received it yet - block explorer says "no such transaction". Any ideas?
Blockexplorer can show you this transaction only after it gets included in some block and that block is received by BBE server. If you see the transaction in your payments list then everything is fine and you just need to wait. Okay, Tycho, I see your answer to someone else asking the question. You are changing the fee structure; maybe something is up on your end. I will wait and check again after hour changes to 0.00 GMT. (45 min)

yep, I saw it but couldn't get it back. All is well now and block explorer shows transaction. Someone has to report the block transaction, yes, and hash it into the chain going forward?

Yep ... just patience. As difficulty jumps, blocks are found more slowly, so the first confirmation can be a slow one. You may not see instant notification if your client is part of the full P2P cloud [meaning you don't have your firewall open such that your client can be actively connected to by others. A sure sign of that is that your bitcoin client sticks with only 8 connections. If your router supports it and you trust people/hardware in your home, then turn on uPnP on the router and then in your bitcoin client. Then restart your client]. Payouts from deepbit.net and BTC Guild show immediately in my client, essentially before I have let go of the button on the mouse I used to click the payout button on the site. After that, you should start seeing confirmations rolling in about as often as you see a long polling message in your miner [which implies that block was just found and thus may help along your confirmations].

Holy C****T! :p 1933GH/s at last look and not even risking half the mining network either [finally there are many pools and some decent size pools to balance things]. Awesome accomplishment! Congrats Tycho! I see the hourly block rate is over eight though which means a significant difficulty increase although perhaps not as bad as in the past. In any event, if new hashing power comes online distributed across the pools (or solo) as it has been, your pool stands to break the 2500GH/s barrier in not too long and likely still not be at that infamous 50% I love it! Bitcoin rocks! Deepbit Rocks! Many pools rock. BTW, that was a smart and honorable thing you did with the temporary 3% across the board fee cut after the DDOS [too bad others can cause damage to the innocent], but it seems to have helped you out in the long run if I am not mistaken. It seems your pool may be as stable as I have ever seen it [in spite of some DDOS a-holes]. Keep up the great work! Future growth potential is huge and deepbit is clearly the model that many others try to emulate and compete with. Thank you for being there, dedicated and bearing with all us miners pressure and occasional critic like me.
