block production appears to have stopped at 165895?

Based on last known network hashrate and difficulty it should only take 9 minutes to generate a block and it's been several hours.

I'm guessing that the actual hashrate is probably more like the combination of FusionHash and fedaykin's pools (21.5Mh/s) which would put the block generation time at around 5.5 hours.  It's currently been about that long.

So the hidden pools that had been keeping Octo alive have now pulled out?

Since getting into Cryptocurrency I've had many bags, all but two have varied over time.  Those are the two I see in the mirror where my eyes once shone.

That's weird. Maybe only a temporary failure of one big miner farm?

ok guys, no responses so i'm going to assume that today isn't going to work. i'm on skype with StonerBoy right now if you want to join in random chat.

we will promote for next sunday and we will do it earlier at around 3:00-3:15 ish on Sundays from now on. Stonerboy is in Germany so it's about midnight there right now and he works on monday mornings at 7. this will allow him to participate in the full calls.

the point of the calls is to keep the board FUD free and hopefully we won't have a ton of posts about vaporware/hype/rumors. that doesn't mean we can't discuss those things. i think a good idea is to have someone (fatguy lol) take minutes and see if Bholzer can or will get the minutes to the devs.

that way we can discuss our concerns, gripes, complaints, ideas, plans, etc. and let the devs know how we feel. if Bholzer can't or won't that's fine. we can post the mins here and at least keep everything worded and spoken in a professional manner.

i still have faith in Octo and i believe they are probably doing  what they can to get things going but i think everything we've seen here for the last 6 months is concerning. at this point with Bitcoin 2.0 coins taking off, i don't want the failure of Octo releasing news on apps to be left in the dust. we lived through the era of country coins and the POS altcoin takeover. however, there are many coins out there that the devs need to deliver to keep Octo relevant and us from losing our investment.

it's interesting times. in no way is this meant to slight the devs, fusion hash, investors or anyone in the community. just healthy discussion that sometimes loses translation when typing on a message board. plus you never know, maybe this is what we need to kickstart some steam back in our community. the cool guy from murray coin (brian? i've seen him post here and there at the murraycoin boards but i'm bad with names and am too lazy to look at the moment.) posted the other day about positives that we can do as a community and my response was that we have been doing that and that it's hard to do when we don't have anything to go on due to lack of presence and guidance from the devs. i mean fatguy wrote 20 weeks worth of updates he pulled from random news and thin air and did a great job. we have talent and good people that can make ideas happen but we won't continue to do this with no direction i don't think.

and for those that think octo is on the way down or dead or that you can have a mass community sell off to drive the price down and kill the coin, none of those are good. at this point it's too early to have that attitude although i do not blame you. (specially the mass community sell off to drive the price down and get out as one random skyper who shall remain nameless and anonymous suggested. you can't do that because you risk the devs or fusion hash or investors buying it all up for cheap and then releasing the apps. i don't think the octo devs would do that, they have given no indication of such things but we have seen these shenanigans on other coins/boards.)

anyways, let's promote the call for 3:15 PM next sunday. Bholzer and FatGuy if you could check your pm's sometime i have questions for both of you that i'll send at some point tonight.

OC3 (Octo Community Conference Call)

Sundays @ 3:15 PM CST

Be there and let's discuss all things Octo! Remember guys, just like here on the board, we can discuss some of your concerns and rumors but let's keep it polite and respectful. We have done such a great job here for 6+ months keeping it tame here on the board. Let's continue to do so please.

Thanks, frameLAlife, aka OctoBagHolder hahahaah jk. i still love this coin and the dudes that are here. Hope to hear some good news from the devs soon Smiley

P.S. i am a lazy typer.... i don't do caps much. hehe

I also posted this to the MC board:

Hello fellow Murraycoiners and possible Octocoiners. I know Bholzer and brianbbad (sorry i couldn't remember your name on the official Octo board post for this) have been over on our board. We are going to start holding calls on skype every sunday to discuss all things octo and of course FusionHash. You guys are welcome to come and join the discussion Smiley Many of you may be Octo holders but all of you should be familar with FusionHash. While this is primarily discussion about those two things, you are allowed and will be given time for anything Murraycoin you would like to discuss, if you choose to do so. I would suggest appointing someone to keep track of what points you may want to discuss and run it by Bholzer and make sure he is aware and cool with it. Also, as a Murracycoin holder myself, you never know who over on the Octo board isn't, so this is a chance to let them get to know you guys and your community and possibly get some new buyers. Anyways, I hope to see you there. Any concerns, you can PM me here or add me on Skype. Please include that you are form the Murraycoin board and what your screen name is here just so we can keep track of who's who. If not you guys may want to change your nickname on skype to your screen name here please. Mine is already like that.

kristharp78 on skype.

Also, know this. if i am asked to remove these posts from the board by the devs i will respectfully do so but the calls will go on. This goes for both the Murraycoin and Octocoin devs. I do not see any reason why that would happen at all but i'm putting it out there. It would take a hell of a good explanation/reason to ask us to not hold such a call. Thanks guys!
