I don't think Casillas will be as goal keeper coach for madrid, if he want to be a coach, maybe he will refuse current offer from madrid. He can work with Zidane to bring new era for Madrid from other side. I think this collaboration will be good since they are already work together as players in the past.

Is Cassillas isn't old enough to keep? Every player has a good playing period, I think is not time for Casillas now, he is already old enough to get as much in Madrid. Every club looking on for a new and experience players/goalkeepers  to get in club. Well, I'm not in board of directors plans but their must be a reason for Casillas to come in.

 I mean he is 39 and dude has done some goalkeeping at the highest ever levels. This dude has played with the Los galacticos level which I should say most of them became managers or even team owners at some point and he was still playing to this day. So I would say he would be one of the best goal keeping coaches in the world if given right courses. Just because you were an amazing player doesn't mean you will be a great trainer neither, you have to first study it and learn how to pass along your talents, you may know a lot of stuff but teaching what you know is different than knowing them.

 I think it worths a shot, I believe if they give him some chance, give him some good contract for youth team or B team or whatever and just teach him stuff for 1 or 2 years, after that they would have a 40-41 year old goalkeeping coach that could work for them for 20 years at least. Thats not something you can find anywhere that easily, plus he is royalty in Madrid as well, he has played there for very very long period so I would assume he would be welcomed with open arms.

So, we know another team promoted to La Liga. It's Huesca - they return after one season in Segunda. 3 teams which will play in playoffs is known also - it's Girona, Zaragoza and Almeria. BTW, seems that Deportivo will relegate to 3rd division. A bit sad about it, I remember when they were decent La Liga team...

Guys, have you at least read the article? He will be advisor of club, not goalkeeper. It's a bit strange, knowing how he had to leave club.
And after all, it's not just about age, eapecially for goalkeepers. Buffon is playing at 42. But Casillas suffered heart attack last year, so I doubt that he can play after it.

My favorite team become the champion and so glad when seeing Real Madrid captain take the trophy of La Liga, I know many people will choose Barcelona after Real Madrid without have Cristiano Ronaldo, I think Real Madrid have good team work right now except Barcelona always show off Messi as their player, will give bad reputation for team work if show of only one player in the team, look how get negative respond from Messi last several game in La Liga.

It's a bit irony to see during these years that clearly messi carry Barcelona alone, yeah that is true , try to deny this.
Then when Messi transfered out or get retired.. who's gonna carry Barcelona?

Haha very nice one EdenHazard;) I lived with a lot of years of joy to watch Messi and others give us many titles, so I must be able to accept it when we are in defeat. As Messi himself says we are currently a weak team, so we have to give plaudits all around to those who deserve it. I even say Atletico and Sevilla and others with their resources play so much better than us sometimes.

Messi carried Barca and Argentina many times, we have to let him rest.

Let him rest and even let him go to another team? Some agents are trying to put messi alongside cristiano at juventus , this is not a hot topic but the idea itself could bring some potential business there at juventus,  the rivalry seems ended between them and what about a collaboration now?

Messi deserves better place , the current Barcelona situation could make him frustrated.
I wish it happened and then he want to go transfered out.

looking at the quotes, and the table, will try again with small bet on Leganes, they are facing Real and have ambitions to stay in Primera, so there is their chance to stay, quote is going down, it is now @3.40, but worth a try
Celta is playing Espanyol, both teams did not win in last five matches, Celta does not have a decent match after humiliation of Alaves at home, and although Espanyol do not have any ambitions, do not think that Celta will win today, so Leganes could stay in case of win

According to their article today, Setien will no longer be the coach of Barcelona and will be replaced by Patrick Kluivert, who is the club's academy director.
''The publication claims that the Barcelona squad see Kluivert as a good replacement as he is well acquainted with how the Blaugrana should be playing''

The problem isn't the tree, but it's root... almost any coach would do well, with a different Barcelona board... Even getting top class coaches such Guardiola, Kloop or Allegri would not be the solution to the team's problems, these coaches would  all struggle in Barcelona with the current President and Board of directors.

If they could beat the newly crowned champion, Real Madrid and thanks to this they will stay in the league, it would be a really great achievement. The mere victory with Real, however, is not enough to ensure their stay in the league. They must also count on the loss of points by Celta Vigo. It is true that Celta is in really poor form lately, but they are playing in Barcelona with Espanyol - by far the weakest team in the league, which have lost their last 8 matches in a row.

Setien had never been a good coach ever he started coaching Barcelona, he isn't exhibit that character of gingering players to bring you the best in them. You can take example from Liverpool coach as there are many ginger in him to gets up his players from the slumber. So that's the weak part on Setien  style of coaching. Let's see what Kluivert would do in future.

Well, Messi could become the player with the most Pichichi trophies (7), and he just broke the record of most assists in a single season...but he didn't win a single domestic tournament this season so...

my predictions for 'who gets the last 2 europea league spots': Valencia and Sociedad. Getafe out
relegated: Leganes

I think the same about Barcelona performance in this last game of LaLiga and I must say Valencia has a tought game against Sevilla and we know that it's hard to beat them at home especially when Valencia plays so poor and barely scores 1 goal per match. Same goes for Sociedad against ATL.Madrid as I can't see ATL giving the game basically to them but if this happens I doubt it will be a clear game but a draw will do it.Getafe deserves this Europa League spot in my opinion but it all depends on them.

I think Patrick Kluivert does have some sort of right to be at the head, dude has been doing sports management related stuff for almost a decade now, of course not as a coach almost on all of them but he managed twente youth team for a while he was assistant coach for Netherlands, and same for Cameroon for a while as well and now has been at the head of youth department for the past year in Barcelona, that is a good CV if you ask me unless Barcelona plans to get someone who is already an established coach.

I still think they shouldn't let Pep go, these are teams that pays tens of millions of dollars for players and with that logic they could have offered Pep twice the money he is earning and he could have stayed, it is sad for them because he is definitely the perfect coach for them.

Yeah, a great game indeed but it was of no use, LOL!

As it currently stands, Its Granada and Getafe IN, Valencia and Real Sociedad OUT! That'd would be an awkward representation for the League in Europa, I'd be more comfortable with Sociedad and Valencia though.

fifteen minutes to go for Leganes, two goals seem to be too much to ask, but could not say that they are not playing good tonight
Celta will probably stay as it is, and Leganes has their chances in case of scoring, but time is ticking away for them

Barcelona should be grateful this season because they still see Messi looking fit and reliable as a goal scorer for them even though they lost a title that can almost be achieved for this season. The Barcelona goal feast for the last match of Laliga can be used as proof that Messi still has to be taken into account at Laliga next season. I hope that Barcelona can wake up and play well at UCL later even though it is very disappointing at Laliga.

Granada are going to the europa league! (qualifying round). Let's not forget that they were a recently promoted team 

Well, Granada got to this point thx to that amazing start of the season, you remember that? IIRC they were in the top 4/6 for a while and ppl were saying that they were going to surprise everyone this season

Granada is probably biggest surprise this season. They started powerful this season, but then they had quite long bad period, I was sceptical about their chances to finnish in Europa league zone. But 4:0 win against Athletic is impressive, though they played without key players.
But Granada still can lose spot in Europa league if Athletic will win Copa against Real Sociedad.
Getafe ended without nothing, despite that they been in high positions big part of the season. But they were awful after restart.
