How much BTC would you guys pay for a used sp30 right now?
4 BTC maybe can a "hero" pawnshop move away to another thread, please. You noobie Sr. Members just don't get it i should intervene, at risk of going way off topic, you shouldn't ever buy mining equipment with BTC. it's like buying BTC, with BTC put those worthless $$$$ into buying SP31 and get the much more worthy BTC when you mine 'em! Buy BTC with $$$ then buy miners with BTC is what I do, when and if the price is right and profitability / resale potential is possible. These units do have a strong resale value still. I am still mining with some S3s on an altcoin sold off my SP30s after a month solid mining them great machines. Our school is keen on getting some SP20s or C1s for fun and giggles later.

Guy has still not contacted me regarding my refund/compensation.
It is becoming frustrating now e-mailed them again and again every day.
I have even received my invoice for the hosting at Michagan.

I'm sorry for our slow handling. You got the following reply yesterday: We are reviewing this to determine what compensation is needed. Guy

So you are not EVEN mining right? And when deal does not suits you you cry for refund. Nice seems fair. How pathetic..

However, ASIC stats shows: LOOP[3] OFF (test serial failed or something) 6: disabled (i2c good, no OC) 7: disabled (i2c good, no OC)
Should I be concerned?

This is NOT a marketplace thread, but if you insist, I have one or two for you for, say, about 9-9.5 BTC. Watch various OP jump on this with their ridiculous 4 BTC comments. Then, perhaps, moderator will remove all of this. SP35 is for sale at $3900 plus shipping, that's more than 12 BTC. Sp35 is 5.5 th vs 4.5 th for Sp-30., but ships later in the month. 12X4.5/5.5=9.81 BTC fair price for Sp-30.

Back during the summer I paid 10.5 BTC for a SP30. I got refunded 2.1 BTC (for compensation) and the nice unit mined 4.24268512 BTC up to this date. I can see where Blazedout419 comes from. It makes some sense what he said if you disregard the hosting paid since Aug, or electricity if you were keeping it at home. I guess the answer is between 4 BTC and 9 BTC .. if I would want to get even right now, I'd sell it somewhere around 6.5 BTC .. the hosting is expensive (about 1 BTC/month now). However, the units are good and can mine a lot longer. If you have free electricity ~4 BTC is straight on the spot. With the unit I got home, the whole thing gets more complicated. I paid another $560 in taxes at customs (so another 1.5 BTC) .. that makes it even more expensive (up to 8 BTC) if you buy one from Canada. And that's just to get even, and if the seller does not want to make any profit on it.

Yes. The unit didn't manage to make the 2 ASICs work. That is 25% of it's ASICs, so that has big impact. Both ASICs 6 and 7 sit on same PSU. Try to switch PSU between boards to see if the problem in board or PSU.

SP31 received today. Thanks Spondoolies!!!!!
Upgraded FW to 2.5.6
Mining Rate: 4752.63Ghs
I am going to let it sit for a while and burn-in. It had a little odd behavior after the FW upgrade with one of the PSU's going offline and the mining rate cut in half. I pulled plugs and reset and the unit came back up and I had to start the miner manually. It's been running fine so far.

Alright, well, I got my SP20 rig today and I've got to admit, it's pretty nice. I take back MOST of the stuff I said about Spondoolies. Now tell me, what's the trick to getting it over 1310 gh/s?

what kind of power supply are you using? please post link to the manufacturer or newegg/tigerdirect sites
then, log into the unit and post here the contents of your ASIC stats page.

Zvi, What can I do/check to have this LOOP 9 communicate with the rest of the rig? It usually comes back after a number of reboots/restarts and then fails again when the mining process is restarted for whatever reasons might be (pool communications .. etc). Eventually .. it brings the whole bottom board down, the miner then hashing at about 2.2Gh/s. I lowered the power limits below those set by the miner itself, with about 30W per power supply. I also limited the voltage from 660 to 708 to avoid ASIC overheating (i.e. above 115 degC). The firmware is 2.4.23. Please upgrade to latest version (2.5.6 experimental), but most probably it wont help. It looks like it was damaged in shipping. Mark the whole loop as "removed" in "settings"->"asics". Regards` Hi Zvi. The update to 2.5.6 helped. I've seen that the PSU power is now limited at 1250 .. anything above it entered in the UI does not reflect in miner-gate config files after restart, when the unit restarts with 1250 no matter what you have in the UI. At least this is how it works here 6h+ uptime now with no events. Before the upgrade, I had to restart the miner-gate and/or reboot the unit every 2h.
