Wow, 1000 pages. I never thought we'd make it here so fast!

I'd like to take this occasion to make two really special announcements.

The first is related to me personally. I have thought a lot about my life over the past year and with NEM we only have one shot at success. Therefore, I am quitting my job to work full time on NEM and building the NEM ecosystem.

Supporting me in this is my second announcement: we were able to get venture funding for building a project on top of NEM that has the potential to change the lives of billions of people. I will not to go into details yet (we are the master of the ninja launch), but I think it shows the potential for our platform, especially since we have mainstream interest in our project.

It's going to be both exciting and scary over the next several months, but let's work together to change the world for the better. We only have one shot at this.

I think we've worked hard to keep the project from just being a speculative instrument. From here on out, more and more features will be added and the utility will increase. Once we can get real users and not speculators, then marketing can kick into full gear, but until then we are operating mostly in stealth mode.
