To disclose, I'm not using Minergate. I was briefly, but it doesn't support gpu mining for Aeon (only exception among all supported currencies), so I switch to good old ccminer and arux pool.

It does. Just tested it with a 750ti.

Thanks. I thought cryptonight-light algo is not supported at all. It seems like just some gpus (like mine GTX 970) is not supported. At least that's what I see in latest Minergate version (5.07).

The 970 works just fine also but like I said, I don't use that MinerGate software.

Straight miner with the command line.

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks Wink

awaiting for wolf's binaries, i copied his recent work (from xmr miner) into my repo https://github.com/Arux-BTT/wolf-aeon-miner (branch: substantial_performance_increase)
Code:
git clone https://github.com/Arux-BTT/wolf-aeon-miner your_local_folder
cd your_local_folder
git branch substantial_performance_increase
make

hashing at ~1080h/s (vs ~800 before).  feel free to use it, windows64 build available at https://github.com/Arux-BTT/wolf-aeon-miner/releases

Thanks Arux. My little Pitcairn HD7850 went from 420 to 630h/s.
Unfortunately, it still cuts 100h/s out of 850h/s from my 8core FX processor because of high CPU usage.
Its a great improvement anyway.

Tell him to pull again, CPU usage issue should be fixed.
And of course, the first thanks goes to you, legendary Wolf0   Smiley

lol, thanks. I'll probably make a binary signed by me with the CPU usage issue fixed as well later.
Oh yes! That was a success.
It really has 0% CPU usage.
Now I have about 680h/s with my little Pitcairn HD7850 and 860h/s with my 8core FX processor @4GHz.

To be honest, all cryptonotes needs a free software like minergate's one.

I think you have a point. What is it specifically about the minergate software that you think is most valuable?

One thing that caught my attention regarding minergate is their Javascript miner that can be integrated in any website. It has the potential of helping with the decentralization of mining and help support the free services we use online (instead of the Ad'geddom we have now).

bittrex has very low volume, aside from the recent ETH pump. I wonder if they are even profitable at this point? which is why we need to be trading on other exchanges as soon as possible.

Cross-posting from AEON Speculation

Lets all agree that this is a great logo and adopt it now.

Can we table the slogan debate until later (since that is the only thing that remains contentious)?

Good plan.

AEON BRANDING PACK Version 12.5

Hereby releasing into the public domain all source material that pertains to AEON 12.1 iterations with corresponding text components but absent taglines.

I've set up a Dropbox and uploaded everything there, including multiple PNG formats for the principle social media formats as well as the source vector SVG files:-

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/a4b8hxwgtn6dpfa/AAArW3dZODKyxdQ0SEn0sXYna?dl=0

You'll find everything you need there.

The color palette and typeset is as follows:-

COLOR 1: #5fbcd3ff
COLOR 2: #2c89a0ff
COLOR 3: #164450ff
COLOR 4: #333333ff
COLOR 5: #ffffffff

TYPESET: Ebrima (Bold)

aeoncurrency... I recommend using the 400x400 logo for Twitter:-

For everything else including websites, Reddit, splash screens etc.... you'll find it all in the DropBox.

Use it, spread it, do whatever you want with it.

Good luck! Kiss

It's a kind of blindness that reason alone cannot cure.

WTF is that link?  It has nothing to do with a coins proposal.  It be spam.

Edit:  seems the link was fixed.

Okay let's consider this an official proposal then, open for comments:

Quote
Once the base reward declines below 0.3/minute, then reward will switch to inflationary at a target rate of 0.8888888....%/year (actual rate may deviate slightly in practice due to variations in block rate, block reward penalty, rounding, etc.)

I suppose this is a bit of a late vote, but still wanted to express an opinion on this one for the record.
Looks like Moo had a very special find there, I'm all-in for the 8/9 inflation rate!  Smiley

Has this concept been shelved for Aeon?

No

sorry, the front-end was down during the night (UTC +1).
no shares were lost.
i host the front-end with SimpleHTTPServer (python), it's indeed very simple but sometimes it's flawed. i shall look for an other http server.

an additional http server (lighttpd) is now running on port 8081
http://52.8.47.33:8081

if it's more stable and if it do not eat all my bandwidth, it will replace SimpleHTTPServer on port 8080. (don't know why SimpleHTTPServer is randomly freezing)

Monero now has a dev meeting every 2 weeks on IRC. There are probably not enough Aeon devs to justify that but how about having a community meeting on a regular basis to discuss branding and other ideas?

the main problem i see is that aeon is limited by only trading on one low volume exchange, and the community voted to wait until lightning database is integrated before asking polo to add aeon. The question is, when will this be accomplished?

Boolberry has had pruning for a long time. I am not aware of any announcement to change it. Do you have a source for that? This is the closest I can find to an announcement:

Hi Folk!

Sorry for being away all this time, was really busy with preparing public betta of our second project.
I've reconfigured first seed node and in process of re-configuring others nodes.

http://boolberry.com/state.html is up again.

I think there are many people who are eager for things to happen. As far as I know smooth is working on the LMDB integration by himself. Lets give him all the time he needs to do it right!

Someone asked about Changelly on Reddit. Can anyone comment on this?

I propose we make this week an unofficial "tell a friend about Aeon" week. Lets get more people thinking about the benefits of an untraceable blockchain
