On the other hand, I'm a bit curious on how MVP is feeling right now that MVP teams didn't enter the playoffs especially the TNT who we know is always dominating in every conference and has all the pieces to win a title. It's the first time for Coach Chot that he didn't enter the playoffs. It's the first time for the company that all 3 teams didn't enter the playoffs. An achievement. :X

Yes, the quarterfinals now do have a new look as TNT, one of the most dominant teams in the league, surprisingly didn't make it to the playoffs even at the lower spot that is eligible to enter the playoffs. It means some teams got improved and to be specific, it's Converge who did a big change.

TNT unfortunately wasn't able to sign a consistent import and that's one of the big reasons why they failed their campaign this conference. It's a big factor for them to have a strong import since their local key players are not in 100% shape plus Mikey Williams becoming a drama queen again during the mid-elimination.

If you guys remember, Mikey Williams is currently in a fresh contract extension after not playing for their early games in the last conference. Yes, it's clear that he wants more money that's why he acted like a diva again.

After a series of talks, he now decides to return to the country and join the team at the half conference.

Not officially reported but it's no doubt he was offered a much more salary than average by the TNT.

I think Mikey is not trying to dishonor his fresh contract but maybe being arrogant is already human nature to him because he thinks he's a star. Good thing that Jojo Lastimosa is not that soft and did some actions to slap Mikey in a nice way.

He must be livid. It is very expensive to maintain a PBA team and all of his teams not going to the playoffs is really bad. But there is nothing he can do. Injuries happen.

But for us, it is good. We have been asking for a different franchise entering in the finals, and this is an opening. If MVP teams are out, then there is no more MVP vs SMC teams on the finals. It might be SMC vs another team, maybe the Dragons this time. It is a good change.

Hopefully it is the Bay Area Dragons versus non-SMC team in the finals, but I think that is too much to ask. Magnolia and Ginebra is quite strong this conference and we cannot count out San Miguel. Once June Mar is back in full health, they will be a monster again. Just in time for the semis or finals.

Yeah, that would be better. I'm done with the SMC vs. MVP Finals match-up every conference. It's time for the independent teams to step up at least and compete with these 2 big companies.

Well, sh*t happens. Seeing SMC and MVP always fighting for the title for years is very boring. Take note that the league has been bashed because of these unbalanced trades coming from both companies especially for SMC and to see independent teams going to the playoffs is better, I guess because independents teams are given a chance to compete for the title.

Bay Area Vs. an independent team? I don't expect it though I will not be surprised. Bay Area Vs. Ginebra will be the best match-up for the PBA Finals because Ginebra fans will surely watch them play live and it's a win-win for both the league and the fans. More revenue and more excitement.

I think this to happen, and though I believe that Bay Area is going to be the favorite but I'm pretty sure Ginebra will not be dominated. Filipino fans would be willing to risk their money betting on Ginebra because they are the crowd favorite, and not only that, they are also the underdog, so that adds more value.

The problem was already created, the coaching staff will not forget what he did and they'll label him a "disrespectful player" although he is a superstar. odd is already decent since we really can't underestimate converge they are really playing competitively and the chance of this game to end with a close gap is very possible, -4.5 handicap is a tough call unless you are really aiming for a bigger odd and you are willing to take that risk, both teams are in need of this win a deciding position for the upcoming next round.

I think coach Tim will do everything to guide his squad and win this game for the fans.

It was indeed a blowout win, Ginebra is very serious in that game as it's a very important game. I'm thinking maybe they are preparing for the playoffs and they want to bring that intensity high. Maybe if they'll face the Bay Area Dragons, that would give them a very tough opponent, and though Bay Area are the favorite but it's not going to be easy beating the Ginebra Gin Kings.

Judging by the stats, it was  a complete effort and everyone were able to contribution.

With that win, Ginebra has a shot to get that twice to beat advantage, but their fate is on the hands of Rain or Shine if they will defeat Magnolia on the 2nd of December. Rain or Shine's game against the Magnolia is also important for ROS because if they will lose, they will be eliminated on the 8th spot and the NLEX will get it because NLEX defeated ROS in the elimination. A must win for the ROS in order to get the spot.

On the other hand, Converge will get the 4th spot and will face the San Miguel Beermen on a best of 3 series. I'm not surprised that this will end like this though I expect a more close match but nevertheless, congratulations to the Ginebra for getting their win. Now they will just wait on the ROS-Magnolia match-up.

Like other players who just came back after an injury, I expect nothing from him.

I'm not expecting him to score 20 points or more on his comeback. He will be given less minutes like what they did to Fajardo after his injury. Take note that Romeo didn't play for a very long time so let's not expect too much on his return. TBH, I'm leaning towards the negative one. He didn't play for quite some time, and it might affect the chemistry, but overall, it's good to see him coming back after the injury. Not expecting too much from him on his comeback and he might get 10 points at most.

Definitely correct, we can't expect too much from him and probably he might not be the starting player as he still need to familiarize himself with their current system. Eventually, if the progress is good we might see the old Romeo and this might be another deadly line up for SMB. For now, SMB needs to find their perfect combination especially with their first six, they should not rely too much from Romeo yet.
