1042  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 32nd Binance Launchpad Project Arkham on: July 17, 2023, 06:31:45 PM
I've read feedback from some participants that they blocked a few BNBs and receive $1.5 worth of new project tokens. Questionable business. Deposit about $1000 on a centralized exchange to be able to get new tokens worth $1-$2.
Its a launchpad system. You could not expect a $1000 worth of new tokens with your $1k equivalent since there are many participants and it will weigh base on each snapshot holding. The total token has limit so they will based it on total bnb committed. Imagine 50million tokens would be shared and redistributed to dozen of users. I know it might not valuable to some but for those huge bnb holder they are clearly gonna have profits from this. So have you join your 5bnb? Its commit time now. Later after that youll know how many tokens you can buy.

Different launchpads provide different conditions. On some launchpads I can have nothing on deposit at all, but I will be given the opportunity to buy new tokens for 1000$. IEO launchpads have very unfavorable conditions for making profit, because they distribute tokens to all participants, only those who have a lot of money can earn good money, and users with a small deposit on such launchpads have nothing to do. The only advantage of such platforms is that after listing they have 100% TGE.
1043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between pi and bitcoin on: July 17, 2023, 05:57:13 PM
These points highlight some fundamental differences between Bitcoin and Pi. It's worth noting that Pi is still an emerging project, and its features and characteristics may evolve as it progresses. It's advisable to conduct thorough research and exercise caution when considering any cryptocurrency investment.

These are not fundamental differences, they are all flaws in the project at this point in time. I don't see the point at all in comparing bitcoin, which can show some result, and this project, which has nothing. All the advantages of PI are only on paper for now or they are planned for some foreseeable future.

No centralized project will ever be able to overtake bitcoin or compete with it somehow.
1044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A check on your wallet on daily basis can earn you some dollar on: July 17, 2023, 05:24:38 PM
This token has done 3883217% in some days without me observing at all. Even though this was a rug pull but let assume it real that is how I'm going to miss out the great opportunity.

It has only grown "on paper". In reality, no one will ever be able to make such a profit. The whole point is that such projects, without demand, can become very expensive in an instant. When they rise in price, it does not mean that the project will have a lot of buyers at the expense of which you can fix this profit. As soon as you try to sell even a fraction of it, the rate will plummet just as fast, as there will be much more supply than demand in the market. Never pay attention to such bursts of profitability, it's all a bubble, air created to make you pay attention to this coin and buy it.

1046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SIGNS THAT A CRYPTO PROJECT IS A SCAM on: July 17, 2023, 04:38:25 PM
4. No clear use case: A legitimate crypto project should have a clear use case for its token. If a project cannot articulate a clear purpose for its token, or its use case seems vague or broad, it may be a scam.
Before investing in any crypto project, investors should do their research and look for these red flags. By being vigilant, investors can protect themselves from scams and make informed investment decisions.

What was the clear use case for SHIB or PEPE, for example? When these projects were yielding hundreds of thousands of percent returns, he was not present. You can apply this question of utilization to the other projects as well. A lot of projects have no product, they are just clones of well-known projects that were created just for speculation. They can live for years and they are not scams. Only a small number of cryptocurrencies have a real use case for their token in the ecosystem. The rest don't have one, but that doesn't make them scams. Just like the projects that had this utility could also be scams, like FTT or LUNA.
1047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This time for meme coin? on: July 17, 2023, 04:06:58 PM
How tired of these garbage, horrible, useless, memcoins that only create problems and inconvenience for ordinary crypto users by increasing commissions in the main networks. All these memcoins are one big scam, which is designed to quickly enrich their creators. This is long overdue to be realized. 99% of crypto users will surely lose money on these memcoins. Maybe they will be lucky the first time they buy a memcoin, but the second time they will definitely lose their money. Memcoins are akin to gambling.
1048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How would you measure your success in Crypto currency on: July 17, 2023, 03:38:49 PM
I’ve done really well in cryptocurrency but a lot of that success is just luck that I was early & had the conviction to invest enough to take life changing money. What I would say to anybody new in the game though is that you are always only one coin or investment away from really making it. Don’t be afraid to take a few calculated stabs in the dark because you can make big money in alts.

All earnings in cryptocurrency are based one way or another on buying something before everyone else and selling it before everyone else, but not so early that you don't have to bite your elbows because of lost profits. This is why big capitals very rarely buy coins at market value, they try to buy these coins either during the venture investment period or buy coins at the bottom of the market, when most of the participants sell. Hence the conclusion, if you are buying at a time when everyone else is buying, you are doing something wrong.
1049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are altcoins important? on: July 17, 2023, 03:12:46 PM
What attracts people to altcoins is their generosity when it comes to spending their time in exchange for tokens or investing $100 and getting $10,000 in profit. In this respect, altcoins are much better than bitcoin and that's why they attract a huge number of users. In cryptocurrency people, in the main, come for earnings. It is quite difficult to make money with bitcoin, it is slow and expensive in terms of growth potential. Altcoins are more flexible in this respect and are more suitable for all kinds of speculation and quick enrichment.
I do not think that it would be common to make that type of profit, and it is rare for anyone to get that type of return as well. Not only we have very few tokens that go up like that, we also have very few people that get in at the bottom and get out at the top like that as well.

So all in all the reason is not that because people make that type of profit differently, and it is not going to be easy neither, we are not going to end up with a terrible situation, it's going to end up a bit different. Of course this is going to end up with a bit of trouble but at the end of the day you could still do that and I believe that's what people like in this situation, they like that there is a potential of making that kind of return.

I agree with you that a very small percentage of investors can make a profit of $10,000 with a deposit of only $100. But it is worth considering that it is impossible to get such profit in bitcoin, unless you are engaged in trading or margin trading. You can get such profit in altcoin sector by participating in various activities, such as retrodrops or testnet. The chance is minimal, but it is there.
1050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: How to choose varieties for investing in altcoins? on: July 17, 2023, 03:09:27 PM
I recommend using CryptoSlate.

I didn't find any section on this service that notifies about upcoming ICOs. Can you tell me where you saw such a section on CryptoSlate? For investors, there are much more valuable resources that provide much more information about projects and how investing in altcoins works. The cryptorank service is an excellent resource about ICOs.
1051  Other / Archival / Re: Опрос!
Sad

1052  Local / Обменники / Re: Metrochange – безопасный обменник ваших криптовалюm on: July 17, 2023, 09:51:31 AM
1053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is there a digital currency with higher security? on: July 16, 2023, 07:05:32 PM
Very simple. See investment rounds, who is the baker, a major investor in the project, where the project's token sale is held, which exchanges the project is traded on, its tokenomics, the roadmap, the developers' portfolio, and much more.

This is the best way to screen new projects if you really want to invest. If you want to play roulette, then just invest at random, in everything you see first Wink
Investment rounds? Where is it located at? I only remember games and rounds and investor-based games here in the forum. Looking at who is investing in the project is not enough. We might see a big investor but we shouldn't be happy and do the same thing because it might only be a whale or a part of the projects team whose goal is to manipulate the value of the coin.

Good thing, you gave other factors and we should also check them to have a better judgment of the project. Your response here seems the one the OP is looking for but I think its title is a little different. At first I thought he is looking for those privacy-based coins like Monero.

You can see investment rounds and information about their implementation on special services that track such venture investments. Let's just say that the presence of investment rounds can guarantee that the project is not a complete scam and that it does not collect money from its investors and then disappear without a trace. This is what projects that do not have seed rounds aimed at attracting investment for project development do. Of course, this is not a 100% guarantee that your investment will be exactly in the payback zone, but it is a great signal that the choice of project is moving in the right direction and the risks are not so high.
1054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How quick do altcoins pump in bull run? on: July 16, 2023, 06:24:12 PM
Well, this is where the big difference is when investing in BTC. no need to wait long. if investing in Alcoin increases in turns and not all at once. Yes, as you said above, it also requires a deadline, like for example ETH goes up first then BNB goes up, Then SOL or Matic and ADA. That's what I noticed a year or two ago. this is real my experience.

Very often it happens that those investments that quickly bring you income, also quickly and go into a loss. Not all investors have time to fix the suddenly appeared profit and they continue to hold the coin in the hope that it will grow even more. At this time, the peak of growth occurs and the project goes far below the price that most investors entered, even below the price of the token sale.
1055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Young people should take more advantage of the crypto space. on: July 16, 2023, 05:30:04 PM
I wouldn't speak for all cryptocurrencies because most cryptocurrencies don't have the functions of a means of payment and decentralization. Most cryptocurrencies are centralized and only have speculative features to play on exchanges.

In order to utilize cryptocurrencies effectively, crypto users need to view cryptocurrencies in terms of their utilitarian properties rather than their speculative capabilities. Right now, the vast majority of crypto users are only interested in the cryptocurrencies themselves for the price and nothing else. With this approach, it is too early to talk about a revolution and mass adoption.
1056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Durning bull market we will received many good bounty? on: July 16, 2023, 05:01:55 PM
Remember to exercise caution and thoroughly research any bounty programs before participating. It's essential to verify the legitimacy of the project and understand the requirements, rewards, and terms associated with the bounty campaign.

Who can remember at least a few successful bounty programs, over the past 3 years, which would have brought a good income to bounty participants and were justified in terms of time spent on these campaigns? I haven't heard of any such campaigns in a long time. The best examples remained somewhere in 2016-2018, when these bounties were really relevant and brought generous payouts to their participants. Nowadays, in most cases, it's just a waste of time. Although I can't speak for everyone, perhaps for someone income of $20 for 1 month of work in the bounty will be considered a generous payout.
1057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Digital Currency Security Requires Breakthrough Technology on: July 16, 2023, 04:26:43 PM
The mistake people are making is that there is likely going to be a lasting solution to all these security issues which I doubt, what people fail to recognize is that anything that is hackable will be hacked it is just a matter of time, another thing is the human factor, most of these hacks are as a result of social engineering and not true hacking in its actual sense, if you are not security conscious you will be hacked, bank accounts are being hacked every day because people willing release their information to hackers online, even if it is offline, virus can slip into your laptop and phones and upload your information once you are online. Education is the best solution to this, people should be educated on what to do and not to do online, especially with their wallets

In my opinion, because of the newness of the technology and a lot of myths about tmo how easy it is to make money with cryptocurrencies, many people make trivial mistakes and lose their money. The crypto industry is a unique place, here people first invest their money in something, then start learning something. It seems like it should be strictly the other way around. When people lose money in bitcoin, they start blaming bitcoin itself, not themselves. When people lose money in some service because they do not understand how it works, they shout that this service is a scam.
1058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Projeto imobiliario que aceita Altcoins. on: July 16, 2023, 04:01:32 PM
I Want to Trade My House for Some Bitcoins - An Innovative Idea or Unnecessary Risk?

It's about as stupid an idea as you can get. The Internet is full of stories of disappointment of investors who do this. Understanding people try to cash out the profits from digital currencies into the real sector, so they diversify their assets, buy some real estate, etc. Non-understanding people, on the contrary, try to convert real objects into digital assets, which is a risky investment.

Buying a house by selling bitcoin is a smart decision.
Buying bitcoin by selling a house is an absolutely foolish venture.

Only invest in cryptocurrencies that you are willing to lose.
1059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 32nd Binance Launchpad Project Arkham on: July 16, 2023, 02:53:30 PM
Who participated in the last token sale on Binance, can you tell me if it is possible to count on a good allocation with 5 BNB?
Any amount would count, but 5bnb maybe not so much since theres a lot of participants. This launchpad favors huge holder of bnb.  But even though any amount would do good since surely the token would be worth 5x to 10x or more valuation when it got launch.

It's understandable that any amount will make a difference in the distribution. As far as I understand, the system is not lottery based, but based on distributing tokens to all pool members after a snapshot is taken. They will then distribute the tokens according to the weight of your locked BNBs. I've read feedback from some participants that they blocked a few BNBs and receive $1.5 worth of new project tokens. Questionable business. Deposit about $1000 on a centralized exchange to be able to get new tokens worth $1-$2.
1060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hiya new here your thoughts on ETN please on: July 16, 2023, 02:47:06 PM
If this blockchain is not backed by some large capital, there is no point in this new blockchain, nor in new token standards. In the market, the advantage of projects is far from the cost of transaction fees. If that were crucial, blockchains like ETH or TRON would have been forgotten a long time ago because their fees are quite high. This is not the case because these blockchains hold a large layer of the crypto ecosystem. The new token standard itself is of no interest to anyone without proper embedding in the ecosystem. Even if it supports commissions worth $0.00000000001$.

My take on this through research is the ico bagged 40 million dollars in bitcoin and ethereum yes? Bitcoin at the time was worth 4500 dollars it then peaked at 60000 a coin now at 30000 so unless they cashed it all which I highly doubt they have a HUGE  budget.....I tell you something is going to happen here I just feel it....

During this time, the project has no development. It looks more like the developers just collected this amount of investment and distributed it into their pockets rather than investing it in the development of the project and providing the token. How long do you need for the project to fully launch after the money has been raised? 5 years? Maybe 10 or 20 years? Those times were very wild and such projects appeared like mushrooms after rain. All of them were created just for raising money and personal enrichment.
