Looks like March Madness starts March 17th and ends April 6th next year.

Now a question I should have asks earlier, what is march madness?  Grin

March Madness is the NCAA Basketball National Championship Tournament. Huge amount of action for sports bettors, worldwide... and some enjoy watching the games, as well.  Wink

Good to hear from the devs. Hopefully more news to follow soon. I am looking forward to Vegas!

While I am disappointed in not hearing from the devs or seeing any new apps, yet. I am still holding. Having another project to occupy my time has been a big help in not going stir crazy, waiting for news. I did think I needed to make an appearance to show my support and to let you all know that turning fifty did not kill me, yet.  Cheesy

So you didn't have a month long party???

I couldn't take the full month off. Had a couple of IRL clients who needed their websites finished. I'm also leading the dev team of another coin in trying to give it some new life... I enjoy new challenges, almost better than beer.  Grin

On top of that; my wife lost her sister, yesterday, from injuries from an automobile accident that happened the day before. Her sister's husband had died, suddenly, just a bit over week before that. Lots going on... My wife deserves a month off after what she has been through the past couple of weeks (and putting up with me for 29+ years).

No one could survive a month in Vegas.   The tournament as a whole runs a month,  but only on Thurs-Fri-Sat-Sun each week.   The best bet would probably be am early weekend,  or 4 day weekend if you will.

If there are only 7 of us mining at http://888.fedaykin.us  where are all the other miners at?  All the other pools have 0 miners listed.  Somewhere there is 400 MH (multipools maybe?)

I'm currently the only one on mining at FusionHash and have been for the last few days. It is possible that someone with a high enough hashrate is solo mining.

I looked at coinmine.pw, they have almost 200 MH there.  I don't know what other multipools mine Octo.  You should come over to fedaykin, we could use all the hashrate we can get.

I would guess multi pools. I also would guess it's possible that Fusion Hash hardware could be mining hidden.

There is only 200 Mh out in the wild.  That could be one ASIC farm solo mining.  We're still grabbing blocks!!

The dev team has been mining since launch and recently bought more used ASIC hardware from FusionHash. I am assuming they are just solo mining since I've never seen them in a pool. Last time we had a conference call with FusionHash, they claimed the OctoCoin guys made up over 25% of the OctoCoin network hash.

Hey bholzer, are they planning on buying fusion hash outright and managing it, or buying it and leaving the management to run it but direct it towards their goals?

Not sure - we have a call on Friday to discuss but my stake is pretty small and I've been quite busy lately so I'm unaware of the specifics. FusionHash isn't doing very well since the bulk of their funding went toward mining equipment/etc and they didn't sell enough private contracts before mining profitability took a hit so I'm all for a sale assuming everything makes sense (I was reinvesting my dividends and now dividends have been completely eliminated). I also know FusionHash has quite a few OctoCoins (well over 2,000,000 anyway) between fees/donations and their own mining as well. The public-facing pools that we use were actually my idea as I wanted a good launch pool for Murraycoin - I am assuming if the OctoCoin guys bought them out they would manage everything differently. I applied for one of the part-time positions at "OctoHub" about 3 weeks ago but haven't heard back yet - seems to be a lot going on over there. I'm trying to get back in the loop on everything but my other ventures are sucking up a lot of my time.

Our black widow blew up, waiting to hear from GAW for hopefully some good news. Week 3 so we paid a LOT for it! I'm sure they'll come through for us but it's a hard wait, especially watching all the octo we can't mine ourselves slip away!

Hi everybody! I just bought some Octocoin last night so I thought I'd come check things out and introduce myself.
I'm a die-hard Murraycoin believer, so when I saw bholzer was interested in and involved with Octocoin, I figured: Good enough for me! Smiley
I'm also a big Foo Fighters fan, so that would be very cool if the Octocoin team were able to get hooked up with the band somehow.

Happy TTGBIF!
(thank the good buddha it's friday)
