1001  Economy / Goods / Re: Looking for something [small] to include with my orders to customers. on: May 01, 2013, 11:37:24 PM

- offline Credit voucher... (Offline, because it is a cold gesture... you expect them to actually loose it, but "remember" that they got it. lol, like most gift-cards others sell.)

Your post had a lot of good suggestions but this one had me puzzled. Don't you have to pay for it whether they use it or not?
I imagine he meant something like (on a piece of paper) "10% off Your Next Order! Use This Code: xxx"

Thank you guys for all the suggestions. I had an idea, though. I bought some cheap scratch-off stickers on eBay. The customer will scratch off either something like "20% off your order" or even a QR code redeemable for x amount of bitcoins. Sound good?
1002  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] NGC Certified El Cazador Shipwreck(1783) 2 Reales Coin [Rare Denomination] on: May 01, 2013, 11:18:40 PM
Price reduction! A pre-BitMit bump!
1003  Economy / Goods / Re: Casascius Coin Hardshell Cases - Protect Your Investment on: April 30, 2013, 07:54:30 PM
Just received mine in the mail and they look great.  None of them were cracked.  Thanks again!
Great, I think I have the packaging down now. Glad you got them in good shape. Thanks for the order and the post!
1004  Economy / Goods / Re: Looking for something [small] to include with my orders to customers. on: April 30, 2013, 07:52:29 PM
Where can you get 2 GB keychain USB drives for $1 in bulk?
Interested also. Thank you guys for the suggestions. I was thinking something bitcoin-related, though. Like a sticker (but a sticker is kind of typical). Any ideas considering that?
1005  Economy / Goods / Re: wts one 5btc casascius coin on: April 30, 2013, 07:50:38 PM
I can also vouch for notserp...he bought physical coin cases from me Transaction was smooth and pleasant. And I doubt he'd buy coin cases if he didn't have anything to put in them!
1006  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] - Pepper Spray, Silver, & More on: April 30, 2013, 07:48:55 PM
I sold (still sell) pepper spray! Unfortunately you'll find little interest in the states. I offered to send internationally and got some bites. Not trying to hijack your post...I will respect OP's "territory" and not sell to anyone in the states. If anyone internationally is interested, let me know. I have different varieties available (pen, lipstick tube, regular spray bottle).
1007  Economy / Goods / [WTB] iPad/iPad Mini (WiFi Only) I Have Series 2 & 3 Casascius 1 BTC Coins! on: April 30, 2013, 07:41:47 PM
Hi,
I am interested in acquiring an iPad Mini, preferably, or a regular iPad. I want the WiFi-only version. I really want a brand new one, in box, never opened. Although, if you have one that is very lightly used and still in immaculate condition I will consider it. Also, I want a keyboard to go with it-so if you have a new iPad and accessories lying around (gift maybe), turn it into something valuable! I have Series 2 and Series 3, 1 BTC Casascius coins. I also have a lot of silver and gold. And of course, regular bitcoins and cash. I won't post a price range on here considering all the possibilities there are of making a deal w/the aforementioned. Please PM me if you have one and are interested.
Thanks!
1008  Economy / Goods / Re: Casascius Coin Hardshell Cases - Protect Your Investment on: April 30, 2013, 07:43:21 AM

1009  Economy / Goods / Looking for something [small] to include with my orders to customers. on: April 30, 2013, 07:06:45 AM

1010  Economy / Goods / [WTS] NGC Certified El Cazador Shipwreck(1783) 2 Reales Coin [Rare Denomination] on: April 30, 2013, 03:32:39 AM
Hi everybody,
Up for sale I have a 2 Reales, NGC Certified Shipwreck coin. Although 8 Reales coins (pieces of Cool are higher priced, there were actually less smaller denomination coins recovered from the wreck. As you do your due-diligence, DO NOT consider this eBay listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nice-1783-Two-2-Reales-El-Cazador-Shipwreck-Silver-Coin-NGC-COA-Collector-Gift-/261142786544?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item3ccd52b1f0
That is a stock photo that they are using. I ordered a coin from that exact listing and it was GARBAGE. You could not make out any digits of the date, the text was almost impossible to read and the pillars and crown/coat of arms on the back of the coin were virtually non-existent. Thank god they had a return policy. I initiated the return the same day I received the coin, very disappointed.
But, I won a listing for another 2 Reales coin (one that was NOT a stock photo) and have been quite happy with it. The digits of the date are readable, and the obverse side of the coin is in immaculate condition-that was the selling point for me. I'll let you decide what you think from these pictures. Also, below is the story of "El Cazador-The Ship That Changed the World". I am asking which includes shipping anywhere in the US, and is less than I paid for the coin. If you are international and interested in the coin, PM me and we can work something out.
Thanks!

The El Cazador (meaning The Hunter in English) was a Spanish brig that sank in the Gulf of Mexico in 1784. On October 20, 1783 it was sent by Charles III of Spain on a mission to bring much-needed hard currency to the Spanish colony of Louisiana. The ship sailed to Veracruz, Mexico, where it was loaded with approximately 450,000 Spanish reales.[1] King Carlos III enlisted his most trusted captain, Gabriel de Campos y Pineda, to captain the ship.[2] On January 11, 1784, it sailed for New Orleans, and was never heard from again.[3][4] Spain’s attempts to locate the ship were unsuccessful and in June 1784, El Cazador was officially listed as missing at sea.[2]

Then, on August 2, 1993, the trawler Mistake, while fishing in the Gulf of Mexico fifty miles south of New Orleans, hung its net on a snag. The trawler was captained by Jerry Murphy and its home port was Pascagoula, Mississippi. When the crew hoisted the net and dumped the contents on the deck, they found the net was filled with silver coins. The coins bore markings from the Spanish mint in Mexico, along with the date 1783.[5][6]

1012  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] 90% Junk Silver for BTC on: April 29, 2013, 10:40:30 PM
He didn't say "90% silver, junk coins"... He said 90% junk silver...

Coin silver is still junk, as the blunt name it has "earned", implies.

Value of a dime is $1.7682663719 is the total melt value for the 1946-1964 silver dime on April 29, 2013.
http://www.coinflation.com/coins/1946-1964-Silver-Roosevelt-Dime-Value.html

If it is not a counterfeit... Most being sold are aluminum and steel or mixes useless metals. All fail a simple magnet-slide test, and sonic-depth test, and acid test. If you "were in the know", you would also be aware of that. And thus, most people provide credentials. China has flooded the markets with fake silver "tokens", in the last three years. A futile attempt for them to regain the losses they have from overselling "paper silver". Ebay alone is about 80% fake silver listings. The only ones not being pulled are ones listing it as "tokens", or "plated", or "artistic representation of", or some other listing with "hidden fine print", to hide the fact that the "implied" content is not actually there.

"Tokens", value as an item is $0.001 per "dime". (Counterfeit coins are "tokens".)

Again, I don't see anything on the listing provided, or reputation of the seller, or anything, that would encourage anyone to make a purchase.
Well I bet you a 90% Silver quarter that he was referring to 90% junk silver US coins-maybe because he MENTIONED 90% silver coins in his post. I would LOVE to see where you pull the 80% figure from, too. And last time I checked $1.76 is more than 10 cents. If I was in the know? LOL I can just see you on your end feverishly looking for data to back up your ridiculous first post. Also, 90% junk silver (even if its not in coins) is worth....90% junk silver. Silver is more expensive than aluminum, if you didn't know. Greyhawk-you're just embarrassing yourself by being on the same thread as this guy.

Not verified, no rankings, not even actual photos of "your product"... Are you just reselling others actual products as if you own them?

Junk silver is just that, junk... No-one will give you anything more than the price of aluminum for it, until it has been smelted and had its contents confirmed to determine the actual silver content within. You are admitting they are 90% junk, so they are worth less than 2% the weight of silver. (Would take more to melt them down, and process them, than they are worth, in silver.) You offering some publication, of tested material, since you "claim" they are 90% junk, or are you just guessing they are 90% junk? Or did you just copy that off of another person's webpage, so you could make a sale, and seem like you actually know the content-level?

You do realize that silver (coins), are a future-sale, which won't be worth the price of silver-content within, for well over 20 years. (Unless silver triples early.)

What "proof", since you don't have "credentials", are you offering as "trust" for these transactions? Are you allowing the use of an escrow service, or offering some additional "personally identifiable, and prosecutable, information" beyond the posted sale-page?

Sorry, I didn't read your whole post-just to the part where you said silver coins are worth nothing, that they're just like a piece of aluminum. You are DEAD wrong. You therefore do not know WHAT you are talking about. So why is it your duty to confirm this guy's credentials and put him on blast before he has a chance to prove himself?

P.S. If YOU were a member of the forum for a long enough time, odds are you would know that pre-65 US coinage is "junk" 90% Silver. It is an extremely popular form of bullion because purity does not have to be confirmed, it facilitates smaller transactions, etc. Oh, and check this out

1016  Other / Beginners & Help / Question about Physical Wallets on: April 29, 2013, 03:47:22 AM
So this is a prety n00b question, and I'm pretty sure I already know the answer, but I figured why not ask anyway? Regarding physical wallets, is there ANY way to redeem only a portion of your coins? Like, say my paper wallet had 5 BTC in it. Is there any way I could redeem only 3 and keep 2 on there, or would I need to just generate a new keypair to do that?
1017  Other / Off-topic / Re: Did You Know... on: April 29, 2013, 01:35:34 AM
No offense taken, I do the same thing. Of course I know about locking threads...but I never do unless its something in the marketplace thats sold. What do you mean about ""stealing" topics?
1018  Economy / Goods / Re: I want to provide this opportunity to the forum-no BS; operating at slight loss on: April 28, 2013, 11:14:55 PM
you don't have to send one to me, but i think this is a great idea.

for some reason people react much better to bitcoin when i show them a casa coin or similar.

also think people will show more interest if they come preloaded, but there are obvious security concerns.

thanks walker :3
I'd be happy to send one to you since you seem like the only one who  understands what I'm doing with them lol
1019  Economy / Goods / Re: I want to provide this opportunity to the forum-no BS; operating at slight loss on: April 28, 2013, 11:12:38 PM
So do the bit cents look like Hong Kong cent bills? i'm confused
I took all the world bills from my collection that aren't really worth anything. Still, some of them are really old and cool (my favorite is a British Military Payment one). The pictures of all the bills are there. I just used the Hong Kong bill as an example. There are tons of Philippines from the time of Japanese occupation that say "Centavos", and other bills with just numbers or denominations of money that we (I) don't know/understand. Thats where you have to get creative. I just thought using actual world bills would be cool/a change from using specifically bitcoin bils. It'd make a good conversation piece/gift/whatever.

And thank you, you're welcome!

Not even a bite? I'll give first 2 people who reply to this post a bill of their choice and all the materials needed, and free USdomestic*shipping. Hopefully that will stir this up a bit (no pun intended).

*sorry, these samples must be domestic (US). There definitely is a significant difference in terms of postage between domesitc and International Shipping.
