I'm getting connection problems when trying to mine PPC at coinotron. It won't even connect. IO errors 1 Tolerance 2. I'm assuming everyone is trying to mine PPC and coinotron servers can't handle it, maybe?

coinotron answered just a few posts back about this. It is indeed overload, but I am glad to hear he is making steps to solve it short term. He hasn't talked about upgrading because I assume it could be a waste if this traffic is just a peak and that ppc could potentially (or should) support stratum soon, reducing load.

I decided to close TRC and LTC getwork pools.
As of today there are less than 10% of total Coinotron'c TRC and LTC pools consuming more than 50% of server resources.
TRC and LTC pools will be closed on April 06 2013 12.00 UTC.

Please switch your miners to stratum LTC and TRC pools.

Stratum compatible miners:

cgminer https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=28402.0,
bfgminer https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=78192.0,
guiminer https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3878.0,
guiminer-scrypt https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=150331.0,
poclbm https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1334.0,
stratum proxy http://mining.bitcoin.cz/mining-proxy-howto,

Are you using eloipool for stratum?

You might want to note this sudden urgent terracoin update: http://terracoin.org/news/

It switches on in 400 blocks or so which will come very fast.
