Is there a mining calculator available for idena . I have hosted a VPS and need to check the total earning i would get if i run 24x7 and the possible earnings in iDNA.
Daily profit is around 8.25 iDNA and the requirement for running a iDNA node is around this:

Processor: 64-bit, 1 core (2 cores recomended)
Memory: 2GB
Hard disk: 100GB
Internet connection: Flat internet tariff, more than 600GB of monthly traffic

A typical $5 VPS would do the job. Having a stable 24/7 remoted node for iDNA is worth the money, I think.

From which supplier do you find such prices of $ 5 for a server with a 100g + hard disk?

I use a VPS with:
Code:
1 Cores
2 GB RAM
DDoS Protection
20 GB SSD Cloud Storage
24/7/365 Tech Support

All this for 3.65EUR/month (VAT included) and is running just fine for Idena node.

DigitalOcean and Vultr are just too expensive in my opinion at $10 + VAT, just because they can rape you.

Which Hosting provider is this ? i had some Azure credit lying around , so i hosted in azure . But 600GB bandwidth will be too much in Azure. Guess i need to switch to your provider's VPS.

Hetzner referral link with free 20eur code (register with this link to get it), they offer servers for low as 2.49eur/month for 1 core 2GB ram VPS! and have 20TB net included...

Don't go for the international VPS host like Vultr or DigitalOcean since they're very expensive. Try to look at your local VPS in your country since they usually offer a much better deal in terms of pricing. Some may allow you to opt out SSD to the HDD storage to suit your need, in this case, 100GB for iDNA node. See, some in this thread gave you a few suggestions already.

This is true, not long ago I found out that local providers are way more cheap than the international providers like VULTR or DIGITAL OCEAN. I paid a lot of money to them for the same services.

I did not know you needed 100GB storage. I am running it with 25GB and its not half full. Are you sure you need 100gb?

Currently  after running the node for 10 days in VPS , The HDD usage is just less than 2GB and the Bandwidth is around 90-100GB. I guess as more node's comes in, this value will grow exponentially . So plan accordingly.

~~

True that the bandwidth will grow alongside the network growth but I am sure that the devs will come up with a solution to this issue.

Hey guys I did a search on idena explorer https://scan.idena.io/ and also on https://idena.today/  the block height of the blockchain. Did I missed it or is just not there? This would be weird with such amount of info to not have the block height.

This is great! I would suggest to use the mobile version as the last resort if you are away from home, your PC. I bet it will be handy for a lot of users. Something is better than nothing.
