In Pakistan there is lot of talent for cricket but due to corrupt system talent is neglected and players who have relatives in PCB makes it to playing 11. Imam ul Haq (nephew of Inzamam), Azam Khan ( the fat giant is son of Moin khan), Usman Qadir ( son of Abdul qadir) are few living examples of current time. Imran tahir has played 20 tests and 107 ODIs for SA, so it's a good migration for him.

This issue of nepotism is present in all of the South Asian boards and there is no quick fix solution. Even in the Indian team, useless players like Hard dick Pandya were retained in the squad for many years, despite not contributing either with the bat or with the ball. And in the end, promising youngsters like Venkatesh Iyer and T Natarajan finds themselves out of the team. Even from Bangladesh, I have heard about similar stories. But SENA nations are more professional when it comes to selection. Their selection polices are very unbiased. 

I agree nepotism is big problem but not in team, instead its in management as far as Indian cricket is concern. So i think you're mixing nepotism with favoritism.

We can't say there is no nepotism, because going through the history of Umar Akmal and Kamran Akmal it is clear his father is a senior administrator in the Pakistan Cricket. Both are able players, but somewhere they might've used the influence. Other than Umar and Kamran, there is Adnan Akmal who is also a cricketer. Kamran Akmal's wife is the daughter of former test cricketer Mohammad IIyas. Umar Akmal's wife is daughter of former Pakistani leg spinner Abdul Qadir. Babar Azam who is an able cricketer is cousin of Akmal brothers.

With all this getting tied to cricket we can't say there is no nepotism. There is nepotism, still those players are able to give good performance unlike the way they entered the team.

Guy like Pandya comes from very humble background and had virtually zero backing when he started his career. I don't like his personality at all when it comes to discipline, attitude etc but i can't point finger on him as far as nepotism is concern.

I have never seen nepotism when selectors select the National team and i admire this quality of BCCI because sometime local management neglect this very attitude when selecting Ranji, club team etc.

Venky and Nattu are talented players but i can't blame selectors because in recent time Indian bench strength is getting bigger. Its nice headache for cricket loving country but tough on selectors and they are bound to make mistake sometimes. Nattu was injured btw (surgery i suppose).

If nepotism is there like you mentioned then where are Arjun Tendulkar, Rohan Gavaskar, Binny etc?

Sunil Gavaskar tried getting his son Rohan Gavaskar into the Indian side but was not able to due to his performance. Another name is Angad Bedi the son of Bishen Singh Bedi was a big failure in cricket but got some odd acting jobs in Bollywood and is now known as an actor. Sachin Tendulkar son Arjun Tendulkar has already made his debut but has yet to get recognised. If nepotism was part of Indian cricket then these guys would have been part of the Indian team.

Yeah.. it was quite shocking to see Multan going down by such a big margin. Fakhar Zaman and Kamran Ghulam destroyed the Multan bowlers during the first 10 overs and after that the match slipped further from their hands. Blessing Muzarabani, who had an exceptional match against the Zalmi leaked 48 runs from his 4 overs this time. Even then the target was not out of reach. But then, then the Lahore bowlers proved to be too hot to handle (Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Zaman Khan and Rashid Khan).

I would not say that kamran Akmal was the best keeper but he was the only keeper we had in those times. Many times, Umar Akmal was out of form and selection committee wanted to replace him but then the only keeper Kamran Akmal insists that if umar akmal is out of team, he would also not play. This left no choice for the board to keep the both players in the team.

Bravo goes back to CSK again. IPL auctioneer could not handle the pressure I guess,  collapsed during the auction. He is said to be stable now. After watching this I have to say that they approached the bidding really well and Even though the prices are a little less for the Australian players I would say the prices absolutely reasonable and nothing too crazy so far.
I am interested to see the destination of Matthew Wade and Steve Smith as these two can be the most important players of any team.

Ishan kishan base price was 2 crore but he was sold for 15 crore INR. The guy has played only 3 ODI and 5 T20I for India. I really have no idea how they are paying so much money for average player. Ishan is now the second most expensive Indian player in IPL till date. Let's see what  benefit this 15 crore player gave to Mumbai.

He have played good number of IPL matches, and his performance seems to be consistent which is the reason for his high pay on the auction. During 2018 auction he was bought by Mumbai Indians. In that season he is the highest run scorer for Mumbai Indians with with 516 runs from 14 matches. Maybe that can be a reason for paying this money on him.

Kamine paani ki tarah paisa bahate hai. Kishan is bit expensive but at the same time he was with MI for so long and part of their team building plan, earlier they were paying peanuts for him.

An inexperienced player is being charged an extremely high price for 15.25 crores. The price should be less than 10 crores or 12 crores at most. However, SRH ruined the game. Mumbai Indians made their first purchase of the day today, and it's a massive deal for Ishan Kishan! That was such a silly move on their part. Neither Quinton de Kock nor Trent Boult were chosen over Ishan Kishan. It doesn't make sense to me.
