I took just one of the lid screws out to remove a piece of the plastic covering that was still stuck on there and was annoying me.
I saw what was trying to happen to the piece with the mating threads, and quickly put the screw back in. (I did get the plastic off.)
The thread plugs are not welded or otherwise attached to anything but their mating screws, and will try to come loose and fall out if their screw is removed.

I think the market is crying out for a bite-sized product. Maybe 10 chips making ~2.8GHps.
If you could license the submodule PCB design too you'd be most of the way there.

So, just for my understanding, you get an ethernet cable, plug one end in your laptop and the other end in the avalon?
The thing that you're plugging your laptop into via the ethernet cable is the TP-Link TL-WR703N?
So the wr703n then connects to your router thus connecting your avalon to the internet?
Why do you need to change your laptop's IP to 192.168.0.101? Can you just leave your laptop the way it was before?
Or does the TL-WR703N connects both your laptop and avalon to the internet?
I know it sounds noobish but someone please explain.
You would only first plug it directly into a laptop to initially configure its IP address. Once you have it set for your network, you would disconnect it from the laptop and plug it into your regular LAN, like any other ethernet device. Or I suppose you could configure it to connect via wifi and do away with the cable. Personally, I prefer a wired connection.

I Bid 5.6 each on both underperformers.
I also bid 6.6 on one "normal" board.

23: They are not committing enough engineering resources to the project. While they hold our millions in funds, their lead engineer Nasser is still living half a world away in France, working remotely for BFL nights and weekends while holding a day job at a bank. Srsly, WTF?

You might want to decide on an upper limit of how many you are going to purchase.
Imagine how hard things could be if you end up buying 100 units.

The Avalon is completely standalone. It just needs an Ethernet or WiFi connection.
You Mac laptop will work fine to do the initial configuration. All you need is a web browser.

If I buy in for 25 BTC, can I take one of the hashing modules instead of dividends?
I'm already in for 12.5 BTC. I'll go in for another ~12.5 or so if I can do this.

I'm still trying to figure out exactly what "series 2" means. Could you explain it?
2012. The 2011 was the first series, 2013 is the third series. I'm not sure why people call them by series instead of year though. That's what I'd thought, but I have a "series 2" 1 BTC piece with the windowed sticker, dated 2011.

Consult with a real estate attorney for a definitive answer. I suspect that it is indeed possible.
I've seen deeds written as "for the price of $10 and other valuable consideration".

Hello,
Is there any slower and cheaper shipping alternative to Europe for something like 5x 1/10oz gold rounds? I'm considering getting some silver and gold games going on at taabl.net but your shipping price makes it hard for smaller quantities.
For a tracking number to Europe, the cheapest shipping option is about $60 (this is a rough estimate). This does not include insurance either. If you find a cheaper shipping option that includes tracking we would love to hear about it! Isn't Registered Mail fully trackable, and intended for high value shipments? I've used it a few times, and it cost maybe $12 on top of the cost of First Class. It's been a while though, it could be more now.

what kind of company tolerates their employees making public statements like that?
At least you're asking the right questions.

you picked the chinese option without being able to read chinese? o.O?
My browser did not show any Chinese. Someone failed to install the language packs for their OS. Best go take care of that now so you don't have a repeat incident.
