... maybe we should open tickets on Cryptopia and ask them, - when they will add Gapcoin (already paid for it!) ?
At first glance, Cryptopia looks like an excellent exchange. They offer a lot of services and are aggressive about starting new projects. But the idea of paying to get a coin listed is a little messed up. BTC38 for example also has 'paid voting', but specifies that they do not profit from the paid voting http://www.btc38.com/trade/vote_for_trade_en.html , in other words their incentive is to list actual quality coins. I want to buy some gapcoin, I have very little and do not mine, so if it gets listed on Cryptopia I'll buy there, but people should be looking for a better option, either a less whorish exchange or some other way to trade. If a person wants to try and make a market in gapcoin by listing buy/sell orders with a spread that allows them to make a fair profit, I will buy some to start, and if their project looks reasonable I'll try to support it. [I plan to make some way to list gap offers but I am not able to do this as a longterm project and would rather somebody more capable did it.] There is free voting, paid voting is for people who don't want to wait or risk losing to a more popular coin, calling the exchange whorish for that is retarded and a good way to get ignored. We will gladly refund all votes if we are too whoreish for you precious coin. Hey, man, why you so angry? First of all, - Gapcoin is not a my coin. Secondly, - paid voting is a Cryptopia's feature, it's not a my whim! And the most important thing - if you are an official representative of Cryptopia exchange - tell us, what's the problem with Gapcoin listing? If you have any problems/difficulties with wallet compiling/syncing - I'll help with great pleasure!

And the most important thing - if you are an official representative of Cryptopia exchange - tell us, what's the problem with Gapcoin listing? If you have any problems/difficulties with wallet compiling/syncing - I'll help with great pleasure! He was mad at me for disrespecting his exchange. ~I don't want to interfere in getting the coin listed. ~ In my opinion there are not a lot of very high quality coins, like gapcoin, no premine nor ico, honest development, useful algorithm that contributes to science etc, and in my opinion, only my opinion, it is better to avoid things that are normally associated with lower quality coins, e.g., pump campaigns, paying for listings, etc. Gapcoin has a clean history, is a good coin, will eventually do well whether or not one exchange or another wants to list it. Some exchanges offer listings entirely in exchange for money, and lend themselves to blatant scamcoins. A person creates an absurd coin with a massive premine/ico/whatever, pays to list then unloads a bunch and disappears. The fact that Cryptopia offered a discount on listing coins from Cryptsy means maybe they are trying to focus on quality coins. I don't know. I don't think gapcoin should pay to be listed but it is not my coin and many people do not agree with my opinion. add I should not have used the word whorish. A number of exchanges will promote lesser quality coins in exchange for money and it may be a business model that will work out for them, who knows.

Thanks Cryptopia Support Aha, it took a couple of days for a stupid scamcoin LADA to be listed on Cryptopia. But, the Gapcoin isn't listed 3 weeks after that voting ended. Why? P.S. I can even provide a full synced Gapcoin blockchain for Cryptopia, to save their time.

At the bottom of the CMC pages http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/gapcoin/ you will see © 2016 CoinMarketCap | Advertise | API | BitcoinTalk | Newsletter | Request Form
For any coin somebody wants to update they can click on "Request Form" and submit new info. 7 new Cryptopia markets have been submitted to CMC.

I think this exchange is not a good choice with 8 BTC total volume. Better than nothing but...
I don't think Bittrex will add it without active development.

I don't think Bittrex will add it without active development. Yeah, that's the problem. Sad that j0nn9 had abandoned GAP. J0nn9 did not really "disappear". He made the coin, bought a fair amount of it which he still holds, set up scripts to provide public access to gap records... and then went about whatever he does, probably teaching college or working as an accountant for a drug dealer or something. Yom Ki made a program to submit the gap records to Dr Nicely's site and Mycoinsstore arranged to get the coin on Cryptopia after Polo decided to focus more on scamcoins. As for other exchanges, Bittrex would be a good one but there are a lot. There is a list of exchanges, by volume, here http://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/volume/24-hour/Maybe it would be beneficial longer term to get it on a Chinese or Russian exchange since those countries are more known for math/science. BTC38 is a good exchange in China. BTCE used to be the big exchange to buy altcoins on a few years ago, but they have languished. Maybe a Russian speaker can go to Moscow and sit down with a BTCE person over borscht and discuss adding gapcoin. Bittrex would be cool too.

BTCE delisted XPM, so for GAP is no chance at all.
