All,
What do you think of adding another section to DCEBrief for FinTech? We already have Finance and Technology, but some news might be better categorized as FinTech. For example, reporting on digital currency crowdfunding. We could categorize them in the existing categories, or add a new FinTech category for it, among other news. There are advantages and disadvantages either way, so I would like to know your thoughts.
My vote is to add another section just for FinTech. Some people's interest is in just this and if DCEBrief had it as its own section that might draw further interest. "Quick and Easy" dissemination of information is the DCEBrief main goal.

Many interesting articles can fit well into the rapidly growing FinTech segment.

This article is very interesting to me. I only recently learned the block chain can be utilized for purposes other than digital currency transactions, and this report explains to me further how useful it could really be. I like your writing style, ken - it's easy for me to understand

I like your writing style, ken - it's easy for me to understand It seems like everytime I learn something new about the blockchain, the more I realize just how powerful the blockchain is, and I realize it will have a huge impact on our future. Crypto-currency is just one small part of the blockchain. With my head buried in Daylilies and Crypto-Currency, I sometimes underestimate things. The blockchain is one of those things. I truley believe it will have a larger impact on society than the internet. (History will see this statement as either visionary, or the result of warming up the tractors too long in a closed barn). Excellent job, TeeGee. I like it very much. DCEBrief is looking very good. Frankly, it is turning out to be far beyond my expectation. It is simply amazing how much a dedicated community can accomplish in a short period of time. Just building a trustworthy digital currency in our challenging environment is tough enough for most coins in our industry. We have been able to accomplish that against all odds. On top of that, we have built a solid ecosystem of our own that will be of great benefits to DNotes and our industry. It has been an amazing journey but the beginning of many good things to come. Great job everyone! As always thank for your support and confidence in our team.

Hi, all. I know this thread has been mostly covering the DCEBrief lately, but I wanted to bring back into focus some important issues about DNotes and Charity. As some of you may know, I visited Alan in Chicago this weekend to gain more direction (very productive visit, btw!). On my way home, I was able to spend a few hours roaming the city before my train left. I was BOMBARDED by various people asking for help, mostly "to get to the homeless shelter". I gave what I could, knowing that my money would best serve them coming from a charity organization. I couldn't help but think.... what would the impact be if people could donate crypto to charities? First and foremost it will be recognition from the charities part that crypto currency is a real currency. It will also portray the average crypto currency user as a “normal human being” that had the brains, the guts and the will to do something different. So the people’s perception will change toward crypto currency users. Lastly, it will make the process of donation more efficient, eliminating fees and the "middleman" involved. I am contacting the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless www.chicagohomeless.org to request that DNotes and Bitcoin be accepted as an option for payment. I ask you to join me. I can't do it alone. While my children, my parents, my friends, and I are snug in our beds tonight with full bellies and warm toes, there are people - REAL PEOPLE - whether by choices made or circumstances unforeseen, have no safe place to rest their weary heads.

Great article Tee Gee! I have to say that it scares me to death that we are on the verge of a major global economic disaster that will make 2008 - 09 look like a minor blip. I will keep hoping that this disaster holds off long enough to allow DNotes to become what we all envision, and that it performs as a balancing act that ensures people don't lose everything they have.

That is indeed a great article. It is well researched and very compelling. So far it has been like a game of perpetual musical chair, and in this particular case there may be only 80 chairs for every one hundred people. As long as the music keeps playing everything is fine. Once the music stops, many will be left without a chair, more likely without a job or a home . A digital currency like DNotes offers an alternative asset preservation to supplement other savings. It never hurts to diversify one's investment, especially when we know that there inherent risk with our current financial systems.
