After seeing the mess that KNC just released called the Neptune I would say that you guys are the only shop that actually knows how to build a machine. The rest of the competition is just hacked together crap compared to your shiny box's. Beautiful software too.
I agree, but what's the point? My Avalon's didn't last a year. My S1's aren't going to last a year. Not a lot as far as mining equipment is going to last more than a year. I question what YOUR point is, I transferred a substantial amount of my (very hard earned) money into KnC's hands. I luckily got it refunded just in the nick of time, before it was too late to get it back (others weren't so lucky). From what I see and understand of there Neptune I would not have been very happy at all to receive the cubes, especially after all that time of waiting in the dark in reference to there horrible communication with the (paid) customers. I have to assume you don't own a Spondoolies product. Maybe if your a weekend hobbyist miner and don't mind the clutter and wasted space, then perhaps I can understand where your coming from. ~Blaise

I'm new to mining and only have a tiny Habanero miner in my basement. When I saw the SP30 I convinced my wife to buy a few. Now the worry of waiting begins.
Easier said then done I know but you picked the right company to trust your funds with. It's the price of BTC and difficulty that you (and the wife) have to worry about, not Spondoolies-Tech. Regards, ~Blaise

My point is creaming over enterprise level hardware is retarded because you're paying EXTRA for all of that when it's likely going to be shutoff and recycled within the year. Also, you're right, I don't own any SP-Tech gear because it's too f'ing loud and I'm not interested in cutting into my ROI by adding a bunch of colo costs. But, it is beautiful hardware and given my previous statement I'm obviously retarded too.

It is hard to make arrangements to co-locate your mining gear all because they're cutting into your profits which are so tight to begin with. The miners that have their own data center, free electricity and noise is not a factor will be pretty much these last mining rigs coming out can handle. After the middle of this year my guess the "consumer" is pretty much out of the equation due to power requirements, even louder gear and just the size of the hardware. Maybe 1 out of 10 people have their own rack in their basement but that's also in a small community in itself. I'm still trying to figure a way to get an SP30 and not having enough money isn't the problem. Price and logistics have made their way into my life.

Opentoe, we at ASICSPACE might be able to help you. Check the link in my sig. So far, most of the attention we've been getting has been from large to very large customers, around 0.5 MW to 10 MW. We'd love to have more customers on the 3 kW scale.

I currently have 3 SP10 hosted separately at 3 different locations as a trial run (I am in Australia, my h/w is in USA). I have a SP30 on pre-order in Aug. Maybe.. another in Sept. (fingersX). my pre-orders will go to where ever i fine is the cheapest with the best service.

Traditional colo is dying out making way for cloud hosting. There are plenty of under-utilized data centers looking to lease their space out. I was able to work out deals where the cost of the rack space AND power is less than the residential rate power I would have paid at home. You just need to know where to look, because these DCs don't usually advertise.

But still chugging along at www.michigan-colocation.com/index.php/server-colocation/bitcoin-miner-hostingMining Rate: 1.46Ths Temp Front / Back 30 °C / 76 °C Ozcoin mining pool reports: [21:36:45] <QG> .w gaederopus [21:36:46] <ozbot> This round (32d 18h 25m) QG.gaederopus has 238642448 shares (370 stales; 0.0%), avg 1440440 MH/s running rock solid on a 208v circuit. QG I'm running my SP10 at the same DC and they have been great. I didn't mean I couldn't find a place, I meant that the margins are so thin to begin with it is hard to give up anything on a monthly basis. I'm basically "cloud hashing" using my own equipment and paying someone to power it, cool it, insure it, and provide Internet access for it. Normal cloud hashing contract would most likely be more money since of course they would want to charge for the hardware itself also. +1 for Michigan.

The problem in the DC was fixed, we're back to normal. Over the next days, we'll compensate for the down time.
