1001  Economy / Reputation / Re: aTriz account has most likely changed hands on: July 01, 2018, 02:39:14 PM
I did notice the post quality change of aTriz a few days ago here and then almost forgot about it.
For those implying that aTriz account was bought, he had several trades with people in the collectibles section and I believe they sent everything to Sydney, Australia where the original owner is from(?). Although,a lot of people found it weird that, aTriz came out of nowhere and started managing high paying campaigns, and he got a solid start. Until, the alia con attempt which blew up more on aTriz than it did on alia. And then comes the bitblisscoin screw up.
I am pretty sure that aTriz won't get himself into campaigns bounties that would fetch him 3$ per week, especially when he was part of chipmixer. Any conspiracy theories on what happened to aTriz? He did claim to be in the hospital for 2 weeks.
Wasn't aTriz also doxxed?
1002  Other / Meta / Re: Moving "Reputation" board from "Trading Discussion" to "Meta" on: July 01, 2018, 01:52:46 PM
Reputation and Scam Accusations are related to the trust systems here, and trust is based on trades. Maybe that's why.

However, I don't think trading discussion was initially meant for stupid threads like How to take the risk in trading?  or threads like How you make profit? but rather for this:
Quote
Discussion about doing business with Bitcoin. Best trading practices, delivery methods etc.

This is NOT a segwit address. Your application would get rejected if you provide a non-segwit address.
1004  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Drying Up? on: June 30, 2018, 03:15:45 PM
Merit rewarding is drying up yes. I am also seeing people going back to the pre-merit era, where they don't care about their post quality, since people have figured out that, good posts don't get merit, whilst, the high quality posts only do. By good posts, I mean, if  a person has a good point via discussions, or if they help answer a query. The posts that do get merited are, if they are long, but yet constructive,or if a post is written with some humor. The normal discussions don't meet the merit standards and hence spam is spreading more and not less.

I am trying to find good posts that have been recently made but it is not easy to find a good posts. When the merit system was implemented, people started putting so much effort in posts and now they have stopped. There are some tweaks that need to be made in the merit rewarding and merit sources should begin with that.
1005  Economy / Reputation / Re: Be aware of Forum scammer as a Moderator on: June 30, 2018, 12:05:10 AM
I actually PMed actmyname to ask him to remove his tag on Wapinter for something from the past and then tag him for hiring shills for his ICOs.
Do note that Wapinter has been paying people for bumping ANN threads: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4566587.0
Digaran are you connected/related to this joniboini ? Be honest.  Wink
1006  Economy / Reputation / Re: The Pharmacist is tagging shitposters with negative trust! on: June 29, 2018, 11:57:32 PM
Is it OK to tag people based on the quality of their posts? I want to know this.
theymos has said no, and that is why merit system was created. Default Trust system is for tagging spammers.
Stop creating a thread for literally everything and learn to read.

1007  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: [NEWS] Blockchain.info has now moved to blockchain.com on: June 29, 2018, 11:46:56 PM
It will be funny if they have time to implement SegWit but can't solve the most basic fees structuring/private keys/ user-interface errors. I know SegWit holds the value but there are other things which should be prioritised.
This. They should make changes in their wallets first. Its been years now that people have been complaining about it. People won't care about segwit when most of them don't know what it is.
- The site still looks the same to me? I wish the had an offline version which would be open-sourced including features for signing transactions etc.
I think they tweaked the colors a little(?). I could be totally wrong, as I said, I don't like blockchain.info blockchain.com.
1008  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My First Week (Newbie) Experience on: June 29, 2018, 11:35:08 PM
That is not the end of it  Cry
After contacting the bounty managers to replace my ETH address because I gave away my private key, I noticed that my bitcointalk profile url is different also among the others.

I'm personally upset that your first week has been filled with scam-related experience.

There's a lot of good that can come from cryptocurrency. There's a lot of good that DOES come from cryptocurrency. But the freedom that cryptocurrency brings also opens the door for scam artists - a free system must accept the balance of good and bad motives.

I hope that you will carry forward to things...

(1) That bounty campaigns are either scams or terrible ways to make money - just avoid them, and

(2) That cryptocurrency has much, much more to offer.

Give us another week or two to see the good that it can bring!
I confused for a BadBear for a minute.  Sad
Seriously. People should stop advertising bitcointalk as a "moneymaking" site.
They never will. People get money[1] for advertising bitcointalk as a moneymaking site. Because it is now more of a moneymaking site than a forum to discuss about bitcoin.
I am glad that OP learnt from his mistakes and did the right thing. I would link you one thread, that will link them all. Wink

We have somemore here:

Re: what "bitcoin is dead" means?

A lot of time I read people writing "bitcoin is dead".  But what this senteces really means?
when bitcoin can be considered dead?

i will be considered dead, if no one buys it anymore and there is no further hope for speculative income. That will be very soon.

Re: Is bitcoin lead cryptocurrency market forever?

certainly  but the only crypto currency i believe can lead bitcoin in future will be the one created legally and supported government

Re: Facebook removes/Unbans Bitcoin & Cryptocurrency Ads

Yeah right I have heard and see for myself this news, I think this is good news, because Bitcoin has allowed back Bitcoin Ads and Cryptocurrency on Facebook. may Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency grow over time, and the value will be higher.

These are just random pics I found in bitcoin discussion. There are much worse cases than this... But I am not going to waste my time all for nothing.
1010  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinexchange.io is Scammer ( POPLE HELP ME ) on: June 29, 2018, 11:09:53 PM
Yesterday Website Coinexchange.io  Show rank 1 in BTC & ETH TRADES.
That is because it is only listed on coinexchange.io
Have a look: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/futurexe/#markets

Can you post screenshots on what exactly happened? Did they disable your trades or withdrawals or both?

Contact their support: https://coinexchangeio.freshdesk.com/support/solutions
1011  Other / Meta / Re: Publishes the same messages on the forum. Need DTs Action on: June 29, 2018, 10:57:38 PM
This is against the rules. DT members should not have anything to do with it. DT members are here for tagging scammers or whom they strongly believe to be a scammer. Digaran, you can lose your shit now.

The person in question should at least be temp banned(?) or should be fended off with a warning? Report him and his alt(in digaran's post) to the mods and they shall take care of it.
1012  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: [NEWS] Blockchain.info has now moved to blockchain.com on: June 29, 2018, 10:49:00 PM
The site looks better than the previous one, there aren't much changes but it is alright. I still am not going to use it, I want to see if their bugs still exist or not. I have always wanted to use blockchain, but stayed away from it because of the major concerns.

Thanks for the heads-up, Potato Chips.
1013  Other / Meta / Re: Forum Mentions: @ or # on: June 29, 2018, 10:07:41 PM
I really don't know if this topic has been treated before, well if they were... I shouldn't have had a hard time of getting a feedback from #merit for example.

I observed how this forum is becoming a colossal entity. However, there are no mentions where people could be called to actions or when someone refers to your post (explanations or criticisms).

It would be nice if the admins could work something of the sort to make it more 'social' while maintaining the educative and explorative nature of BTT.

@username could be cool to know someone drew your attention to something within a thread - an answer, an opinion... etc.

#name/ID can be used to track discussions about a particular topic, occurrence or trends within the bitcointalk community and also related to external affairs.

Yeah... Yeah... I know it's not an ingenious idea, just thought it would save the stress of going over tens of threads looking for a reply to something said; can't really watch every post made.
I would like to get a notification if someone mentions my name if someone uses my name anywhere on the forum. But the '#' part is a big no go. Please don't try to make more changes to this forum. The new forum is still being designed(atleast I hope that something is happening) and new additions to this would only slow things down. If not, then I only see millions of dollars being wasted on nothing.
1014  Other / Meta / Re: A volunteer available. on: June 29, 2018, 09:53:42 PM
As much as i want to report all those spammers, it would also be a good opportunity to experience being an assosciate. Not only i would learn more about crypto, but also how a forum works (probably codes and such).
I don't know what you have heard from other places but even if theymos hires you, he won't teach you how the forum works, you'd be given a few more perks than the normal users, which you'd use to help the forum in clearing the trash. You are definitely not going to learn how to code, if you're by any chance "hired". theymos takes care of all the coding part and for the new forum, Slickage is doing the work still(?).
Meanwhile, you can learn about bitcoin and the forum, so you'll be ready to do something more complex for the forum sooner or later. Noone will become an admin in a few weeks/months time, I guess...
Make that a century. You can't even become a moderator/staff in a few weeks/months/years. There are my alts users who have more than 36,000 reports and they are not a staff.
1015  Economy / Exchanges / Re: YOBIT steals my Marijuaha ((( on: June 29, 2018, 09:42:00 PM
I've found that yobit steals more than 50% my CANN coins.

Blokchain explorer shows that wallet deposits more that 65000 CANN
Actual balance - 57,263 CANN
Withdrawals: 8.491 CANN (but i didn't any withdrawal)

Yobit system shows
Balance:
21.500 CANN with no withdrawals or exchange.

There is no answer from their support Sad
So i think YOBIT steal my coins.

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/cann/address.dws?CVP8z7qy5A5LbbuqQD7C46FN1jAyfrNCve
You sure it is not a bug or something? Since how many days are your coins missing? Before you open a scam accusation(not that it is going to help you in any way, people will still use it, they don't care), just wait and see if the coins re-appear.

But looking at the scam accusations above, nothing is working in your way. Contact them at twitter: https://twitter.com/yobitexchange?lang=en
Yobit's bitcointalk profile was last active 4 months ago, contacting them there would also prove out to be useless. Their ANN thread is also locked.

Either yobit will solve your issue or they won't respond at all. It may take weeks or months to get your issue solved. So goodluck with that.
1016  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature Anti-Spam Campaign Managers on: June 29, 2018, 02:35:11 PM
Yeah I currently run four campaigns, FortuneJack and Bitcore included.

I've started work on my ANN thread and it'll be ready soonTM.
Great. Shoot me a PM once it's up and running.
Good thread thanks for your effort you really spend some time in creating this  thread with brief history of bounty managers well done.
Did you rank this managers or it is in random order?
The managers are listed alphabetically name wise.
1017  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature Anti-Spam Campaign Managers on: June 29, 2018, 12:29:24 AM
I have one Question: "Past Work", should this not be "Current" or something rather than Past? As the ones listed for me are campaigns I am currently managing. Not that big of a deal but I do like correct wording  Cheesy
Yes, I realize that. I'll change it. I believe both the campaigns(Fortune Jack and Bitcore) are current campaigns? So should I remove both?
Managers, a friendly reminder, please create an ANN thread and give a brief explanation about yourself. It would help you and me, so that the table could be properly aligned. Smiley
1018  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature Anti-Spam Campaign Managers on: June 28, 2018, 11:58:55 PM
Okay, my bad.
really expect positive public criticism of the manager's work. Some of them are very unprofessional to behave and act like they are untouchable.
If you think that there are managers who have such done behavior, that are in the list, feel free to PM me about it with rock solid proof, if I see anyone having such behavior, I'll most likely remove them, but it depends on the case.
1019  Other / Meta / Re: Admins, help me! Account has been canceled. I used a secret phrase on: June 28, 2018, 10:43:44 PM
I read this topic. I wrote a message to the admin theymos in the PM. But I did not send anyone the address of my bitcoin purse. Therefore the form is filled incorrectly. I remember the password and I know my email.
Why did they block me? I just wanted to improve security my account security
Do you mean that you filled up the signed message with your email? lol. Well, chances of you ever getting your account back is 1 in a trillion. Read this:
I very rarely recover accounts if you can't prove ownership as described above. There are alternative ways of proving ownership, but they take too much time. If I point you to this thread, you can't prove ownership properly, and then I ignore your future PMs, this means that I'm not going to recover your account. Create a new one.
1020  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain,info isn't sending autorizations emails. on: June 28, 2018, 10:10:29 PM
For the past 4 days i'm not able to login to my account because of not receiving autorization emails, also  already sended 3 support tickets and im not receiving any answer, i'm starting to get really nervous what u guys think i can do?
Another reason for people on why they shouldn't use blockchain.info . I hear more complaints than good things about it, in the ratio of 99:1. The support will answer your tickets in like 2-4 weeks. That is the standard response rate from any online crypto-services.

I don't know if this would help or not, but maybe contact them on other places:

Twitter: https://twitter.com/askblockchain?lang=en

The bitcointalk account of blockchain.info owner is inactive for 3 years, so that's a dead end.
