1081  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Looking to BUY 100,000BTC on: May 04, 2020, 03:59:44 PM
Finally, a reasonable comment. It is only important you do your due diligence, whether you're selling or buying.

I don't think that the members being suspicious about your post are in the wrong here. If you think about it 100,000 BTC is a lot and you considering an escrow here in the forum is something strange, I don't even think a single escrow service here in the forum have handled that kind of amount even if you combined all their transactions together so it would really be a strange request for them to handle such thing, I even doubt that they'll be confident in taking that amount without even being suspicious themselves. Since we are talking about a big amount here why don't you just take this transaction to a more professional service where they can confidently handle that kind of amount.
1082  Economy / Speculation / Re: More upside of BTC is approaching this year 2020. on: May 04, 2020, 02:33:25 PM
Analysis in historical charts are pointless, even traders in the stock market don't do this since there is no such thing as "history repeats itself" in trading. Yeah sure they might look similar right now but it doesn't mean they will have the same outcome considering that there are a lot of other factors to be considered when analyzing a chart. For example if you look the chart other than the candles you will see that their volume is totally different which in the present you will see a significantly lower activity compared to 2015. Other factors like the pandemic we are having, affected miners stopping their operation, as well as regulatory changes will also take into place when considering the outcome and I know things are different compared to 2015 than what we have now.
1083  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China policy on Bitcoin on: May 04, 2020, 12:50:06 PM
Do you believe China's policy change regarding cryptocurrency and blockchain, effectively endorsing and encouraging its people to learn and use crypto will result in China is replacing the USA as the financial center of world?

There is news about China preparing for the digitization of their payments but I haven't hear them specifically encouraging people to use cryptocurrencies first. Since if they are talking about the "digitization of payments" they are talking about their payment processors like WePay or AliPay which have big ties in their government, the regulation and monitoring would be easier for them if they digitalized there payments this way. Maybe the crypto-industry is just somehow affected by this since it is related to China going digital but it is by no means their first priority on moving forwards. It's just good to see that even the crypto industry is just benefiting from this plan.
1084  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Infinity Token - fake team on: May 03, 2020, 08:54:19 PM
These scammers still bring in fake teams to steal investors ’money. Scammers always try to figure out how to easily scam. People are afraid to invest in good projects for such scammers. This leads to misconceptions about the crypto market.

It's the victims' fault on trying to put the blame on someone when they should be blaming themselves for being to careless with their money, its the same as people/investors blaming Bitcoin is a "bubble" after they lost all their money because they jump on BTC when it has risen. If you think about it, if they just did this kind of background checking where they check for plagiarisms and fake teams they won't be fooled by this types of fake projects easily.

They haven't posted an Announcement thread on Bitcointalk yet, because they might have thought their fake team wouldn't be caught if they didn't have an Ann on Bitcointalk.

I doubt that this is the case, a lot of projects haven't put their projects here most of them are IEOs so their marketing are done in the exchange's platform, aside from that they might just didn't have any time to post their fake project here in the forum, but it is a good thing that OP caught the scam early on before they posted any of their promotion here.
1085  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is Bitcoin is still legal in India and Bitcoin's future after Lockdown? on: May 03, 2020, 06:17:21 PM
The situation in India is pretty unclear as of the moment, just like China where we have seen for years now about news about BTC being illegal there we also have the same legal/illegal news about it in India. With the mainstream crypto news websites not being reliable, recycling old news, assuming things I think the best way for you to have a clear answer is to post the same question in India's local board here in the forum. You'll have a much more clearer answer from the locals compared to us who only rely on the mainstream media.
1086  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The future of cryptocurrencies UNWSF on: May 03, 2020, 05:16:04 PM
Is UNWSF some kind of convention or forum that happens internationally and you are some kind of reprsentative/speaker there? Because if you are, you are already doing a bad job at your spot, being picked into something without even having an idea how to start things up will just put you into a bad position. Even if we give you ideas right now without knowing what you are talking about in the stage then you will be dumbfounded will all the questions/rebuttals the other sides will give you. If you have someone more competent to take in your place I would advice to do so, but if no one is willing to take your place then just back out of it if you still have time.
1087  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Online learning. on: May 03, 2020, 03:38:43 PM
I personally don't like courses, they always feel very rushed and miss the detaisl, so I prefer books. Luckily, there are some great free books about Bitcoin, namely Mastering Bitcoin and Bitcoin And Cryptocurrency technologies. Also there's lopp.net which is a good source for both practical and theoretical written Bitcoin knowledge.

You can't really complain about this one especially if some online courses out there are offered for free because they literally are handing out knowledge for crypto without any kind of cost on your part. The best thing you can do is to of course find some related online course hoping that you learn some new points that was missed out during the last course you have taken. I like readings books as well but reading isn't for everyone and people learn more when there is a visual presentation being shown to them, so I think online courses are a good alternative for someone who is willing to learn.
1088  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Browser app from crypto projects! on: May 02, 2020, 09:43:26 PM
This is not a browser but rather an extension for Chrome, and since you included Opera even if it is not a crypto project dev team I think you should include this extension to since they are technically a crypto dev team. Metamask is basically a Ethereum wallet for your Chrome browser, other than that they also have apps for both Android and Apple mobile phones.
1089  Other / Meta / Re: Trust on: May 02, 2020, 07:41:42 PM
If this "note" is about this person personally annoying you or you think his/her posts are worthless/trash I think it will just be better if you just ignore the person by clicking the "ignore" button. This can be located at any of his post and the "ignore" button is just below their name. As for the notes about reminding you something I believe that this will do no harm in anyone as feedbacks are unmoderated here and I don't think the person would mind a neutral feedback if that is what you will give as a "not" to that person.
1090  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-05-01] Twitter Starts Shock War With Bitcoin And Crypto on: May 02, 2020, 05:43:18 PM
If this shadow ban has some truth in it I sense that these is only caused by scams/fake giveaways happening in Twitter and there only solution to lessen the damage is to include everything crypto related with the ban. Scams are really worsening in any social media websites right now and it has come to point that they even used Jack Dorsey's name and interview video to create a fake livestream channel in Youtube so that they can fool people into sending some crypto. If this is Twitter's way on how they will retaliate with the scams going in their website I don't see any wrong with it, this might just be temporary until they have found a proper solution to filter out scams from other crypto-related pages/tweets in their website.
1091  Economy / Reputation / Re: Using Sock-Puppet Accounts: Plutus Card Thread on: May 02, 2020, 03:47:41 PM
Still there are very suspicious user accounts with minimal history and newbies somehow finding their way on to the Plutus ANN thread....

From my observation I see minimal evidence that they are creating fake conversations in that thread based on the last two pages of their ann thread. Yeah some of the latest posts are coming from newbies with very little activity here in the forum but based on the Ann section, Plutus' ann thread is in the first page right now and I know a lot of newbies can see it even if they just scroll down. Other than that the last two pages contains questions about the project and nothing about newbies talking about the project being awesome or any kind of shit that will point out the obvious. Maybe for pages 73 and below you will see a different case but with their recent pages you will barely see anything about sock-puppet accounts based on my observation.
1092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 02, 2020, 02:30:26 PM
According to the Daily Mail report, Liverpool reportedly had taken the decision not to shop for new players in the 2020 summer transfer market.

Liverpool is predicted to lose a lot of revenue during the cessation of competition, in one match, they can usually get funding of three million pounds if the rest of the 2019/20 season continues without watching, the amount of loss is predicted to reach 100 million pounds.

Coming from DailyMail? For a Football fan who knows his sources very well you can cross out DailyMail as one of the reliable sources out there, DailyMail is some kind of fan page where they only talk about fuzz to create some noise so that they can generate views. If you want a more reliable news source for your team I think the best way to get news is from their subreddit pages and they do provide tier rankings on how reliable the news source is. For DailyMail for any team I think they can be ranked in Tier 3 which is the rank for unreliable news sources.
1093  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New Bitcoin-backed telemedicine website! on: May 01, 2020, 10:37:32 PM
I've heard this e-consultation from one of my cousins in the US but generally how does this work? Isn't this less effective compared to patient being consulted physically? How will the doctors know what is the problem when they aren't conducting any kind of test and just be asked by questions? Will that be really enough and will the online doctor's have an accurate finding just by being consulted online? I know this type of consulting is pretty new but I don't see any good gain aside from me staying at home for a video consultation.
1094  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you could, would you delete every altcoin? on: May 01, 2020, 07:49:01 PM
I would. Why so many cryptocurrencies should exist? Only one, and all of us would want the same coin.

NO, contrary to popular belief I do think that Bitcoin and every cryptocurrency/token in the crypto market  have a symbiotic relationship with all of them. Even though we have these thing called "market share" where Bitcoin is now sharing with other top altcoins I can say without these altcoins in existence Bitcoin would never reach its success on where it is now. Just think about Bitcoin being the one and only cryptocurrency and no one dared to even share or re-create the same idea on their own vision that means a new kind of payment system in the digital world has no demand and has no future. With the emergence of Litecoin and Ethereum it had shared the early success of Bitcoin being the pioneer in the market.
1095  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why risk management is so important ? on: May 01, 2020, 05:24:27 PM
One trader has a 60% win rate but his portfolio is down 6% using a 2/1 risk-reward.

Another trader has a 30% win rate but his portfolio is up 12% using a 1/5 risk-reward.

So, it’s necessary to have very strict rules on risk management that help you to always preserve the capital and not to take crazy risks.

Is a "win rate" really such a thing in crypto trading? From what I know a win rate is something being used by those odd pickers in gambling but not in trading because there is no such thing as a win rate for a trader since the market is to volatile to guarantee such trader being accurate in the market. Risk management is also barely used in the trading lingo but I believ what you are trying to say when risk management is involved is the cutting of losses of a trader to the bare minimum. In your example where the trader have lost 15% of his capital this can be something mitigated or avoided if the trader react way earlier or has a back up plan/ exit strategy when the target price failed to hold, maybe losing only up to 5%  is what you will be looking for if you are trying to manage your risk.
1096  Economy / Economics / Re: The true value of money, is it always just a number? on: May 01, 2020, 03:34:50 PM
Is the idea behind money that same as most things, you don't realise it's there until it isn't... Even if you're on a wage, you can't say you check all of your accounts on a daily basis and convert them to fiat (unless you waste a lot of time doing that).

I too don't check on what was left of my money, I don't have any budgeting going on and I don't plan ahead with what I spend but surprisingly I always have money left in cases where I need it even by the end of the month. I guess it is always about your habit in spending or your daily routine on how you spend things that makes you comfortable on not thinking ahead or plan what your will spend. Of course for me when I want to spend something new like buying a car that will just make me plan ahead on how I will adjust my earnings and savings for that car. However I couldn't say the same thing for some people who are living on a tight budget where every penny they spend counts, these types of situation is where people need to always adjust depending on their wage/earnings.
1097  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Crypto telegram channels on: April 29, 2020, 03:08:10 PM
One thing I don't like about Telegram channels even the "recommended" ones they  are most likely biased or comes with a hidden agenda to scam people. Even if the Channel is real there is no stopping scammers from lurking and picking off members to invite to their own channels so that they can scam them as well. Telegram is basically something you wanna stay away not unless you just use it as a messaging app for your family only without joining any crypto related channels out there since it will really be a bad idea.
1098  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC rally has paused on: April 29, 2020, 02:13:14 PM
Lol!!!!, just after the day of posting this Bitcoin suddenly rallied upwards up to 8,300$ which makes the author really not to be trusted with. The author, Omkar Godbole, is actually the ones who thinks that the deflation that USD is facing is "good" for Bitcoin. I'm starting to think that this guy working for CoinDesk is something not to be trusted with since he is just making worthless post after post. This just proves that even writers with names are creating topics that can create panic to attract attention in the internet.
1099  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Minerium Coin SCAM on: April 29, 2020, 12:50:38 PM
Quote
Minerium is not just a coin, it is a cryptocurrency.

Wow! Such insight! Much knowledge! Many words!

Quote
This is why we are first focusing on an investment platform which will allow you to use Minerium to buy online.
A partnership with Amazon, Newegg and Netflix, for example.

Facepalm! Why is every shitty token thinking of partnerships with Amazon? Is this still a thing?

Because they know that people are looking for cryptocurrencies that are partnered up with big names that's why even if there is no possibility of that partnership happening they will still say it at the same time use safe words where they can deny it after it fails like using the word "for example" where they will also say that they don't made any promises for their token like that.

It's funny to see that in there OP they stated that the pre-sale for Minerium is ongoing yet when people judge that how can they even start a pre-sale when they haven't shown any "faces, roadmap, whitepaper" of the project they directly contradicted what they have said.
So far the tests on masternodes are working great, we need to finish the roadmap now and the website before releasing the source code and start the pre-sale !

This one is funnier:  Grin
No source code, wallets arent even available on the website, too much premined.. And ICO .. really ?    If it's not a scam, it's not a good project i'm sorry ...

Just the way how he dodge questions and bring arguments instead of answers on why their project lacks a lot of information brings the truth in them, that they are just here waiting to fool a lot of people. With the post you quoted I don't even think they know how to speak in English since he just admitted to somehow being a scam rather than being a "good project"
1100  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Can i sell Bitcoin to illegal immigrant in usa on: April 28, 2020, 09:28:57 PM
If illegal immigrants in the US can buy houses, cars, have jobs, and also have loans from bank I don't think that you would be doing something illegal on your side since other businesses does this as well. Simply them being undocumented people in the US doesn't restrict them from paying something up after all cash is king. You really don't have to worry about this since even if you are aware that they are illegal immigrants there is no law that is stopping you from conducting a business with them. Just think of it like they are buying in Walmart or shopping in Amazon they aren't stopped or ban their accounts just because they aren't citizens there.
