How does the lowest GPU breath? What temps at what settings? So many questions?  Grin

Been meaning to post this for a little while, but I've only just got round to it. 6 x 7950s with another 3 soon to come. Currently managing about 3600 kHash/s mining litecoin. Its a group project with six of us involved, but I've ended up doing most of the setting up seeing as everyone else had exams, whereas I'm on a year out from uni.

Nice woodwork.

Lol, thanks, I hope its not a fire hazard! Obviously the GPUs will cut off if they get too hot, and there's a circuit breaker in case of a power surge so hopefully its all good. Should be making some metal frames eventually though.

i've got 15Boards running ~32Cards....
2 AC's:

1 32k BTU and 1 Mobile 8000BTU... those barely keep the temp in the mid 70...
I`m looking for a good cooling solution

It sounds like you need a better location. I have 18 cards and with the power of mother nature they stay between 50-101*F depending on the time of year. I do bring a box fan out in the summer though.

Very well done, congrats!

If you 'double' riser the end card you could space them out a bit more for more airflow.

Tired of substandard power distribution in your ASIC setup???   Chris' Custom Cablez will get you sorted out right!  No job too hard so PM me for a quote

Twin Frozr III's  Kiss

Now that's what I call a rig! Very nice!

I will agree with HippieTech, tho. Why are 2 of them running so much cooler than the others? The same GPU, same setting, uniform spacing for airflow, and they're ranging from 59-86C?!

Tips? 1crazy8pMqgwJ7tX7ZPZmyPwFbc6xZKM9

The one with with the fan on the open side is probably coolest then the rest gradually run hotter as they suck in the air exhausted by the card beside it until the last one which runs the hottest.

Excellent work, thecryptokeeper!  Did your LEPA come with a 6th PCI-E cable, or did you make one/buy one separately?

Just curious - how did you figure out that only 1 of the risers needed to be powered? was it not working or is the riser the only 1x etc?

I ran it for a few weeks with 4 cards on non-powered risers. Then I felt like adding a fifth card. But was unsure if the mobo would survive. Look for massnerder's thread about the rig fire he accidentially caused. That's why I went for powered riser for the fifth card.
