I got into bitcoin in 2011 knowing that everything that happened till now would, the issue is I am unsure of what happens after the media catches on, does it go mainstream and do people actually start using it everyday, or is it another great idea that never catches on? is it time to sell? or should I hold till 10K? or should i hold till i do not need to sell?

To tame your fear: Sell 10% now, 10% when price has doubled and so on. Don't know about every grandma using it to buy coffe, but cryptocurrency will bring huge change. |

BTC will fall due to media involvement
Now, BTC is at the mercy of the media. The media will definitely pump this sucker up quite a bit, but the moment something better--or something which benefits those in power--comes on the scene, the media will stop broadcasting about BTC and start pumping something else. That's not to say BTC will die due to media involvement, but it can definitely be hindered.

LOL. It has to be the most useless thing I can think of to spend money on! For some reason, it seems to fit Goat! (I mean that in a good way Goat, someone has to have all the fun!) If I had that kind of money, I would probably buy a tractor and some nice tools! That way I can uhh... work better.  it was a PR stunt for BTC. if people are like well, i can use BTC for Lambos maybe this is something i should look into. yes, we got yellow cuz btc, yes it is not practical at all esp as i wont even be in the country (most of the time) it is located in. this wont fit on a plane to thailand. lol If you are into PR stunts, I have one for you! Although, it's not for the faint of heart! 1. Publicly announce your bitcoin address along with proof of ownership. 2. Get arrested for some high profile crime where you are required to pay fines of an amount that is impossible with your non-bitcoin assets. 3. Don't pay, go to jail. 4. Wait (be a good prisoner). 5. Get out of jail. 6. Publicly announce your bitcoin address (unchanged) along with proof of ownership. I think DPR had the opportunity to pull this off, but failed miserably for whatever reason. LOL I think the 5m BTC wrench will change step #6 |

In no way do I endorse drug trading, but in certain ways the bad guys are doing good for us all. One of my teachers often use the analogy that the bad guys are like the insurance fee we paid, they go out there to pull off the most bold, brazen, and reckless endeavors possible, employing the same kind of protection we use, if it's proven that they don't get busted in the end, then those of us who are not as reckless can be sure that the same kind of protection mechanism must be safe for us too. |

Is there any way to see a sort of order book in markets such as gold (I'm new to this fake CFD gold business?) Not that that would protect against these huge market orders that keep getting executed...

Wow, learn2PR. Buying something at Walmart is good PR if you are a Presidential Candidate accused of being out of touch with the people, but otherwise... who can't just go to Wallmart and buy something? so what, ho hum, no news. Most people can't go buy a hot flashy car much less with only using secret numbers their computer made up. It is way more interesting. Sexy, crazy, cool. Headline making. Lifestyles of the rich and famous worthy. As PR stunts go, it is a good play. Houses bought with forgotten hard drives. Lost Million dollar floppy disks in landfills, race cars bought with digital money. Those are news. Walmart accepting Bitcoin may indeed be a better thing for Bitcoin, but at the moment, it is somewhat more of a difficult hurdle than finding someone to sell you a car. |

If you hold dividend-paying stocks for the long-term, the price doesn't matter very much. If you trade for a living, price is all that matters. Either way, there's some level of exposure to the cannibalistic system. So I don't care A few months ago, I suggested that the USD$1k level might be the point where war would be declared on Bitcoin. It's starting to look like it has been. Both banks and gov't will protect their routes to conquest -- Bitcoin is finally being seen as a legitimate threat to their highly controlled regime of fiat and gold. Those plans will not endure intact, but having been laid down over decades there is a lot of interest in preserving those investments in time and resources. Their downfall is that they don't see how the game is changing: it is no longer about exclusive domination, but inclusive collaboration. Be self-sufficient and stand your ground, friends. |
