silverbox,
oh btw, i have a bad habit of always doing this when ppl troll me like you have.
would you care to bet 10 BTC that Apple never reaches $700 within the next month?
Didn't I just say I wouldn't touch aapl with a 10 foot pole? lol I'll bet you 10 BTC that it doesn't go down under 500 in the next month thu. Lets see that crash of yours. I don't know where its gonna top, but its not gonna crash. give me 2 mo and i'll take your bet. done . If AAPL has went below 500 between now and June 10th, I owe you 10 BTC, otherwise you owe me 10 Edit: adjusted for splits of course for memorialization purposes

i love Apple products. i'm typing this on my macbook.
Hipster SLW down 5.71% and back under $30.
It was mentioned earlier that a decline in equities would put pressure on gold, precious metals in general. However, it's apparent that the metals are stable - physical demand appears to be breaking the paper charade. Games can still be played with the mining shares, so that's where the effort is being focused.

Careful - if management decides to sprinkle some of Jobs' ashes on the next run of iPads & iPhones, the stock will go to $1,000,000

Are we seeing a start of the Mint Chip Bump?
The mint chip is good for bitcoin? As in the reason for a price rise? Other than the free press, why?

Are we seeing a start of the Mint Chip Bump?
The mint chip is good for bitcoin? As in the reason for a price rise? Other than the free press, why? Perhaps they're legitimizing the usage of digital currency but in a way that isn't going to work? The Canadian Mint is making a mistake.

MintChip fits in the paper money category. With a central issuing authority, it's functionally the same as existing fiat. It just gets transferred in a modernised manner. If it legitimises the concept and method of cryptography securing currencies by official acceptance, which seems possible, great. If it's discredited or fails without there being a public comparison to Bitcoin, people may shy away for a while yet.
