1121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: June 01, 2023, 07:27:58 AM
Because he doesn't want to give Loma his due credit for a rematch, simply as that. Just like when Teo beat Loma, he didn't want to because maybe they know that they could lose in the rematch and now playing the race card which doesn't makes any sense and obviously, he is hiding from that excuse.

Yes, that is exactly the same situation and sadly for our own Lomachenko, he again found himself in the situation where he hates the most as this have already happened to him after he fought Teofiomo Lopez. It will be unfortunate to say but I think it's time for him to move-on because no matter what he do or say or even created a large hype, if Devin's camp is not interested at all then there will be no rematch.

Quote
Nevertheless, Loma might have another chance for a belt though, it seems that he wants to go up in weight so he will have to vacant the 4 belts. And Loma being the number 1 contender, will go and fight for the best belt out there, maybe WBC or WBA.

There is no telling right now because knowing Devin Haney and Bob Arum, they might try the next weight class first rather than leaving and vacate all four belts right away because if he vacates it and will have no luck in the next weight class, he will no longer unify it as we already know his chances.
Important to mentioned though that this is Haney's last fight with Bob Arum and he says that he is no longer re-singing with the fame promoter,

Quote
Devin Haney has denied that he extended his contract with Top Rank, and he even took a shot at promoter Bob Arum in reaction to him saying that Vasyl Lomachenko easily won their fight last Saturday night

https://www.boxingnews24.com/2023/05/devin-haney-denies-extending-contract-with-top-rank-2-days-before-fight/

So Top Rank no longer controls what Haney wanted to do in the future, whether have a rematch with Loma (which I doubt), or go to the next weight class and continue to chase belts. Although win or lose, Top Rank will have one of the belts that Josh Taylor and Teo Lopez are fighting for this month.
1122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 01, 2023, 06:55:23 AM
I think Miami is a different type of team, it is not really that easy to decide how they are going to go. I do agree that they are going to be on the heel, Nuggets is a better team but this team wasn't even in the playoffs, they were at play-in tournament and then joined as 8th seed and then managed to be at the finals.

That's usually not something we see, so it is normal that we see them as underdogs here and Nuggets as the potential winners but that was the case for every single series they played so far, they have been the underdogs on every single series and yet they managed to win. I still think Nuggets will win, Jokic is just on a whole another level but that doesn't mean that Miami will give up without a fight neither, they may win.
You have a point. But, they are playing the East, while the West is a tough path to take. The Nuggets defeated the Suns with KD and Booker, and the Lakers with Lebron and AD. Although we could say the Miami Heat defeated the number 1 Bucks, I am really in doubt about how they played this year with Middleton, not in his usual consistency in the offensive area.
I think it's just a good match, the battle of defense might be the deciding point on who will win this series. Coach Mike Malone said it a lot of times, whenever the Nuggets play tough defense they become a better team.
Crossing my fingers for injuries, I don't want to see one, and I wish Tyler Herro's return will be as early as possible to give us a more entertaining game.
That may also be the key for the Miami Heat to win this series, a deeper player rotation.
I think it did good for them for Herro to be out, (not saying that we've wished he is injured), but his team has step up without him. Even Duncan Robinson has been inserted in the roster again. Duncan was the first option tough before Herro became one of their deadliest shooters. But the good thing is that Duncan embraces his role again and I think he is vital to their winning and going to the finals. So we will see how the first game will be, others is beating that the Nuggets will take game one and I'm with them.
1123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beterbiev Vs Smith AUG 19 2023 SATURDAY IBF / WBC / WBO LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT Title on: June 01, 2023, 06:44:55 AM
I thought Artur Beterbiev's next fight will be against Dmitry Bivol and he even voiced it out and express his interest in the post-fight interview after his dominant win against Anthony Yarde last January retaining his WBC, IBF, and WBO Light-heavyweight titles. I don't know what is the hindrance why Beterbiev-Bivol seems not a priority. Bivol's last fight was in November last year and yet no signs of his next fight.

I've just learned that the deal was won by the Top Rank Promotions.

And guess what, obviously as a champion, the purse split for this match is 70/30, in favor of Artur Beterbiev.

Still boils down as who manages Bivol and his citizenship, there were even reports that his purse was still in limbo when he fought and won against Canelo, so not just if he has been paid already since there is a boycott amongst Russian athletes, (not just boxers).

Beterbiev is under Top Rank, and he has been fighting under the Canadian flag or at least his residency is Canada for many years now. And then again, Bivol is with Eddie Hearn's Marchroom and this is the one preventing this two to fight, both of their manager doesn't want to sit down and negotiate for a unification fight.
But if the money is right, then maybe Arum and Hearn can sit down and step aside their difference and make this fight, make sense right? Politics destroys some of the potential fight that we might not see in the future, but I believed that it can also make this manager settle down if there is money in the table to make as boxing is business.

Maybe not now, Bivol will have to challenge Canelo first at 175 lbs and if he won then maybe we can talk about the potential fight with Beterbiev because there's no one in the light heavyweight that they haven't fought.
1124  Economy / Speculation / Re: One Bitcoin May Be Worth $1 Billion by 2038, Fidelity Says on: June 01, 2023, 06:27:12 AM
Bitcoin Could Hit $1 Billion Because of Changes in the Dollar Value

I think the last part of the sentence is the key. The depreciation of the dollar in 15 years is going to be such that $1B probably won't buy even 10% of what you can buy today with the same amount. If you add to that that by that time the reward per mined block will be 0.390625 Bitcoin, we see that on both sides of the equation the most likely scenario is that price will tend to rise sharply.
Yes, really based on how the dollar will be in the next 15 years, will still be the most dominant fiat or China or Russia overtaking it.

But in any case, we all know that bitcoin is going to be worth in the future, and by the time its 2038, almost all bitcoin could have been mined already, hence the price going up dramatically and all this predictions might happen regardless on how the US dollar will depreciate. I think bitcoin's value will go up as adoption and there could be countries, embracing it like El Salvador does.
1125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Satoshi is a saint on: June 01, 2023, 05:38:24 AM
But literally speaking Satoshi nakamoto is a "saint " who literally forged the future transaction method and just disappeared
A lot of persons may say yah yah we know or nah vague post but the truth is this post is just my little way of thanking the Satoshi

I recently just took some basic knowledge about crypto currencies and Defi that was when I actually acknowledged the fact
Nah, we don't see him performing miracles, on the other hard, we really don't know if Satoshi is individual or group of persons that created bitcoin itself. Of course, we love what the did to the society with his invention, and we thank him for that.

But we shouldn't go out and make those claims that Satoshi is a saint or bitcoin is religion per se. He/they might be happy already wherever they are seeing that it has touch many lives, gives financial freedom for those unbank.
1126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Josh Taylor vs Teofimo Lopez on: May 31, 2023, 06:57:51 PM
And again, Teo with another controversy:

Quote
"And I said it like it is, I wanna kill Josh Taylor.

https://talksport.com/sport/boxing/1441384/complete-helmet-teofimo-lopez-backlash-boxing-josh-taylor/

But I don't think that he means that, perhaps he is hyping their upcoming fight here. No boxer wants to kill his opponent inside the ring. And most deaths happen by accident.

What do you think of Teo's statement though?
1127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 31, 2023, 06:07:33 PM
Another thing I dont like about Haney - WBC champion said ‘Fight a white boy 10 times, I’m going to beat him 10 times’ in reference to Vasyl Lomachenko. This is not the first time he is telling how "white boys" are weaker than "black".

It is often assumed that white individuals are the ones who exhibit racism, but in this case, it is the opposite. However, we should not generalize or label people based on their race, as racism has no place in our world. While it is true that black individuals excel in many sports, including the NBA where most superstars are black, it is important to recognize that racism is unacceptable. As a boxer, Haney should consider himself a role model and inspire people rather than causing harm. Criticizing Loma using racist comments not only hurts Loma personally but also reflects negatively on the country he represents, which is highly inappropriate.

Why doesn't he give Loma a chance for a rematch instead of talking so much? If he wins again, then he can speak however he likes. The problem is, his excessive talking doesn't help him sell future fights, especially when he engages in racist criticisms towards white people. This kind of behavior could alienate the millions of fans who are predominantly white. He should be cautious with his words and consider investing in public relations (PR) to manage his image effectively.
Because he doesn't want to give Loma his due credit for a rematch, simply as that. Just like when Teo beat Loma, he didn't want to because maybe they know that they could lose in the rematch and now playing the race card which doesn't makes any sense and obviously, he is hiding from that excuse.

Nevertheless, Loma might have another chance for a belt though, it seems that he wants to go up in weight so he will have to vacant the 4 belts. And Loma being the number 1 contender, will go and fight for the best belt out there, maybe WBC or WBA.
1128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: May 31, 2023, 05:50:43 PM
Naoya Inoue is no doubt already compatible with the 122 division and honestly seems looked overqualified even before entering officially that division. If let's say he loses to Stephen Fulton, it's just that he can't take the champion here but against anyone else in that division, Inoue can surely topped most of those. But I'm sure if he really loses here for real, the fight is a close one and a rematch is probably the next in line.

If Inoue loses this match, then we will all be proven wrong because we are expecting an easy victory for Inoue to claim the championship. I mean no disrespect to Fulton, but when you compare his record to Inoue's, there is a significant difference. So, even though Inoue is the challenger in this fight, many still anticipate his victory.

I wouldn't expect a rematch because I truly believe that we will not witness a closely contested fight. Most likely, the fight will either end early or go the full 12 rounds if Fulton opts to avoid taking risks and decides to focus on surviving rather than engaging in exchanges of punches.

So if there's a rematch, most likely the champ has succeeded in defending his belt.

There is no rematch clause in this fight as per Fulton already. He admitted that this is just one fight and then see how it goes. He really wanted to go up in weight already and fight Brandon at 126 lbs it's that maybe his camp stop him from moving up because there is one fight that they need to settle and that is the Inoue fight.

So if Inoue losses, then he will remain in 122 lbs and maybe fight for the belt again.

And then Fulton will go on 126 lbs, relinquished his belt and then go for the champion Figueroa at 126 lbs. That will be the best scenario, in my opinion.
We still don't know, yes, what if he beat Inoue? then for sure there will be huge money for him in the table in the rematch and if he is going to be wise and intelligent, then he might have to do that, have a second fight, but this time it will be in his own terms, like in the US so that he won't go back to Japan.

Fulton is still very young, so the future is bring for him. It's just a matter of making the right decision in his career. And hopefully his advisor will really take care of him, on his career path, whether to move up to 126 lbs.
1129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 31, 2023, 05:20:23 PM
How do you guys see game 1? It will be interesting to see the battle of strategies in this series. I'm thinking coach Spo will try to focus the defense on Murray and the supporting players. He knows they can't stop Jokic no matter who he puts to guard him so may as well let him take all the shots to tire him out as early as possible.

For the whole series, I believe it will be dominated by Nuggets.
For the game 1, Nuggets probably already formulated strats against Heat since they (Heat) just came from a 7-game series.
Initially, I think this year is Nuggets'. But who knows what Heat can do.
It's going to be a battle of adjustments in game 1. Both coaches are great in adjustment in my opinion. It's just a matter of who execute it. The only edge of the Heat is that they have been in the finals before with Jimmy, while this is the first time for the Nuggets.

So there could be anxious moments for the Denver team in the beginning, maybe in the first 2 quarters. But once they got in and settled, they might have to run and put a good double digit lead and win game 1 comfortably.
1130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Josh Taylor vs Teofimo Lopez on: May 30, 2023, 06:39:18 PM

My take is prime Josh Taylor would've easily schooled Teofimo Lopez and might take him out in the late rounds. But considering the 1-year inactivity of Josh Taylor and he admitted before that making weight is so difficult already as he aged. Earlier, the only reason Taylor stayed for 1 last fight against Caterrall is in order to settle their controversial first fight. Now I am not counting out Lopez as we do not how what version of Taylor will show this June 10. But I still believe Taylor will be the slight favorite here.

Between the two Josh is the more technical and more patient I have him winning by the decision I doubt if he can knock out Lopez he has good movement and defense in the ring, but I never rule out the possibility that Lopez gets knockout because of his impatient to attack that always causes him to get knocked down, like what happened in the Sandor Martin and Kambosos fight.
Yes, if he is impatient and try to go for the offensive early, Josh being the technical might caught him coming in and maybe score a flash knockout, like what Kambosos did in the first fight. but Lopez is still going to be very dangerous as he still has the power to knockout anyone.

Teofimo Lopez has huge potential but his last two fights are not good he needs a good trainer to level up his style a loss against Taylor will strain the father relationship, because right now his father cannot be considered a good trainer, and Lopez needs a better one.
I doubt that it will strain his relationship with his Father. He shows respect to Sr, but in any case, Sr should be the one to tell his son that it's time to move on to a new trainer if they lost this fight.
1131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 30, 2023, 06:09:18 PM
Well, that wasn’t the game I was hoping to watch but now we can look towards the Finals. You always hope a game 7 is going to be close but the Celtics just weren’t having it yesterday. The Heat got it done and now they have the Denver Nuggets to deal with. I personally think Denver will win this series easily, but I didn’t think Miami would get this far.
And again, probability and statistics are on on the side of Miami, and so numbers don't lie. They still get the job done after 7 games and still, there are no teams that comeback from a 0-3 lead, almost though by the Celtics, but they just get tired or the Miami Heat find their shooting range in time as everyone is hitting their outside shot including 3 point.

Jimmy Butler won the ECF MVP.
1132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 27, 2023, 04:39:00 AM
Not only that, it will be the biggest purse of Tapales for sure and it will also be a privilege to fight one of the best and to pound for pound. Just watching how Inoue dismantle Emmanuel Rodriguez in two rounds, reminds me of Manny Pacquiao knocking out Eric Morales and saying no mas.
Yeah, it might be. Inoue fights are a must-watch boxing bout and many people will probably hype it on social media. Tapales camp will probably accept it even if they knew they will be the heavy underdogs in this match. The money they will claim will still be worth it and if they ever win it, that will be a bigger accomplishment for both Tapales' career and for his country Philippines.
Yes and you can hear the tug when Inoue throws his punch, power, both hands, and it's really scary. And again going back to the Emmanuel Rodriguez fight, you can see Rodriguez face with blood and he doesn't want it anymore.

Regarding ranks, I think Casimero is also in the high spot in WBO now after defeating Fillipus Nghitumbwa for the Global Super Bantam Title. The chances they will meet are getting thicker after winning 9 consecutive bouts. Maybe one more win for Casimero and they can start making a trend about their fight.
He is really being held highly by the WBO. Casimero is their former champion in 118 lbs and actually he didn't lost the belt in a fight. It's that he can't make the weight anymore. He needed another good dancing partner to bring the best out of Casimero.
If I am right, he is now ranked number 5 in WBO which means he is near having that chance for a title fight. One more good fight to show how mighty he is and I am sure he will be given a chance to either fight Inoue or if I were him I would focus on getting that title first so that he will have the respect back and the entitlement to pick who will he fight himself.
Good as he climb up to the ladder and becoming the number 5, just a matter of time for him to fight another rank boxer in the top. And for sure there will be hype on Inoue, so he will be back on the limelight at 122 lbs. Now just forget about Inoue for a while, he just need to get busy focus on his comeback trail and maybe if the time is right, then we will see him and Inoue fighting for the belt at super bantamweight.
1133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 27, 2023, 04:13:19 AM
Honestly, I also don't believe the Celtics will be able to win this series. However, if the Heat players perform as poorly in the next games as they performed in the last two games, the Celtics will definitely have a chance to win this series. It's worth noting that the Celtics literally had a 0% chance of winning the series a few days ago, but now they have a 16% chance of winning it. So anything is possible.

Nobody believed Boston when the series was 3-0, not just you, but Boston won the last 2 games very strong and remembered they are being the real favorites of the series. Game 6 will be very important. If Boston wins this away game, they can pass the finals in Game 7 at home. Teams that have scored 3-0 150 times in history have won, while the teams behind have never won. But there is a first time for everything. Perhaps Boston will break this series and become the first team in history to return from 3-0. Of course, for this, they must win the 6th game first, it will be a very difficult match. We can say that the mental advantage has passed to Boston. Not only Tatum and Brown, but also Derrick White and Al Horford make incredible contributions.
It would be recorded in the history books as the two teams that will play the Finals have break a history before reaching it then. The momentum was on the Boston now and they have to keep that phase but on the other hand I think Coach Spoelstra should break his approach as well during that 3 consecutive won of his team. I think decreasing the minutes of Butler wasn't the best of it and Vincent should play the next game as it's the most crucial game for them if they want to be on the finals.
Yes, it seems to be that the momentum has shift to Boston on the strength of their two wins in the road and at home. But still not done yet, Miami still leads the series and they are going to play at their home court next.

Still the pressure on the back of Celtics to win this and definitely it will be a hard fought game 6.

While the Nuggets are resting anad most likely coach Malone and this team are coming up with a strategy whichever team they are going to face in he finals.
Game 6 will surely be intense and I think it's not only the Celtics being pressured here considering that if they win a game 7 will be on the Celtics home court. Celtics won the game 6 and 7 against Philadelphia and they're a better team in terms of stats afaik and I think it's not impossible if the Celtics do the same right here right now. The Nuggets are being favored, they have lot of days for preparation and they will witness how to counter both of these teams in ECF.
Yes, chances of Celtics goes up with that big win against the Heat in their homecourt and they could have solved the riddle of the Heat's defense? So the ball is on the Heat and Jimmy Butler, they don't what to be on the bad side of the history, leading 3-0 and the lost 4 games, that's going to sting with the Heat franchise.

Looking at the odds now, the Celtics is the slight favorite, 1.71 and Heat at 2.18.

Will it be a good bet for us if we stick on the Heat ML right now? Just like what they did on the first two games wherein they are the underdogs? Or Celtics really has the momentum going into the next game, regardless if it is a road game for them as you have said, they steal one game in Sixers home court.
1134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why choosing instant withdrawal casinos on: May 27, 2023, 03:55:49 AM
I had an experience that made me think about why everyone should choose instant withdrawal casinos I’m sure there are many reasons for that but for my experience where i was gambling in a not instant withdrawal casino.
I played some slots and won good amount of money so i requested to withdraw all of it right away. After 24 hours my orders still pending so i contacted the support to cancel the request ( which was so dumb from me Xd).
After playing again i lost all that balance and i was thinking if i was in an instant withdrawal casino this scenario wouldn’t happen even that it was totally my fault ( and please no need to mention that again )

In your opinion why you should choose instant withdrawal casino instead of regular ones that can take days to receive your winnings?
I'm not really sure what casino's you played, because majority of them are providing us instant withdrawals, however, with the current network congestion that we are experiencing, there could be delays. However, as I have said, casino's know and check the mempool first before setting what fees that they can used so that there will be no delays in transaction.

However, I experience the same though, I don't want to withdraw initial although I said to myself that I'm going to get the funds. But the greedy I am, I started to play with small amounts until It become out of control on my end losing my capital + my winnings.
1135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: May 27, 2023, 12:35:24 AM
Finally, the fight every boxing fan has been waiting for is now sealed. I guess this is already 99% happening. Odds are already released as well.
Yes, it's already official now, Crawford and Spence has announced it to their social media already.

Still, I think Crawford is winning this match. As a matter of fact, to be quite frank, although this is a battle of undefeated fighters, I don't see this as a 50:50 match. I agree with the odds. Spence deserves to be the underdog. The last time he fought was more than a year ago. And then he had no fight in the whole of 2021. In his last few fights, he only had a UD against the two Garcias, Danny and Mikey, and only a split against Porter, who Crawford knocked out.
Crawford is the favorite, I'm not surprised though, I mean he has face tougher opponent that Spence in my opinion. And that Porter fight might be a good gauge as Spence went and it was very close fight, while Crawford just toyed with Porter and even if he is the aggressor, Crawford just want for the right time to knockout and I think that is the last fight of Porter.

I'm just surprised though that majority of boxing fans are not into this thread. They said that the want this fight and really disappointed that it was not done and should be announced in the Garcia vs. Tank fight, but here we are right now. I'm expecting that this thread is going to blow out.
1136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: As a Gambler and a Die-Hard Fan of a Club Would you Bet Against your Club on: May 27, 2023, 12:03:25 AM
We are fans of different football clubs, and whenever there is football banter, we never fail to take sides with our respective clubs. We stand by them no matter what because that's what being a fan of a football club is all about - unwavering loyalty. However, not all of our favorite clubs perform well. A typical case study is Chelsea, who have had one of their worst performances this season, currently occupying the 11th position. The challenges they have faced this season are unlike any other. Just last night, they were brutally defeated by Manchester United, who showed them no mercy, to the extent that they didn't even celebrate one of their goals.

As a gambler and a die-hard fan of a club that has been having a terrible season, would you bet against your club, knowing that their loss would be your financial gain? Or would you stay loyal and not bet against them?
I think it's very different, if we look at "fanatics" and "fans", for me those fanatics are going to bet on their favorite team regardless if they are performing very well or not. And I think it's not good per se, I mean financially you know that you are going to lose but still, because you are a die hard fans and will continue to support them. But for me, it's a terrible season already, it might be better to bet against them to win some money.

I watched the matched last night, and I can remember Manchester United did actually played a very good game, but when it comes to gambling, and most especially sport betting, I always try to analyze the strength & previous performance of both teams (i.e my favourite club) and the other to see which has a better chance of winning, and if I notice my club has a very slim chance of winning, I rather stake against my favorite club or not stake at all. However, I'm a fan of Manchester City & I really love the fact that Pep Guardiola has been doing a good job since we made him our couch.
Yes, and that's what we should do, analyze the game, not just because the other team is our favorite, we automatically have to bet on them. Look at the odds, see who has the better chance of winning and if we found out that our favorite team is the underdog them it is better to bet against them, in my opinion. Use our logic thinking and not our emotions when betting.

Nah. News such as this does help Bitcoin in a PR-perspective, but it's not near huge alone to actually cause a full-fledged bull market. I remember us having a decent number of positive news deep in the 2020 bear as well, but those news did jack shit besides a temporary small cute pump.

I agree with this, and if a bull run were to start now it would be by chance, not because this caused it. Anyway and historically, the year before the halving there is usually a mini bull run followed by a fall, to get into the bull run proper after the halving. Let's hope it happens again.
That's right, and if ever there is a bull run already, we will have all the signs, not just a news from China, it should be the bitcoin halving that will cause this whole market turn into green again, just like in the last bull run of 2017 and 2021.

So still we're in the bear market, China will not caused any bull run, sorry to burst the bubble to the OP. But for sure, majority of us already knows, that, I mean in the beginning China used to be the hub, as they have control of bitcoin mining. But since the government take that away, there impact is less significant now.

I think Ethereum has the potential to transform a wide range of industries by enabling the creation of decentralized applications that are more secure, transparent, and efficient than traditional centralized systems. While there are still challenges to overcome, such as scalabilityand interoperability, Ethereum's continued development and growth suggest that it will play a significant role in the future of blockchain technology.  Grin
It already transform the altcoin market in any shape or form because of their Dapps since the inception of this project. Although it has become more centralized when they moved to PoS now, but still the consensus and support is still there from the community. I guess we can't say BTC here because we are in the altcoin market.

But nevertheless, it's one of the best crypto to invest. It might be not for everyone specially those who are looking for a get to rich quick investments. It will take time for bitcoin to mature and goes on a parabolic rise as it has two cycle, bears and the bull cycle.

In any case, BNB, ADA and others on the top 10. Dark horse for me is GALA as it can also make a massive return and a new all time high next bull run season.
1140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 25, 2023, 11:04:03 AM
Haney and Top Rank should be happy that they got that numbers and the money.
They cannot be happy if the expectation is high but the outcome is low. I suppose Haney needs to change his style from boring to an exciting boxer. That would certainly attract more viewers, especially if he keeps winning with his new style. Mayweather was boring, yet he was a PPV king. Haney cannot just use that as a basis, as he is not as good as Mayweather. Additionally, people's tastes may have changed since there are plenty of exciting boxers in the sport who are worth spending on PPV subscriptions.
Of course in every fight PPV expectations are set to be high, but if you didn't sell well and it's below expectations then you can't do anything about it. And that's why everyone criticized Haney because he doesn't bring numbers to the table as compare to Tank Davis. So I doubt that Haney will become PPV king, no way that he can sell 500k PPV unless it's Davis that he wil be fighting next.

Even if he fought Shakur, it might be the same numbers are Loma or less. You can't compare him to Floyd, he is very different when he promotes the fight and he can back up his trash talking in the ring. Haney on the other hand will have to shove Loma to get the boxing media hype on this fight. And it backfired on him as it cost $400k out of his purse.
