1021  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Are they safe for us? and we should enjoy them? on: August 29, 2023, 12:10:40 PM
There are many such things. how reliable are they and is it right to take these services? Because of low rate?
Generally, from time to time, businesses discount. It's not a new thing. I've had the opportune moments to latch into this price slash in time past. I must confess that I always get skeptical whenever I'm buying at a discount, though. I don't rush to pick up and pay whenever I see a discount. I want to scrutinize whatever it's so as to find out if there's a reason the seller is offering a discount. I want to make sure it's the same product I'm buying, and not that it's exchanged, expired, bad, fake or stolen somewhere and sold cheaply. Once I find any of that, I'm off the deal.
1022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: presuring someone into Bitcoin investment on: August 28, 2023, 07:03:18 PM
First off, it's your moniker for me 😏

she thought I'was going to defraud her.because she never hard about Bitcoin investment before. because of that, she was afraid and rejected the idea because of the pressure I was giving to her to invest on Bitcoin.
Why would anyone's parent(s) think of them in that light? Could it be that you must've shown signs of such attitude in the past or indulged it that cast a shadow of doubt on your person? Again you mounted unnecessary pressure on your mother. If anyone mounted pressure on me to invest in anything I would be very skeptical about it and would likely lose any form of interest in it.

there was a lesson I lean from here. when you are preaching to someone about Bitcoin, you shouldn't talk too much, and you shouldn't stay long and you should also allow them make some research and ask questions about what we are preaching to them, to avoid loss at the end.

I don't know, how you see it.
That's true. That lesson cuts across all faucets of investments, not just Bitcoin. The easiest way to prove a point is to be successful at what we do. People want results. Otherwise one will keep explaining and appealing to their emotions without them picking interest in what one is advertising to them.

OP, responding in a roll on a thread contradicts a part of the rules here. You may want to merge your two last posts or allow another user post in between the two posts before you respond. Secondly, you double inserted "[/quote]" and that made your comments to be included in the posts of others you quoted. You can edit your reply to separate that.
1024  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if there is no crypto bull run for next 10 years ? on: August 28, 2023, 03:46:33 PM
What if there is no crypto bull run for next 10 years ? Will you give up all your investments and get out of crypto because of this ? Or do you you have even more broader horizon and can wait longer to see the next bull run ?
The absence of a Bitcoin bull run will kill every excitement in the crypto industry. I've seen how excited the market becomes whenever price spikes. There's often so much noise at gatherings and on social media, characteristic of this moment. Notably, that's the opposite of the calm and hush tone we witness during bear rally.

However, that's not to say that if there's no bull rally the industry will collapse. That's far from the truth. If the market is ranging or in deep decline, traders will be happier for it but investors will be the ultimate losers. Those who trade Futures will take a position to short the hell out of Bitcoin if that happens.

My previous account couldn’t make posts so I don’t see how it was possible that I could have been using it for bounty hunting.
Welcome to the forum 🫂. That's me giving you a cyber hug. Don't take what user Cookdata said the wrong way. I believe they didn't mean you any harm. Just make sure you go through the link they supplied you and get familiar with the rules here. By the way, what do you mean by your previous account not being able to make posts. What happened. Do you mind sharing with the community? Perhaps there could be a way out and you get back to that account.
1026  Other / Meta / Re: Icopress ' Merit Source Application on: August 28, 2023, 02:15:45 PM
It's even very interesting that icopress isn't a Merit source yet.
Honestly, I thought the user was a merit source long time ago until now I realized he wasn't. He will make a good choice, no doubt. I support his desire and application with a carton of Heineken and a pot of hot spicy chicken peppery soup. Good luck, Icopress.
1027  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is there still hope for the price of BTC to hit back $69k this year? on: August 28, 2023, 01:38:21 PM
I will be shocked (pleasantly though) if Bitcoin ever gets anywhere close to $50k this year, let alone to its present ATH of $68k+. It's a tall dream if we expect that to ever happen this 2023. We can dream of such price level in 2024 and that will be even after halving. My prediction for the next ATH is in 2025 and that will see price above $120k to $150k, expectedly. I just hope it doesn't disappoint after halving anyway like what some cryptos do. They just drop value.
1028  Economy / Economics / Re: No choice but to use the unavoidable middle man, the exchange companies. on: August 28, 2023, 11:19:40 AM
Big exchanges like Binance, are cashing in on being the middle man in businesses, an unavoidable indirect business associates, in your face, waiting for you to go through them.
This isn't even the real middlemen we should be worried about. As for what happens in the general exchange of cryptos for cryptos, we can see that as buying from the house. The exchange charges commission to give us that service. The real issue is the exchange of cryptos for fiat using the P2P feature, even on Binance. Despite the fact that merchants are verified and their details held by exchanges, you still get the greedy ones among them trying to scam those they're transacting with. A few days ago, while transacting with one on a reputable exchange who claimed he had sent payment and that I should release coin. But that was a lie. He didn't send any cash. I confronted the thief and he immediately cancelled the trade. Without middlemen in P2P, scam will kill the industry. I could've been scammed by that buyer if there weren't any middlemen (who held my coin) and I wasn't extremely careful too.

~snipped~
For example there are some P2P local groups were with or without the third party escrow service, some parties still transact successfully without distrust which is the original bitcoin decentralized system.
I understand the scenario you painted there but that can be very risky too. To get to that point of trust, one must've done series of transaction with the other to enthrone such trust. Nobody should rush into trusting anyone by assurances of mouth. Let action prove its deeds.
1029  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Save in Stable Coin Or Save in Local Currency? on: August 28, 2023, 08:02:31 AM
Do you think it's better to save in stable coin like usdt or I should just keep the money in the bank?
As things are right now (in today's reality) saving in Bitcoin, stablecoin or Domiciliary (dollar/pounds) are better options. With the level of inflation hitting us, here I talk as your compatriot, our local currency is taking a severe beating against foreign currencies. Keeping it in the local currency means devaluing it so to say. It loses value daily. Again, the banks have a kind of inexplicable kleptomania where pilfering of customers funds on sundry charges seems to be a second nature to them now. If kept in the local currency, one has banks and scammers to contend with, coupled with its losing value. Domiciliary isn't faced with all that. Scammers and banks steer clear of it. Bitcoin is on a steady rise as we're getting prep for a bull rally. So, the hedl Bitcoin is most likely to appreciate.

This is often the problem with newbies creating topics, most of them run off after opening them. If they were online, they would've seen that blunder and corrected same immediately. Since opening this thread, OP hasn't come back to read and assimilate what's said here. They disappeared online barely four minutes after making that post. Perhaps they've missed their way here or they merely posted for the sake of it for what it's.
1031  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop loss on: August 27, 2023, 05:42:53 PM
I had some scenarios of my stop loss being pushed down a little bit incurring  me more loss what could be the possibilities.
What do you think, that market makers will allow you win easily? Nah, not that easy. The big players know how to hunt SLs because they know where retail traders expectedly place their SLs and they want to sweep off those liquidity in corrective manner before heading to the same direction price was headed earlier. I said they know where most retailers place their SL because they look at Support & Resistance and wipe them off. That's what happened to you. To avoid such a scenario, what most traders do is wait for a break of the Support or Resistance level to place their trades and not place them exactly at that spot. Wait for a break and then place your trade.
1032  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Scalping on: August 27, 2023, 05:06:17 AM
With the little knowledge I have, I have seen a lot of people scalping and making it than those that does a full trading(hours, days) but they tend to lose  so easily can we say it greediness or it's not advisable generally
Full time trading is when you're completely dependant on your trades to earn a living, to put food on your table. It doesn't matter if you do that by scalping or by day trading or swinging. There are pro-traders who earn by just scalping the market and there are those who place trades and forget them for days to hit TP. Choosing any of the methods will depend on the trader's temperament. It's not just always being before a screen or pressing mobile phones that makes one a trader. It's the ability to make profit from it more than incurring losses.
1033  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HOW DO YOU MAKE MONEY WITH LESS MONEY? on: August 26, 2023, 06:16:59 PM
Having limited funds doesn't mean you're at a disadvantage compared to those with more money. Someone with $200 - $500 to invest in BTC or ETH might be wondering when they'll see results.
You seem to have easily forgotten that the more money you invest into a project, the greater the chances are that you will make bigger profit if things turn out well than those with little investment. Therefore, I disagree with you on that.

Dropping $2 billion into ETH, and two years later, getting a 5x return, could lead to a "lucky" 10 billion. Meanwhile, someone with $2,000 investing in ETH, seeing it 5x, would also end up with 10 billion...
This is a joke of an explanation. Do you mind explaining it further? Perhaps I could be the slow one with understanding here.

Farming Airdrops:
Rolling rewards are also quite smooth. Focus on L2 Ethereum solutions.
Airdrops are just like a raffle draw. No one should depend on them to earn a living. Most times, the projects promising to airdrop don't even release the airdrops at the end.
1034  Economy / Economics / Re: Which problem will you choose to solve? on: August 26, 2023, 03:55:22 PM
Whether rich or poor, a problem is a problem because the affected person doesn't know how or have a way out of it. I know we're dealing with a hypothetical situation here. However, if I were to make an intervention; I would look at the problems both are bringing to me and not their social status. This calls for a dispassionate approach. No doubt, looking at it from the prism of sentiment one is likely tempted to favour the poor. And rightly so too because the rich can always sought themselves out with their colleagues but the poor aren't lucky to have that kind of option. Putting the issue on a scale, devoid of prejudice, is the way I will go.
1035  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to smell fraud in projects and detect Ponzi schemes from far as a Newbie on: August 26, 2023, 03:02:40 PM
High APR and APY:
No one needs to research on any project to know it's a ponzi once those two items are involved. I may not have the dexterity of perusing team members and the inscribed wordings in the White Paper to check if they're plagiarized or not, but once I find unrealistic yield plan I conclude it's a scam waiting to happen. I haven't been wrong on this. The few places I saw such, they all ended in scamming people. Most people who got scammed this way knew what they were getting into beforehand. It's greed that makes people want to risk it with the aim of cashing out before the scheme collapses.

2)LTC/Doge mine and hodl
How convenient is it mining those ones? Can they be mined on mobile phones?
1036  Other / Meta / Re: Request for unbanned my account. on: August 26, 2023, 01:41:17 PM
Out of 15 lines of posts, only two lines of posts are being accused of plagiarism, even if the allegations are proved to be true, I would request everyone to give me one more chance. Since I didn't copy the entire post only the last two lines I made my own with the idea so hopefully I'll get a chance.
Even if it were just a line of posts that was picked from someone else's posts or article without properly being referenced, the forum sees such act as theft and deceit. It's frowned at here and the punishment is often grave. I don't know what informed your decision to add those extra two lines to your post when you already had a lengthy post. Post constructiveness doesn't lie in its verbosity or how lengthy it's but in its ability to respond to issues and provide solutions or quality responses to them. I do hope you will mend your ways if you eventually come out of this mess. Good luck to your appeal.
1037  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin at this Price limit its Global Adoption? on: August 26, 2023, 08:53:52 AM
Here's a concern I have, do you think the predicted increases in Bitcoin's price to $100,000, $200,000, $500,000, etc. will limit its global adoption? Since the price will be so high, the average person might not be able to afford a substantial amount of it.
There are eight bits after the whole number separated by a decimal point. It means that people can always buy in bits if they can't afford a whole Bitcoin. We mustn't all buy one Bitcoin to ensure we own it. Little buys here and there is the encouragement Bitcoin needs to forge ahead and get to the goal of mass adoption.

To your other question, nope. I don't believe the monumental price increase of Bitcoin will discourage anyone from buying or investing in it. We've to recollect that at some point Bitcoin traded for less than $1. If it didn't discourage anyone investing when it got to over $10, $100, $1k, $10k, I don't see why it should when it gets to $100k.
1038  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic Crash may take bitcoin to 1M dollar on: August 25, 2023, 08:40:39 PM
No doubt, BRICS (that group is even having more interested countries come join the original five) will pose a big challenge to the American economy because of its attempt to move away from the dollar. Nonetheless, I think the $1 million prediction by Mr Kiyosaki is an open ended one. If there's no mentioned date to a prediction, it's a wild goose chase. It's like a priest pointing in his congregation and saying he saw someone dying without putting a name or face to the prophecy. It's a mere guess work and should be taken lightly for it's as porous as a watery pap.

I agree that Bitcoin will have a great run going forward but I don't imagine it getting to half a million even in its next two ATHs which will be this incoming one expected in 2025 and the one after it in 2029. Kiyosaki should put a timeline to his prediction next time.

1040  Economy / Economics / Re: Any business where today you launch, tomorrow you begin making profit...? on: August 25, 2023, 06:17:12 PM
So the business should be: today I officially launch it, the next day, profit start rolling in
This is really a skewed way of looking at business modules (or to a greater extent, life in general). If it were that easy, there won't be poor people anywhere on the face of the globe. For every business to thrive, there should a sowing period which expectedly will take some months and then the harvest season. It's even a law of nature that we don't plant today and begin to reap immediately. So, why should business or investment be any different? If you keep this mindset, you will be easy prey for ponzi schemes.
