1061  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for July on: July 06, 2023, 12:46:01 PM
Just got online and the first thing I checked was BTC's price...  And wow...  I mean who the fk dumped the corn big time and just as when everything started to look good.

I mean wtf.  It doesn't make any sense.  :/  Wouldn't it be a lot better if the guy who dumped just followed the trend and bought going up than going against the flow?  Where does he expect BTC to go?  Back to 25k support..?  Meh.

Anyway, stay safe out there guys.

^  Oh?  I won one of those a couple of months or so ago when they tweeted that they were gonna have a spaces session with Phil Galfond.  And I just mentioned that he's one of the most based, honest, good guys in the poker community and one of the players that the great Tom Dwan would never play heads up against cos Galfond is so good at the poker table...

A couple of hours later I got a message that I won a hundred bucks.  Didn't expect it.  So cool of them.

...  Days later I tried winning some again, replying in most of their tweets but nada.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
1063  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for July on: July 05, 2023, 01:09:27 PM
After around three attempts of breaking out of 31k, each ended up being a fake out.  Sad  This isn't a good sign imho as it looks like momentum is slowing down.  And if we lose 30k, a round number which means it's somewhat a psychological support, it's possible BTC drops back to around 28k - 28.5k range and who knows how long it stays in there.

And what would suck is if 30k becomes the new resistance...  Again, a round number.  :/  There's something about them that affects people psychologically.

What do you guys think of either Russel or Hamilton finishing in the podium.  It's their home race so they're prolly gonna be extra motivated for this one.  Odds for them are 4.25 and 2.00 respectively.  Both lines are kinda juiced but what can you do...

Another nice line I like is car to set the fastest lap at 6.00 for Mercedes.

Anyway, here's the time table for the race.

2023 F1 British GP Schedule
09 JUL  Race  15:00
08 JUL  Qualifying  15:00 - 16:00
08 JUL  Practice 3  11:30 - 12:30
07 JUL  Practice 2  16:00 - 17:00
07 JUL  Practice 1  12:30 - 13:30
1065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: July 05, 2023, 12:18:36 PM
Sadly, the fight Bo Nickal VS Tresean Gore is not going to happen, as Gore has an injury and withdrew from the tournament... He is replaced with Val Woodburn, a guy from same Dana White Contender series. This is gonna be Woodburn debut, and imho an unsuccessful debut, as his opponent is a real wrestling master, while Val seems to be a simply steroid guy.

It's ok..  As long as Bo Nickal is still in the event.  But It would've been good to see him fight a guy with more than a couple of UFC matches under his belt.  :/  Esp after he won vs Jamie Pickett in an impressive fashion.  Pretty sure the under 1.5 rounds is gonna be juiced around 1.50 when the match up goes online.

And I noticed a sharp line movement in the Kirk vs Ribovics match.  The money is piling in on Kirk...  Could be a coin flip by fight day.  Possible injury?  There's some small line movements here and there but nothing like Kirk vs Ribovics.

Posting the chart here rather than starting a new thread...  APT broke out the resistance around 7.73 and poised to move up and test the next one at 9.43.  So it's prolly good to get your buy orders in just a tad above 7.73 and wait for a restest if ever that happens.  Wink

If it breaks out of 9.43, it could be a clear 2x tp around 15 - 16 if you got in at 7.73 break out or something close to it.  We'll see how it goes.  Good luck guys.

^  And 185 is prolly the weakest of weight classes in the UFC rn followed by 205.  They need to get more talent in at the top 10 as fast as possible.  It's also why Magomedov who's unranked got a main event slot.

Anyway, I just got my picks in for the Multi Master and decided to mix it up a bit and got the underdogs that I think could win.  Wink  The UFC has gotten a tad unpredictable as of late.  :/

PEPE just broke out of its .0000014 - .00000175 range which held for around 10 - 11 days or so.  Let's see if it holds above .00000175 resistance and flips it into support.  If it does, there's surely gonna be more upside to it, knowing how PEPE goes.

But that's not what we're here for...  Wink  Here's a tip, if the biggest memecoins are going up by a lot, it's worth spending some time looking for micro cap memecoins that could pull off huge pumps.
1071  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for July on: July 03, 2023, 02:56:06 PM
A lot can happen in July, therefore it's difficult for us to predict if the price of bitcoin will rise above $37,000 as predicted or fall below the current price of $30k+.

We shouldn't have assumed that the price of bitcoin would surge this month without first considering what kind of positive or bad news would be reported that would cause the price to soar or decline.

Whether Bitcoin's price will increase from $30k to $37k or decline below the stated amount by the end of July. Even yet, the only price I can see for July being is below $35k.

Mmmmm...  Not really that hard to vote and just tell everybody what you think if you're just having fun with it.  We're not trying to get the right answer here.  It's more like how you guys feel the market will be by the end of July.  It's the sentiment that matters.

But judging from how you feel, I think you're leaning towards sideways.  Which is fine really.

Anyway...  Seems like there's lots more voting for yes this month.  Wink  Good luck to your trades.

^  Yup been saying it since Helmut Marko and Christian Horner agreed to make Ricciardo their reserve driver.  I think Marko never really liked Perez.  It showed when he made the tequila comment last year, or was it the other year.  But yeah...  Now some journos are writing it's 'possible'.  Lol.  Not only is it possible, but the writing was on the wall the moment Ricciardo came back.  He's one of Marko's golden boys in Red Bull, like Vettel before him and Verstappen right after.

Marko has a knack for discovering young talent for F1.
1073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: July 03, 2023, 02:26:15 PM
UFC 290 is a banger of a card.  But too bad we lost Sean Brady.  Sad  He was supposed to fight Jack Della Maddalena.  That would've been a huge test for JDM but in Brady's last match, he was KO'd by Belal Muhamad.  The UFC knew what they were doing by matching him up with a guy with KO powerrr in JDM.

Another good match up that was pulled out is Fig vs Kape.  Fig supposedly moves up to 135 for this one.  Would've loved to see that one.  :/

But still..  Some good fighters I'm looking forward to.

Here's the countdown vid.  They included Bo Nickal in this one.  I guess he's the next prospect they're building up.

Here are the weigh ins and the face offs.  And judging from that, we could have more than the usual number of underdogs winning in this event...  Prolly around 6 of them.  That's 50% of the total match ups.  :/  Don't take my word for it tho.  Lol.  That's an easy way to lose money.  Cheesy

1075  Economy / Speculation / BTC Sentiment Poll for July on: July 01, 2023, 03:20:27 PM
There's a guy online who says he got some data that goes back to October 2009 and it shows that BTC's best performing month on average is July.  He also looked at the same data but just for the past 5 years and it says that BTC's best performing month is October then followed by July.

He uploaded a couple of bar charts and a line chart showing what he gathered.

https://twitter.com/tedtalksmacro/status/1674654489746329600

Here's BTC's monthly chart.  It's looking good.  Up 11.99% for June.  Basing it on pure optics, it looks like it's going up some more.  And I feel like more people will vote 'yes' in this month's poll.

1078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: June 30, 2023, 12:53:16 PM
Yeah, 20 is probably too many to be honest. It's kinda annoying having to send out that many prizes as well haha. Maybe we can do top 10 substantial payments and then at the most 5 consolation prizes that basically just win you your money back or maybe a little more. I'll see how big the sponsorship is and how many people sign up before I decide but I don't think I will go with more than 15 this time.

Top 10 prize position + $100 free bet for 11-15th position.

^  This imo.  Potential to win bigger prizes make players more motivated to be in the money.  Smiley

And for 11 - 15 spots, why not they just get their entry fee back, basically free rolling the next season's pool.  But yeah, sprinkling some free bets in there wouldn't be a bad idea.

Hey guys,

With the English Premier League set to kick-off on August 12, we wanted to give everyone the chance to get excited for what should be another fun and competitive season  Cool

Sponsorship
*  Sportsbet.io has agreed to continue the tradition with a generous 200 mBTC sponsorship  (Big thanks to Steve)
*  If we get our usual 50-60+ entrants, that brings the total pot to 325-350 mBTC+
*  The entry fee will be 2.5 mBTC and I'll leave the pot breakdown for hilariousandco to decide

Free Bets
*  There are 38 weeks in the season with the Yellow Cap winner(s) receiving a 3 mBTC Free Bet each week
*  In addition, there will be Exclusive Prediction Contests for paid entrants throughout the season; so plenty of opportunities to win additional Free Bets

Let's try to break last season's record of 61 paid entrants and get an even bigger pot  Smiley

Noice!
1079  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for June on: June 30, 2023, 12:37:26 PM
^  True...  It might not drop down as deep as 25k from here on out but that's where support most likely is rn judging from the past price action.

As for the trend going up to 37k, it's looking less likely the more we stay at 30k - 31k.  Hopefully we at least get past above 32k before the week ends.  Check the 4h chart...  It feels like a dump away back to 25k.  Cheesy

But all in all, if the month ended today BTC would be up around 11% for June.  Not bad imo.
For me so far, the 4 hour chart is not indicative of a new dump. Bitcoin is still at the 30k support level. It seems to me that the chart looks more like a flag. If that is the case, a new rise could happen soon. However, on the weekly chart bitcoin stopped at the level of the last local high. We need to break this resistance.

30k is where the resistance is actually.  I usually look at just the daily chart and some weekly to see where it's going in a higher time frame.  And the monthly chart for the purposes of these sentiment threads.

And here's what I see just basing it on optics.  Daily, it's having a hard time at 31k - 32k resistance and needs to break above it and retest as supporty to confirm the S/R flip.  Weekly, also at resistance but it looks cleaner than the daily chart.  Looks ready to break out 32k and go trend straight up to 37k resistance like dragonvslinux said.
1080  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏁🏎️ Sportsbet.io🏁 FORMULA 1 2023 Season🏁🏎️Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: June 30, 2023, 12:25:40 PM
It looks like a big upgrade for Ferrari indeed. Red Bull say that this track is very suitable for Ferrari and they need to be very careful in this race. Because if Leclerc starts in first row to the race then Red Bull are worried about Verstappen's having possible difficulties against him. But it is still too early to make such statement for Ferrari side to be honest.

Because so far Ferrari haven't been the same as the previous season. In that season there was an amazing competition between Leclerc and Verstappen in the Austrian GP. But now Ferrari's car is far from that level. Of course we need to see this upgrade first to see things clearer. We have qualifying and sprint sessions to observe it.  Smiley

The thing with F1 teams is they always sand bag before the practice sessions start.  They tell everyone how fast the other teams are while hiding their real pace.  But by the last minutes of FP3 you usually see who's the fastest and it gets confirmed at quali.  Lol.  It will be Red Bull all the way.  It's the Austrian GP ffs.  :/

I would like to remind everyone of the deadline for EBP on this race week. We still have to make our predictions before the qualifying session starts to get these points although there is a sprint session as well. Because the sprint race doesn't determine the grid. It is only for extra points to be achieved by the drivers.

As a Leclerc fan I would really like to see him having a solid race in Austria once again. The Tifosi are more expectant from Ferrari and especially Leclerc to fight for the win here. If this update on the car helps them get much faster than before it will all be depending on the strategies.

Ferrari impressed me in Canada with the right strategies and they should maintain it here also.

Yup.  Not really a Ferrari fan but I'd like to see some success for Leclerc.  I feel for the guy.  He's a good driver but the team...  It sucks.  Sorry Ferrari fans but it's true.
