There's no betting odds available yet so we can't tell how the bookies sees the game between SMB and Bay Area Dragon. IMO, Powell is the better import of the Dragons because he moves the ball well and they are very dominant with him. But it still depends on how you see it guys, not having Powell in game 1 is a huge advantage for the SMB.

It's good to see optimism when it comes to the Dragons, and I'm very optimistic as well with the team, but not as optimistic as it is now.

Having Nicholson as their import instead of Powell increases the confidence of other teams. I mean the Dragons are 2-2 when Nicholson is their import compared to the 8-0 record when their import is Powell. They are strong I agree with you, but they will think that "Ohhh, the Dragons are 2-2 when Nicholson is their import so at least we have a chance to beat them". They will think that they have a higher chance of winning when Nicholson is their import compared to Powell where the Dragons are undefeated.
I will put my prediction here.
Bay Area Vs. SMB - I'm an SMB fan and I always say that, but I think that the Dragons will defeat them in 4 or 5 games. The surprise of the Dragons against the ROS is Blankley, and he might do it again against the SMB. On the other hand, I want to see more of JMF dominating the paint like what he used to do before he got injured.

Ginebra Vs. Magnolia - I don't know if there is somebody who observed it as well, but Magnolia is known for having a high standing in an import-based conference, but they can't convert it when it comes to playoffs. I don't know if how the Hotshots will break that curse, and it might until this conference. On the other hand, Ginebra is known for their superb performance when there is an import. The import of Magnolia is one of the best if not the best right now, but I will go with Ginebra. I want to see 5 games for both matchups.

Whoever the import the visiting team really have that good advantage against the locals, but like you, as a fan I will also go with the home team, SMB is the defending champion and with pride(hopefully) they will give an entertaining game against the visiting team. They are all complete now and with the chemistries that they are showing playing against converge, I can say that the winning chance is still there for them.

Based on statistics and we know numbers don't lie, 68% of the teams who are winning Game 1 in a Best of 5 series go on and win the whole series. 2 out of the 3 teams go on and win if they win Game 1. Romeo and Perez scored 20+ points. JMF on the other hand scored 11 points only and 8 rebounds. I mean it isn't the kind of performance that we're used to see coming from him. Magnolia's import is out mostly during the second half, and I thought that it's over for them already, but I was wrong, and the Hotshots almost had a shot, but they can't just win it. Congrats on your win mate, the score is way below 193 points. Magnolia seldom plays a high-scoring ballgame since they are known to be a defensive team. Ginebra Kings won the game by just 3 points, 87-84 and CStand contributed a lot to that win with that lousy acting hehe. Yes, the import of Magnolia got ejected in the 3rd quarter via that 2nd technical foul by extending his foot on CStand.

Same question here, Romeo is known for that sequence not sure why coach sit him and not allow him to create the play, he can break the defense and drop the ball to anyone who's open or he can also take the shot and gamble for the win. Though it's only game 1 and they almost have it, meaning to say that visiting team is not that solid when facing another super-team with the stars is around.

Ginebra won and that’s a clear domination from them though its just a first game but I’m confident that Ginebra will continue its momentum so they can reach another finals. I don't see dominance from Ginebra, if you watch the game Mags lost their import in the middle of 3rd quarter and from that time if Ginebra can really dominate them it won't end as close as it is, Mags are competitive and they really know how to lean on each other it's so happen that the import have emotion problem that needed to workout. Already in semi-finals they need to play as pro as they can be.

Meanwhile, with SMB, it was a snatch a come from behind win and we really enjoy the game, especially if you are an SMB fan

SMB had the chance to snatch a game against the Dragon, but the Dragons were patient and disciplined. Little by little, they chipped away the lead of SMB. Game 1 confirmed my fear that the Dragons will lack some fire power against SMB without Powell as their import. SMB have the chance to win game 1 since they have an advantage in outside shooting. It will be harder for them if Powell comes back.
