Is that the only text that goes into the cinnicoin.conf file? Where do I put the "reservebalance=999999"?

Thanks!

Put everything in the CinniCoin.conf.

But you won't be able to stake when you set reservebalance=999999.

Put everything in the CinniCoin.conf.

But you won't be able to stake when you set reservebalance=999999.

So nothing like this is needed:

server=1
listen=1
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=pass
rpcport=31812

?

Thanks! Send me your cinni address

FAQ
  • What is PoS?
    Proof of Stake. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proof-of-stake
  • What sould I do to start PoS mining?
    Have your wallet unlocked and online.
  • How compund interest is calculated?
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compound_interest#Compound_Interest
  • I still don't understand PoS interest!
    Then think about it as 3.5% per year
  • What is the number of coins?
    15 million in PoW phase. Then 3.5% inflation per year assuming everyone is staking
  • What is happening when my coins are offline? Am I loosing reward?
    You are loosing transaction fees and compound interest. Nominal interest will be paid when you find a block
  • How can I help?
    If you want to help, feel free to send me a message with skills you possess and I would be happy to discuss any opportunity.

I would like draw everyone attention to this article,  it has some important information and examples of how change addresses work and it is the same for bitcoin, cinni and every other altcoin that exists. Everyone should read it so they can understand better how transactions work.

Important parts to read are "How Bitcoin Transactions Work" and "Preventing and Recovering from Change Address Disasters"

As I understood OP. Do I have to consider donating to the Rynomster who works hard ??

I'll post an update soon.
Right now we're working on getting the DPOS Cinni to work. Maybe in a few days we'll release a beta for it so people can help us test and tell us if they find problems while using it.
Also I talked to the developer of https://chainz.cryptoid.info/ about adding Cinni to his site. It has nice features like rich list and largest wallets list.

Does anyone knows what's going on here ?

BUT IF SOMETHING IS GOING ON WHY OP IS NOT UPDATED ?

The short term roadmap/timeline:

  • Add DPOS, aliases, stealth addresses to Cinni. Switching to DPOS would fix all transaction and staking problems. Also in my opinion DPOS is a lot better than normal POS. The alias system would allow people to send coins to aliases instead of addresses, the stealth addresses are for anonymity
  • Launch a beta so people can test on a test chain before the actual release
  • Since switching to a new DPOS chain would require a snapshot, a snapshot would happen before the DPOS update.
    Of course since this would cost the exchanges time, I will compensate them for the time they spend on participating in the snapshot from my own money. The snapshot will be very close to the release time of the DPOS update release so exchanges can stop the deposit/withdrawal from the old chain so people don't sell Cinni from the old chain on the market.
  • Release the DPOS update
  • Make a new website for Cinni since I do not have access to the current one.

  • Make a website for the TimeBank DAC
  • Launch the TimeBank DAC beta for people to test it before launch
  • Make a snapshot of Cinni, Bitshares PTS, and Bitshares AGS for the distribution of the TimeBank DAC
  • Launch the TimeBank DAC
  • Make the betting system for TimeBank. The betting system is on time-based things. The longer the bet is, the more it would cost to make. So it will be sort of like a prediction market based on the time it takes for certain things to happen.
    Someone can make a bet on how long it takes btc to pass $500 on Bitstamp and it can use a feed to see if btc is $500.

Cinni has 2 more devs on the dev team. We are working as fast as we can and will make sure everything works well.
Thank you for supporting Cinni.

someone stole your idea and made an ipo coin https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=795747.0
he stole the timebank project's trading code too.

I saw it, the least he can do is change the trading code.
Anyway, I don't think it will take any value from Cinni or Timebank project. The Timebank project is different, It has an asset exchange where normal people can issue and trade assets, innovative way for visualizing balance, and we're making a betting system based on time-based things.
