Gapcoin and Riecoin have both found many numbers in their respective categories.
Also worth noting that Gapcoin seems to find prime gaps which are considered of higher merit than most others. Merit "indicates how much larger the gap is than the average gap" (ref Dr Nicely's site).
I am not sure how science will use these numbers. Maybe in a hundred years they will be found to correlate with some natural process and having these numbers will allow another branch of science to progress.
