1001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2023/2024 on: October 17, 2023, 11:23:18 AM
Arsenal can win the game only if they don't let over confidence get hold of them. Right now, they are the second club to beat Man City this season and this could make them regard Chelsea as a piece of cake and coupled with the fact that the Blues are still finding their feet, it might happen.
In the Premier League it was Wolves that was the first team to beat Manchester City this season which inflicted their first Premier League loss. Arsenal were the second team to defeat Manchester City and that resulted in back-to-back Premier League defeats for them.

Marseille Desailly, a Chelsea legend believes Arsenal could be given a surprise thrashing by the Blues when they pay a visit to the Stamford Bridge in the weekend but I'm a bit doubtful about this, but football can be full of surprises and maybe they could use the fact that they've won two games straight to put up a fight?
Arsenal may have become complacent after their excellent start to the season therefore they could start thinking it will be an easy game and if that is the case it will be a mistake. Chelsea have now won their last two Premier League games therefore they are definitely improving. I did not read the interview by Desailly but I would agree Chelsea will win the game but it will be close.
1002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2023/2024 on: October 16, 2023, 02:18:59 PM
I'm going against your picks because Everton hasn't defeated Liverpool in a very long time, and the Everton I've seen this year will need a miracle to get away with a point. Brighton hasn't kept a clean sheet in their last four games and with a couple of their key players are injured, Manchester City will win comfortably and by a wide margin. Chelsea and Sheffield United will be easily defeated by Manchester United and Arsenal

Arsenal is currently a more complete team than Chelsea and hasn't Lost  to Chelsea since Arteta took over..
I think the race at the moment if far open therefore I have still got the same opinion, if they win I will not be surprised  Grin

You seem to just be picking the underdogs to win which while being attractive is a risky bet to make.
They just happen to be the underdogs on paper but in reality this season is throwing a lot of surprises. I do not know what the outcomes will be but after the games end it would be interesting to see how the Premier League table is affected with the results.
1003  Economy / Reputation / Re: 'John Abraham ≈ naim027' Coincidence or Connection? on: October 15, 2023, 04:12:28 PM
As it would not have been appropriate to post names of possible alt-accounts that are operated by naim027, we may have to keep them to ourselves but did any of you manage to make your own shortlists? I have three names on my list but none are conclusive.
1004  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Whirlwind.money | ⚡No Fee⚡ | Ultimate Privacy | Anonymity Mining 12% APR🔥 on: October 15, 2023, 03:44:23 PM
Perhaps they are in no rush to spend the Bitcoins, as they have more Bitcoins stacked somewhere? They would most likely get back to spending it once the dust has settled down.
I have seen that kind of behavior before, with scammers and hackers. They are definitely aware that the address is being closely watched.
I don't think so. They're running a mixer, they'll be very capable of hiding their trails. If they intended to pull an exit scam, they'd be very capable of doing so, and they'd make sure the servers stay online.
The manner in which the Whirlwind forum representative was posting here it seemed clear without any doubt he was knowledgable. It would be safe to conclude if they wanted an exit scam they had enough knowledge to get it down. Leaving $40,000 DAI in escrow does not sound like the work of scammers (though there is a possibility they could have thought ahead and made a loss of $40,000 as long as it brought in significantly more from mixing).

Maybe we will never know what happened therefore a wide range of theories will always be floating around but it does not seem as though it is or ever was intended to be an exit scam.

Since the developer seems to have enough experience, I think it would be good to try again. I just hope they answer how they can prevent a recurrence of what happened, especially since we live in a crazy world and something could happen if the whole project was based on one developer.

The only failure here is the idea of Anonymity Mining, as according to WWM statement, they did not obtain sufficient deposits, so until there is a clear answer on how to make this thing decentralized, it is better to stop.

anyway, since no one lost their money, I will change my negative trust to neutral once they come back and give answers as to why they suddenly disappeared.
It would be an interesting scenario if they did return and post with an explanation.

Something must have happened since then. They would have reached the forum as soon as they reached their destination. If this email conversation happened in August, then probably something bad must have happened to them.
Though opinions are subjective, that seems to be the most probable outcome as far as I can see.
1005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2023/2024 on: October 14, 2023, 10:30:35 PM
It has to be that way, after the game has ended it cannot be replayed but officials should be held to account for any errors they make especially if the result in problems from either team dropping crucial points.

The likelihood of getting a match replayed is an uncommon circumstance; in the majority of situations, the official is banned, fined, and an apology to the offected team.

These are the next set of games taking place in the Premier League on Saturday 21st October and I would not be surprised if Everton, Brighton, Chelsea and Sheffield United win their games against Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United:

Liverpool vs Everton
Bournemouth vs Wolverhampton Wanderers
Brentford vs Burnley
Manchester City vs Brighton and Hove Albion
Newcastle United vs Crystal Palace
Nottingham Forest vs Luton Town
Chelsea vs Arsenal
Sheffield United vs Manchester United

Though it may remain unanswered, the question arises as to why the 13 BTC is untouched for this length of time. If this was an all-out exit scam things would have been far more obvious but they have not moved any funds. If I had to choose between exit scam or them being unable to access their server, I would come to the conclusion they no longer are able to access their server.

What happened to them going silent is very strange.

Using a domain or forum to confirm this information will not give accurate results. The multi-signature address[1] is the most important. There is still 13.15851571 BTC$353,780 in that address.

There are several deposits, the last of which is on September 30, 2023 about 9 transactions.

1007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2023/2024 on: October 14, 2023, 07:41:23 PM
Both parties will never request it, and the winning team will never consent to a rematch, so it is up to the losing team to persuade the FA to allow one, even though the last incident occurred a long time ago and the FA does not want to set up a precedent whereby other teams will start asking for replays whenever a decision does not go their way.
The Arsenal vs Sheffield United game took place years ago but if gamesmanship was something important, I am sure games can be replayed. Personally, I am not in favour of Tottenham playing Liverpool again because that system is not going sustainable for long term across the Premier League. It would add to the fixture list congestion and it adds to creating more problems when teams want to complain about which decisions were correct and which were not.

However, there was a rematch between South Africa and Senegal last year after the referee received a lifetime suspension for awarding South Africa a winning penalty in extra time for a ghost handball incident.

The Senegalese FA took the Ref and the South Africa FA to CAS and the game was replayed
I did not know about this game but if a corrupt official has been exposed in a game already played, would it be necessary to play the game again?
1008  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: October 14, 2023, 04:23:10 PM
Hi all

Just posting a problem I am having with Bustabit.  Essentially they are not processing a 120K bit withdrawal for me as I cannot "authorize" it from my email as I accidently deleted the temp email.  This is the letter I sent these guys explaining, what's a reasonable amount of time to wait and will they pay me? To date NO response over a relatively minor amount of money
Is it possible for you to post the screenshot link here? If you are able to post it, you should edit the image to remove any private information.

The frustrating thing about this is that it's a simple fix by the site operators and .12 BTC is not a huge amount of money these days but still something I want to get fixed

Nothing from these guys, just dead silence
You stated there is dead silence but can you explain when you contacted devans? If you do not allow him appropriate time to respond you should be posting here to complain but because you have not elaborated we have no idea, you should at least explain yourself better when you post your complaint.
1009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2023/2024 on: October 14, 2023, 04:02:19 PM
The ref and VAR officials have been barred from refereeing Liverpool games this season, and VAR has already admitted that the call was incorrect. Klopp's request for a replay is ridiculous, and it doesn't sound fair to Tottenham. The fact that Kovasic committed the exact identical offence against Arsenal and received only a yellow card makes the red card for Gusto all the more puzzling.
Do you recall the Arsenal vs Sheffield United FA Cup game that was replayed after Arsenal players were involved in unsporting conduct? Both teams asked for the game to be replayed therefore the FA sanctioned it.

It is not impossible for the Tottenham vs Liverpool game to be replayed but both teams would have to ask for it. At the moment, Liverpool want it but Tottenham are not interested. Also, if it is replayed it will set a precedent for all VAR errors to result in all games being replayed and that is something they will never allow to happen.

All eyes will on VAR when the next Premier League games take place.
As long as the corrupt authorities remain in charge, nothing will change.  The best that any team can ever receive is an apology, plain and simple. We ought to push for a complete abandonment of technology and a return to older times.
Pushing for abandoning VAR and going back to zero technology will not be possible because a newer generation of fans is growing up with VAR, they have not known a time before VAR. Also, the technology has cost phenomenal amounts to get it to where it is today, they have interests in moving forward with more technology.
1010  Economy / Reputation / Re: 'John Abraham ≈ naim027' Coincidence or Connection? on: October 14, 2023, 02:33:20 PM
Well, I know that the StarBets account (BPIP) is also operated by naim027. Or at least it was for a period of time. But since there is no password change recorded in the logs, it is probably still under his control.

And we also know about the Cratoon account that was under his control (by his own admission, by both Naim027 and John Abraham).
Now that you mention it, I recall there was the matter of the Cratoon account and that was related to the Paradice (paradice.in) website. The case about naim027 and the StarBets account sounds familiar therefore I will try to find the thread to get a better understanding but there are probably many more names to add to the list.

Oh, he might. But I doubt he'll show his face around here again, especially after that little brain malfunction incident. Wink
I think he will have no problem showing his face when the accounts he manages are revealed, as theymos and the moderators have made it clear that they are not going to do anything to him for having ban evaded and I imagine that even if he gets a few red tags it will not affect his ability to earn from signature campaigns.
He will definitely keep showing up in various threads even if his new known alt-accounts receive negative tags. He has a history of doing it therefore why would he stop now when he is getting enrolled on avatar and signature campaigns and there is no fear on his part of being banned.
1011  Economy / Reputation / Re: 'John Abraham ≈ naim027' Coincidence or Connection? on: October 13, 2023, 10:37:25 PM
The mystery around Naim027 and his various identities keeps the forum lively and interesting.  I gotta admit, I'd be disappointed  if he just disappeared.  He may be many things, but you can't deny he's got grit and he doesnt back down easily.  It's pretty impressive how he bounces back and reinvents himself.

I look forward to seeing what he cooks up next. Happy sleuthing!
naim027 has been exposed as a compulsive liar and a chief manipulator that is why keeps reinventing himself. The true number of accounts he operates has not been discovered as he will keep registering them.

Also, he is being supported by at least one so-called prominent member (and that is part of the reason why he returns with alt-account after alt-account) but if the names that will be put forward are being operated by him, will any member here come to his defence?

He's done a much better job at hiding social media and crypto address connections this time around, but there's one thing he doesn't know about.
It will be disappointing if he used the same wallet, like that ChipMixer cheater you caught few years ago (can't remember his name).
It was figmentofmyass, it seems he had three accounts enrolled in the Chipmixer signature campaign (as well as some other accounts he was not monetising): Long-time sig campaign farm ID'd via single wallet transaction

You did not need to attach the screenshot because I did notice it, I was making a post at the time and was using the preview button at the time. From what is being posted by others, I think this is occurring far more regularly now than at any other time I have known before.

Well, i guess no one may have noticed but it happened again. I think if I hadn't taken this screenshot, no one would have believed me that bitcointalk was down for a sometime again a few minutes ago   Undecided
1013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2023/2024 on: October 13, 2023, 07:20:53 PM
The audio I heard in the source clip you posted was completely different in tone to whatever was going on between the Referee, VAR and his assistant in the Tottenham vs Liverpool game. In that game there was panic and confusion between the officials but in the Chelsea vs Aston Villa game at least they were calm. It still does not negate the fact that even though the reviewed decision was probably correct, it does look very bad in slow motion and still images being shown to the referee.

Say for example the game continued and Gusto did not receive a red, it would not have been the worst decision ever made in comparison with the disallowed Liverpool goal against Tottenham. If you mention the Arsenal vs Manchester City game, it will be another VAR talking point but thankfully that is another one I cannot recall.

All eyes will on VAR when the next Premier League games take place.

This is the source from where you can check the VAR records as well. The referee's watching the incident in slow motion changes the situation very much. I think that VAR shouldn't meddle in this kind of incidents. If I'm not mistaken it was Kovacic who didn't get a red card in the Arsenal-Manchester City match. In a league that he doesn't get a red card in that match Gusto's getting a red card here is unacceptable.
1014  Economy / Reputation / Re: 'John Abraham ≈ naim027' Coincidence or Connection? on: October 13, 2023, 06:48:40 PM
Fair enough, its probably not nice to just throw names around like that.

I spent quite a while putting it together and I'm pretty sure I know who they are, just putting in some finishing touches.
No doubt other members will get involved to inflame the situation, I think this will get very messy after you enlighten us with names. I am very confident the names you post will be wearing a signature or avatar run by the same campaign manager.

In any case, I don't know what practical repercussions it may have. My reconciled friend said that Naim027 works for him updating spreadsheets and the like, and also lately he has been hiring people with a few red tags, so if you now reveal those two accounts and a few DTs we leave them half a dozen red tags maybe that will have no practical consequence. I mean maybe it won't affect the money he is earning on the forum. However, we should not neglect our duty, which is to red tag those accounts.

You haven't looked very hard, then. I have picked up pages of his post history randomly and I do see posts written in Greek. On page 51, or this one from May 2013, at the beginning of his post history. And I haven't looked very hard, so I'm sure there are many, many more.
Ah, that serves me right for posting well past my usual sleep time  Grin

Is this a joke or what? Are we going to ask for KYC now to prove ownership of bitcointalk accounts? Face calls? If he severed his relationship with the OP for some reason, maybe he suddenly doesn't feel like talking to him for the same reason he stopped talking to him.
No we do not need to ask anybody for KYC to prove their identity and if he has severed his relationship with the OP and decides to not provide an explanation that is for him. What concerned me after reading the OP was recalling an account not that long ago seemed to have been traded and signing a message to demonstrate ownership was part of the deal.

Let us not forget, he signed a message from a known address, that means if the account was sold/purchased the known address was part of the deal just as many sales include nowadays.
How do you know this? As far as I know signing a message has always been considered the strongest way to prove ownership of a bitcointalk account
I do not know, that is why I stated "if". The part I should have worded differently was the "all available evidence" part.

Nobody should ever have to "commit to ID verification" here, that's creepy.
Yes it is but in this instance I think the OP was stating he was concerned by he was being avoided with someone he was on those types of terms with. And with that along with the return after inactivity no doubt made the OP concerned.

He has mentioned "Greece" dozens of times in his posting history:
I have no idea how I missed it. I should have been in bed by that time, I hold my hand up because I got that one wrong. I was wrongly under the impression he was from the same country as the OP.

Additionally, threatening people with negative tags if they don't respond to your inquiry - as you have done with your neutral trust - is not cool. Nobody should have to provide anybody with additional information about themselves. Its on you as an investigator to find the information yourself. In this instance, it was quite easy to do.
I am sending him a PM to apologise. As mentioned above by someone else, of he no longer wishes to interact with the OP that is a decision for him. He has signed a message from a known address therefore he does not need to do anything else.
1016  Economy / Reputation / Re: I believe this account is handled by someone else on: October 13, 2023, 02:21:42 AM
Well, in the past three days alani123 has made three posts in the Greek local board: Ninjastic

I have had a look at his post history and can find zero posts in local boards over the years yet here he is posting again after a gap of absence but has not committed himself to ID verification with you even though you and the original owner of the account were on video call terms.

If the account was hacked he should not be in position to use it. If it was sold/purchased, he still should not be able to use it therefore negative tags would suffice. The only way around avoiding negative feedback would be for the current operator of the alani123 account to prove to you he operates it therefore I will place a neutral tag. If he cannot verify his identity to you within 48 hours I will replace it with a negative tag.

Let us not forget, he signed a message from a known address, that means if the account was sold/purchased the known address was part of the deal just as many sales include nowadays. In an attempt to further deceive, the current operator could (by virtue of offering more money) ask the original owner to make that video call to claim he is still operating the account. We do not know what he will say but he should be allowed some time to reply.

I have sent a PM advising him to post here:

Hello alani123,

I hope you are well.

Thank you for posting in the thread irfan_pak10 created I believe this account is handled by someone else to question whether your account was still in the control of the person that created it. Also, thank you for signing a message from a known address.

All available evidence suggests the account has been either sold or hacked and for that reason I should leave a negative tag, however, I left a temporary neutral tag which will be removed either after you make the video call with irfan_pak10 and he confirms your identity or it will be replaced with a negative tag if you do not post in the thread with a believable explanation within the next couple of days.

Wishing you a good day. Thank you.

Kind Regards

I had a good connection with user alani123 back in 2018-2019 when he disappeared from all the online channels. I tried him everywhere even his WhatsApp but could get any response till now. He was offline from bitcointalk too, Now few days ago I see activity from this account and again tried all the channels but not getting a response. That's why I'm believing the account owner has been changed.

Το θέμα είναι πως τόσο καιρό μετά από όλο αυτό το δράμα, ουσιαστικά ανενόχλητοι κάποιοι έκαναν push το upgrade στο software του bitcoin που δίνει την δυνατότητα για συναλλαγές που υποστηρίζουν τα Ordinal και το BRC-20 να είναι πλέον έγκυρες on-chain. Αυτό που απορώ εγώ είναι το ΠΩΣ; Πώς κατάφερε να περάσει κάτι τέτοιο απ' την κοινότητα του bitcoin;

1017  Economy / Reputation / Re: Murat Scammed 62k Metropoly token on: October 13, 2023, 01:44:13 AM
Yes, exactly! This means that Murat changed the topic title sometime between December 24, 2022, and May 11, 2023, but definitely after he said the campaign was over on December 24.

And this is what he posted to his followers in the Tokensfund.io TG group last year:

https://t.me/Tokensfund_io/21447
He should consider making a comment because of that revision to explain why he chose to change the title between those dates.

The image you posted explains his future plans about escrowing funds but he did not explain (in a post) the specific reason for not doing it with Metropoly and why he stated the funds were escrowed but later removed it

If he enticed bounty participants with a misleading promise about escrowed funds, it implies that he deceived them and shares some responsibility for them not getting paid for their efforts. An even bigger problem is that he had some tokens available in escrow, but for some reason, he chose not to distribute them to the bounty participants. Those tokens are currently worthless, but as Rikafip pointed out, at some point, they were valued at tens of thousands of dollars, which is not an insignificant sum.
This all points to deception but the onus is on him to explain for his perspective what happened. There should be transparency on his part then it will be down to others to assess. Maybe he will provide a rational explanation but he should address the issue in full.
1018  Economy / Reputation / Re: Murat Scammed 62k Metropoly token on: October 12, 2023, 11:08:12 PM
I do not have an issue with what you have stated, I broadly agree with your comments. What I fail to understand is why there was no plan but the bounty manager to cover unforeseen circumstances (such as high transaction fees and/or loss of token value) because the participants would rightly expect to receive what they signed up for.

Well, we can't make this excuse that since there were all newbies in that campiagn , doing the spamming, therefore they should not be paid the token or paid less than what was promised to them earlier. Also, this excuse may not work that most of the newbies might be alts of each other and hence do not deserve the tokens.

The right way to treat them was to exclude those whom they think are the alts of each other and never let them participate in the campiagn. If it was difficult to detect the alts, they should have made a rule of not accpeting the newbies in the campiagns at the start.  Similiary if the posts done were spamming, why not excluded those particiapnts initially from the campiaign.

Get all the social meida activities and promotions and then making these spamming / alts excues, is just not right and shows the project does not want to pay for work.

I slept for the entire time. completely unaware of it until I read this thread.

best possible way to deal with down time just sleep right through it.
Some of us maybe would have slept through it but we are not all in the same time zones. I had no idea about the outage but I have noted from reading threads in meta, it seems to be happening a little more regularly than we would have expected.

Theymos just forgot to pay the bills this month. Better make sure to remind him to set some reminders.

1020  Economy / Reputation / Re: Murat Scammed 62k Metropoly token on: October 12, 2023, 08:20:13 PM
And yeah, I wish bounty hunters would all vanish immediately and all at once.  I find it hard to feel true pity when they don't get paid for their spamming.  On the other hand, what's fair is fair no matter my feelings toward their line of 'work'.  If Murat was supposed to pay them, then that's what he ought to do.
That thread is mostly filled with newbies applying to join the bounty campaign. It would a complete guess in trying to work out how many were farmed accounts but you stated an important aspect: the bounty manager should have paid in time he participants expected to receive.

If the fees to send bounties made it a loss making transaction then he really should have thought of some alternative to present to participants or better still he should have let them know from before they signed up what he would do to compensate them if the fees became too much while their bounties were too small to make it a viable payment.
