1001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao Might Fight Golovkin on: June 05, 2020, 09:36:11 PM

Manny Pacquiao likes to fight with a boxer who will face him straight and also aggressive like him. This is a very good match since Golovkin is also someone who likes to stand up in front of a fighter and not run around like Floyd. Both of them had proven their skills already. The problem is that there is Covid. It might just be for the PPV. I'm gonna be betting for Pacquiao win or loss.
1002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A cryptocurrency promoting your enrichment, soon available on: June 05, 2020, 09:24:40 PM

Which cryptocurrency is that andre?  We've seen enough of the cryptocurrency and most of them that sprouted since last 2019 are scams so what are you offering this time that is different this time?

If you want us to hurry so that people will be enriched before the recessions that you are saying right now will strike, you be hurry and tell us here in the forum. We have no time for that facebook.

LOL.

Here from the beginning. Arguably the biggest supporter of this project.

Have just been banned from the Telegram and Discord, simply for raising concerns of a missing CEO (chris) and community manager (Krushang). Looks like they are banning anyone who is raising concerns.

I'm more sad more than anything. I tried to help this project. Did my best. I'm out, this thing is officially done.

Peace

So you sold yours already?  Hard to believe it while most will hold tight the coins they hold for a very long time while the bulls keep up.
You have been praising the team you whole life here in bitcointalk and then suddenly you snap like you wanna bag more. Price still is 0.000036 anyone can afford to buy at that price, its discounted.

Have you confused me for someone else? My last post here about stratis was December 21, 2017...

I sold 95% of my stack in 2017, 2018 and 2019 due to growing concerns on the project. I have zero intention of buying this back as I feel like the project has, frankly, failed at becoming a contender in the smart contract platform race. Also it's clear they are switching focusing on DLT which provides zero value to the STRAT token. I feel sorry for those who forked out $$ for a master node.

Take this from someone who has been involved from the beginning - I would highly suggest people tread carefully and do their DD if thinking about investing in this.

When you are out, you are out!  If I decide to go out of an investment because its a waste, I never go visit the thread anymore like I wanna hear more of the team because after all its the top coins that matters.

Stratis is a shitcoin. I can't remember if I was here back 2016 but I believe this is the first time I was here in this thread because I saw the price still is low.
But I saw you and your previous post here in the thread and have lived like this is the only thread in bitcointalk.

1004  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever got it wrong? on: June 04, 2020, 05:44:15 AM
The fact is there is no way to escape from bad results in this life if you are aiming for life changing results, failing sometimes means winning, if you haven't fail it will be hard to move 2 steps forward, God who allowed the good and the bad knows perfectly why humans need both in their lives.. You Are Not Alone

Nothing can be changed anymore when its all done but you get to have another chance still.

I have some pondering too after I realize I have lost a lot. And If I just decide to withdraw instead and cash it out, I wouldn't have regretted the ones I hurry to buy in the early days of the crypto winter. Anyway, things changed and I have learned to trade well despite the less capital.

I have come to a conclusion that we might need to reflect on the past at times to set the future right. What brought about this conclusion?
I have had so many negative experiences in some things in life which cryptocurrency is inclusive.
Here is the importance of evaluation.
Regretting the mistakes made will not have any effect without evaluation. This evaluation aims to determine a more appropriate strategy, this is the learning process. Eventually we will know that this requires a process. There is no instant profit without having a basic knowledge, except luck.
The evaluation will bring a new lesson to them so they can have more experience. They will have the opportunity to improve what they need. The mistakes will always be there because we all are human which making more and more mistake, but we have the chance to evaluate the mistake, so we can get the point to understand that we can prevent from making another mistake in the future. We don't have to regret the mistake, but we need to learn from the mistake so that can make us be wise in the future.

That's the best thing with a mistake, we get to learn and that I hope it wouldn't hit us the second time.

Just a wannabe? It might just come true one day as long as you have it and waited til the prices goes up, you would have a good amount of money to spend in the future.

5. Stratis
6. Holochain
7. Komodo

I have always liked the three but I have more of Stratis and Komodo to keep. Not trading them but just to keep them. We know its hard to trade with altcoins so the best thing to do is stil to trade BTC and USDT. But for altcoins, its for keeps til the price goes up.
1007  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: so what to do with USDT ?! on: May 31, 2020, 07:33:04 PM
Coinbase supports USDT.

No it does not.

Coinbase custody have just announced you can deposit and withdraw ERC20 based USDT, but it's only for institutions and there's no mention of exchanging it for anything else.

Coinbase does USDC and DAI.

That sucks. Its a good thing though that there is https://www.binance.com/en/trade/USDC_USDT  I guess this still is an option and then send USDC to coinbase. Price doesn't have much difference unless he gets to have a hundred thousands that need to be sent.
1008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: so what to do with USDT ?! on: May 31, 2020, 07:14:36 PM

He can send his tether to coinbase and exchange it to usd going to his bank. Coinbase supports USDT.

I'm not sure if binance offers a gateway going to a US bank account but the fact that they have USDT, this should mean they have. I haven't been into that situation where I hold USDT waiting to withdraw, for the most part, we exchange this to BTC or ETH to withdraw.
1009  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung partnered with Gemini on: May 31, 2020, 06:51:29 PM
This would be very helpful for newcomers, we still don't have an easy solution how to buy cryptocurrencies, now when they have pre-installed app in their phone, it will be very easy to buy their first Bitcoins.
You can't generalized that will be very helpful for the newcomers as it will be only available for Samsung flagship phone. That means another brand can't do the same as what did by Samsung and gemini.
It will very help full to attract the new adopters from the Samsung users.

Its a race to compete all other exchanges to gain clients, not a race of cryptocurrency adoption. Not everyone is really comfortable in trading while on mobile phones ance certainly not using Samsung phones as well. Binance chose brave browser for its also a popular browser these days.

But for someone who is concern more about privacy and comfort. I think Samsung picked the wrong partner here. Ift might surprise us all if you wait awhile who will partner up with Huawei.

There are so many Samsung phones sold around the world at least a small percentage of that is going to be influenced to use this new wallet or trading that is developed by Samsung. This is a great move by Gemini having a partnership with a giant smartphone company as the development continues this could be popular because cashless transactions are also becoming a big trend around the world. In my opinion. it was not really a bad picked by Samsung Gemini is not really a bad exchange at all and might have potential. Considering Huawei a lot of people are already off in the brand since there are conflicts with google it could still be a great wallet if develop in a Huawei phone.

Maybe so. Samsung is gathering partners of different businesses such as a network TRON and then an exchange like Gemini. It's not an exchange that most of us here in the forum are using actually but they care to partner up.  Any phone that has the capability to install wallets can be used for cashless transactions though, its where we are going for sure so good for Samsung.  Huawei seem not partnering yet with blockchain companies but Chinese has its own Huawei Store and this Huawei Store can even be installed on a Samsung phone, that big advantage.

1011  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Check your eth wallet address for some token valuation on: May 30, 2020, 06:12:13 PM
Etherscan is the most used I guess.
By pasting your Ethereum addresses there you will see if your bounty tokens have made a value. It won't waste time much if you'll check and hope that someday it will have a dollar value and that's what OP is conveying with his message. But if you have lost hope and you don't think that there's still something to wait for those bounty tokens, just leave it and move on.
Been checking my altcoins in here back then and yes they show it in USD so that people know how much does the token cost.
Was checking my AION tokens when I joined their bounty back in 2017.
But now I don't have that many altcoins because I believe that many lost their value or dried up already.
Yet you still saw the value of your aions in USD. Did you start selling it when you have learned that it's already have an equivalent in USD? Most bounty hunters I think do practice checking through any of those explorers with the hope that someday their tokens will have value.
It won't hurt to check it from day to day but if there's no help and you think that it's just a waste of time, you can give up and move on.

I keep checking my wallet address now and then to check whether a new coin has popped in. Checking my wallet address on etherscan gets me discouraged seeing the value. Some coins that I have, their token price reads about 0.00008 and you're having up-to 20,000 token.
If it's disappointing you, it's time to stop checking it.

That's what I did too. I just forget them all and keep playing and stick to the real job I have on the job site. This at least will not give me stress but its also encouraging when you see one of your token's price is rising.  This could be unexpected but sure it's a good indication that the market could turn  differently this 2020 because some teams have updated how much they'd achieved since the time they went silent.

1012  Economy / Economics / Re: If Recession Kicks In, How Will Bitcoin Perform? on: May 30, 2020, 05:48:24 PM
I think there has a less possibility to happen another deep recession in 2020. It is right, world economy is walking in cripple because of locking down its leg. But now most of the countries are loosing its tight from the economy and economy is going to recover its own speed. So, crypto market will not face any recession and will continue to keep its full speed like now.
^ Probably, but either bitcoin will get through or die it is still on our hand how will bitcoin survive if another great recession will kicks in for it may die if people won't be able to maintain their internet because of unemployment or probably the rise on the internet cost. However, if bitcoin will maintain its decentralized value then people may adopt bitcoin globally and it will suffice the needs on the market exchange. In conclusion, no one may presume on the future of bitcoin after a recession but with all the advantages that bitcoin has shown and proved us, I am positive that it will, probably not as fast as what everybody is expecting it may be in a slower phase yet bitcoin will still pull through.

Our government is starting to shift to general quarantine to which businesses are starting to open to operate. There could be a chance that we may save the economy from crashing if all will be fine.  But if the recession persists, we will be seeing more dumps to crypto because everyone will really be chasing the fiat they can spend. I wouldn't be risking keeping my coins as well while I have to buy stuff to survive.
1013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Extra weeks added to bounty campaign on: May 29, 2020, 07:48:16 PM
An extended bounty is not a problem, as long as the allocation is added surely the participants do not mind. But sometimes there are also bounties who don't want to add allocations and always extend the duration, which is what the bounty participants don't like.
some people do not like extending the bounty period, but some people don't mind this as long as the reward is added. but, it will be very good when they pay a reward every week, so it doesn't matter if they want to extend the bounty period. unfortunately, sometimes they increase the bounty period by a few months, then the rewards are not added, sometimes it makes some people lose faith in a project.

Not only that. You as a bounty hunter will have the time to consolidate to have more tokens allocated for your stakes. The most important of all though is that if the project is legit. You can only complain if the project is actually a scam. Its not however fun for everyone though.

For someone who expects to move to another campaign will only conflict with his situation especially if the rules say you will not get any stakes if you remove the signature and avatar before the campaign ends.
1014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safest trading strategy on: May 29, 2020, 07:29:05 PM
I invest in the long term and I prefer to save BTC and ETH, because both coins are the mother of all coins, even though we set aside some of our money for USDT, USDC, DAI is still at risk of falling prices at any time because in the crypto world there are not 100% coins Secure.
Yes, nothing is safe because when there is a big dumping then it is very possible that any coins in this market will fall too but indeed, the strategy is very good to implement because every coin has advantages and disadvantages of each and we should be aware of this. so that we can also take advantage of the moments that occur to generate profits in accordance with the skills we have.

The coins are secure its the value that isn't secure. Its always going to be dumped no matter how confident we may be to tell everyone that BTC or ETH will survive no matter what economic situation is and even if this pandemic gets worse. The fiat will always be that important for anyone since it can be used in the physical transactions.
1015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung partnered with Gemini on: May 29, 2020, 06:38:48 PM

Congrats to Gemini. It's one way to make the exchange well known to potential crypto users since Samsung phones are known to have built-in wallets especially the S20.
Of all exchanges though why not Polo because after Samsung already started adopting TRON of Sun and he owns Polo as well?   Seem a waste partnership for TRON and Samsung that it should have been Polo's place.
1016  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is gambling another good use case for coin to have more demand? on: May 28, 2020, 11:21:45 PM
Can gambling use case help a project to have good value in future? I was following a project called blockstamp and after they introduce their online casino platform in 2019 the coin surge over 1$ from 0.12$ I think, is gambling another way to make a coin demanding? Do you gamble online? E g casinos?

Probably so. There are project that purposely create a casino just to make their coin have some usage. Doge use to be just a coin until its accepted to some  dice sites and gradually the number of casinos accepting it tanked. And because its fast we tend to use it more, now the trading volume is enormous already that is too huge to fail. Surging up to $1 from 12 cents is one proof that casinos help.
1017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safest trading strategy on: May 28, 2020, 09:04:44 PM
There's no safe nor Safest trading strategy. We should all be aware that a trade can go wrong even with a professional trader. We should apply risk management and stop loss. Our focus should be to safeguard our capital and make profits. Another instance is having a trading strategy to remove greed or chasing the market. If trade is not within our strategy we better let it go for another trade.

OP's strategy is actually the safest unless there is a long bear market like what we experience since the early 2018, thats the only way it will not make profit but at least if he had send his coins to stablecoin, he could still save the value of his coins and wait again for a long time. The kind of strategy was used long before we had those leverage trading in crypto.
1018  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you believe that bitcoin will have a stable price in the future? on: May 28, 2020, 08:56:24 PM

Do you think investors will like it if BTC price will be stable?

I'd like to think it would be stable but the reason why we invest to BTC is because we know the price spikes and dumps which also allows us to make money. If its going to be stable then we will stable to use it as hedge like the USDT. We will all start to use whichever coin is decentralize and spikes best GRIN perhaps?
1019  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Funds stcuk at Bitfinex- need to withdraw BTC on: May 27, 2020, 06:19:09 PM
Hi,
In your view, what should i do?

Ask Bitfinex to allow you to withdraw after all its the reason why they emailed you.

I didn't remember Bitfinex asking KYC documents to me actually which is why up to this point I didn't submit information to them since 2017. I didn't use them since then. I guess they do have a minimum amount that I can withdraw without filling p the KYC.
1020  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you cope with missing easy money making opportunity? on: May 25, 2020, 07:18:10 PM
Ok, so yesterday a coin I was holding, pumped.

The project and team sounds legit but since there was no product live, and from several past experiences I figured this rise is gonna be short lived.

It was true. But, I didn't sell (analysis paralysis), lost the opportunity. Feels like shit.

Life feels like a constant roller coaster of replacing one regret with another.

Greed kicked in. It happens to the best of us.

Sounds like you're bagholding and missed a chance to get out on the exit pump? When waiting for an opportunity like that, I prefer to have shitcoins deposited and already in orders on the ask side. No hesitation. I held too many bags through 2014 and 2015 to make those kinds of mistakes again. Depending on altcoin market conditions, it can take months or even years for another chance. Not sure what kind of capitalization you're talking about, but some small coins will even get de-listed while you're waiting. Lips sealed

The markets are in a very interesting place. If BTC breaks above $10.5K it could trigger a big crypto bull market. Then you'll have plenty of altcoin opportunities.

I didn't want to exit, and the coin is still at a good price. All I wanted to do was sell at yesterday's peak so I could buy back today at lower price, increasing my holdings.

That means you wanna accumulate. Thats a good way to make money but you may wanna see to it that you have a right coin instead not an altcoin which doesn't fluctuate everyday. If accumulation is what you want, then perhaps you need to switch to BTC/USDT instead. Accumulate BTC not altcoin.
