you need 20000 aws 32 core instances to mine at that speed
What value are we talking here? This sounds like NASA or something. Could a single person really be responsible for this?

Cloud servers like Digital Ocean,CloudSigma.
You rent servers fo $ you can buy one server for 1h,day,month mining.
but u need to know how setup it as well.
It doesn't sound reasonable to me. I view this as a deliberate attack on the coin. The timing was very 'good' as well, since eduffield said that "big news" regarding the anonymity were to be announced soon.
The bankers are peeing their pants because their era is moving to an end, and they are now fighting us in any possible way.

Same thing with Quark, someone bought 14% of the total supply, $2,000,000. http://quark.freeforums.net/thread/1411/exchange-bought-000-worth-quark

Nah, I think it's just a group of guys who own a large CPU farm.  They'll move on after they've gotten their coins.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

I think that huge quark buy a month ago had something to do with BTC38 getting ready to host the coin on their exchange.  What I don't understand is how they moved that much QRK outside the exchanges.

It's really uncomfortable to be kept completely in the dark like this.. But we just gotta stand strong and fight for our cause. If this whale doesn't give up soon, surely someone will ddos that fucker. Meanwhile we will be getting more people to mine this awesome coin, and become more resistant to the whales. This guy might harvest a couple of thousand coins, but it wont really matter in the long term.

On the plus side, with the volume we're seeing on the exchanges, I'd think we should be able to get on coinedup or cryptsy pretty easily.

Man I remember when coinedup was considered a joke.  Things change so fast in cryptoville.  I was hoping that anonymous blockchain would be implemented before drk hit a large exchange.
