The pool is also for TRC very unstable. Hash values are jumping... And the website itself and the pool is very often unreachable atm. I can accept that there is a problem every few days, but we pay fees can't we expect a little bit stability?

When the network retargets itself to difficulty 3, I expect it's hard for the server to keep up Shocked

You might want to note this sudden urgent terracoin update: http://terracoin.org/news/

It switches on in 400 blocks or so which will come very fast.

unfortunately no, difficulty is currently increasing like crazy, following big hashrate spike, we'll soon get stuck at 60k+ TRC diff..

It would be a start to host the website and the pools on a different server. This aren't huge investments. An advanced solution would be multiple servers, each one per currency. If they (or he?) want to be a general pool, he should have the power to handle the traffic, otherwise it doesn't make any sense and people will switch to another server (if there will be one really working...).

FYI

Recent increase of hashrate in PPC pool overloaded server. I had to suspend automatic payouts.
I'm testing new payout solution.
Hopefully payouts will be enabled in 1-2 hours.

I'm sorry for all inconvenience caused by this outage.

Thanks for the information. Would be nice if you can post such news before you are changing your productive system. No bad feelings but there isn't a lot information and we have to plan a little bit.

I was more overloaded than server, just trying to make quick fixes which didn't work  Wink

ltc payout doesnt work also. been waiting more than one hour and even though it's already past the widthdrawal threshold still nothing.
imo, there should be a manual payout, so payment doesn't get stuck like this.

Latest changes:

1. I strongly recommend you using RBPPS worker type for PPC mining.
2. LTC and TRC getwork pools are closed. Please use stratum compatible miner: https://coinotron.com/coinotron/AccountServlet?action=help
3. During dramatic drop of Terracoin difficulty I disabled TRC PPS worker. Until further notice all shares submitted to TRC pool will be treated as RBPPS

Latest changes:

1. PPCoin PPS fee is increased to 12 % ! (starting from block 41113). Recent rise of PPC price volatility is causing higher than ever financial risks for pool operator. I strongly recommend you using RBPPS worker type for PPC mining. It has only 2% fee.

2. LTC and TRC getwork pools are closed. Please use stratum compatible miner: https://coinotron.com/coinotron/AccountServlet?action=help

3. During dramatic drop of Terracoin difficulty I disabled TRC PPS worker. Until further notice all shares submitted to TRC pool will be treated as RBPPS (2%fee)

cpuminer started returning this error message:

[2013-04-06 18:59:39] JSON decode failed(1): '[' or '{' expected near 'Stratum'
[2013-04-06 18:59:39] json_rpc_call failed, retry after 30 seconds

EDIT: stratum mining proxy fixed the problem

Coinotron, where do you get your quotes from? E.g. BTC/TRC shows 0.04225 on your website at the moment. BTC-e and Vircurex show it much lower, at 0.0065 - only a 1/10 of what your website shows.

How come?

Still from Bitparking. I will switch to btc-e as soon as I deal with those not working auto payouts.

I guess you are using port 9322 or 8322.
Just switch you miners to :
Stratum BTC pools:
cgminer -o stratum+tcp://coinotron.com:3333 -u workername -p password

Stratum LTC pool:
cgminer -o stratum+tcp://coinotron.com:3334 -u workername -p password --scrypt

Stratum TRC pool:
cgminer -o stratum+tcp://coinotron.com:3335 -u workername -p password

Is the login page disabled on purpose? Can't find any news related to this, I'm getting a Not Authorized error on clicking "My Account"...

Edit: figured it out, it was linking me to https://www.coinotron.com/coinotron/AccountServlet?action=myaccount instead of https://www.coinotron.com/coinotron/AccountServlet?action=logon while I wasn't logged on.
