What happens to bets under the min? The information on it is bit lacking on site...

I do recall reading somewhere that "bets under the minimum are considered as donations"

not exactly, it just take a lot of time to come back. Example:

Bets larger than around 1 BTC requires a confirm.

My experience is that the threshold above which a confirmation is required is, in fact, 2 BTC.

Hello, my name is Steven and I use satoshidice often with my coinbase account. However, yesterday in the morning I made a bet using MTGOX which I won around 20 BTC which is shown here:
http://satoshidice.com/full.php?tx=b36e960a0336c4ba1f262658b3fb9a11ea65708351fb4469f4d8c8f9f1bdc5c2
However, I have not received my payment yet.

I contacted MTGOX support yesterday.
http://imgur.com/TMu3mqx
In short, they told me that the send address is changed every time I send thus my payment seems to be unredeemed of some sorts according to these websites.
I have sent in a couple more support tickets but they keep asking me to message satoshidice but I do not know how.

My winning coins seem to stuck in an address that I don't know how to access.
http://blockchain.info/tx-index/58730665/7e05a89f9eb883fb680b29d9fca4df2c76a12f0d16affbdffa8fb0ccad2908db
http://blockexplorer.com/tx/7e05a89f9eb883fb680b29d9fca4df2c76a12f0d16affbdffa8fb0ccad2908db#o0

I tried to prove to them through a history.crv file of my transactions : http://imgur.com/y1CAqDP, that the transaction that took place was at the EXACT same time, Same satoshidice address, same amount as the satoshi dice transaction which won me my BTC. I do not know how else I can make my argument.

Now I admit I have made a mistake. I should have continued using Coinbase as my base of operations for satoshidice, tried and true method. However, I will continue to keep messaging mtgox because I am a newbie and don't understand exactly where my BTC is currently residing. Has it just disappeared? I do not have much value and this is quite a lot of money to me. I just want this to be resolved and know for sure whether it is just gone forever or redeemable because it seems the coins are just sitting somewhere and I want to know what I must do...

Best,

That happened before.. unfortunately you are out of luck. Theres a warning from the site try it with 0.01 first to see if you get anything back. You may have missed it.

It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Gox does have the private key but they just are most probably not willing to go through the effort.

Interesting ...

He should simply be able to explain the mistake and request MtGox to return the funds at least the first time he makes such a mistake.

Steven, simply request MtGox to do it and reply here with their response.

People on the forum seem to be of the opinion that people not returning mistakes should be labelled scammers ...
... and this is clearly something where MtGox would have a record of the original transaction and be able to verify it and return the mistake.

Isn't the problem here that Gox uses a shared wallet. so the address the SD winnings were sent to could well have been a different Gox customer's deposit address.  That customer could already have withdraw Steven's winnings.

Yes, I think there is only a little chance for MtGox to resolve this unless they pay it out of their own pocket. Which would be a cool move for customer satisfaction but will probably never happen (Understandable, as it is really not a MtGox mistake).

-1

An occasional person who 1. thinks that mtgox is a wallet service and 2. can't read the first line on the satoshidice "how to play" page is not mtgox's main source of income. Mtgox makes 0.6%-1.2% per trade on millions of dollars of currency trades a day.

I remember a help desk system I used, somebody had put in a solution "training issue"->"user is a l0ser". It was removed after it consistently ranked in the top five problem solutions.

congratulations SatoshiDice on finally pushing bitcoin to its breaking point of a global 7 transactions a second

Problem Lukejr ?

Seriously though, others might be detractors but i doubt bitcoin could have made it this far in the public eye without your casino leading the way for blockchain verifiable gambling.
I do hope the issue is addressed before we start seeing media noise about the 7tx/s limit vs paypal, visa.mastercards XX'XXX tx/s, It could be a huge blow to consumer confidence, but we could hardly fault you for being one of bitcoins big success's.

I would like to see sites like yours offer account logins in addition to the current blockchain gambling method to help ease the burden.
Surely some gamblers would like to reduce their losses due to tx fees, I personally would do this for small amounts (up to 2btc) but never for large amounts.

Most likely not. TX IDs? Did you use Bitcoin-Qt or Blockchain.info?

Are you using Multibit by any chance?
If so, reset the blockchain and transactions and you'll see the missing coins.
Multibit is a buggy client who sometimes doesn't see incoming transactions, despite being a fucking network hog.
