1201  Economy / Economics / Re: We need a economic revolution right now . on: April 06, 2020, 03:41:41 PM
What are you exactly suggesting? With this "economic revolution" you are thinking about there is no possible way that it could be started with the given situation right now. Majority of the affected countries are still in lockdown and that lockdown also covers work from both blue collar and white collar workers. White collar jobs have a high chance that they have work from home and they still earn while the one blue collar jobs will most likely depend their needs with the government, just with this situation alone we can't start anything but just to stay at home which will help lessen the spread even more. We have no other ability but to just voice out our concern over the internet or donate to a cause but other than that we can't really do anything more.
1202  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BINANCE TO LAUNCH ITS OWN MINING POOL on: April 06, 2020, 03:03:23 PM
~snip~
Just like someone said... at the end of the day it's all about making more and more money and there is nothing we can do about it. I can't even keep track of the promising projects binance have acquired so far. Here are a few I know of
- 3commas trading bot service
- Wazirx
- Trust wallet
- Brave Browser
- Coinmarketcap
- Dappreview

My worry is if binance goes crashing as you know how unfriendly the crypto space can be, the projects it acquired will also be at a risk of collapsing.

Nothing to worry about that one since even if the parent company, Binance, will be under legal action all of these subsidiaries will be acting as an independent company as long as they don't have any direct links with the main business operation of Binance or is part entirely of their legal action. That's assuming that Binance will keep it that way not only absorbing this businesses but keeping them as a separate operating entity under them. Also if you are worried about that then that is the bad thing monopolizing the crypto industry because if they fall then we all know everything around them will be affected not only the companies part of them but also us individuals especially the ones using their services.
1203  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BINANCE TO LAUNCH ITS OWN MINING POOL on: April 05, 2020, 09:42:07 PM
Well, centralization aside, I think it's understandable considering they're trying to make as much money as possible. If they can build their own mining pool then why not? After all, it's about money.

People are not that stupid after all. If he did try to do some stupid things I bet it will get noticed. Just like their drama with Steem fork.

I do agree with you with the recent acquisition of CoinMarketCap and now they are planning to have their own mining pool this just means that they are trying to monopolize certain parts of the crypto industry which I think would be a bad thing for us. When they first got axed out of the US market they quickly have  gotten their footing back in which just shows that they are determined to cover all big markets as well. I don't know that if this will be a good thing for us or it will just mean more less and less competition in some big segments of the industry.
1204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is breaking the law and will be sued by Craig Wright on: April 05, 2020, 07:51:57 PM
I posted this earlier on a topic where another member has linked this topic and generally I don't feel that this news has really worth anything at all. After him pretending to be Satoshi Nakamoto now he is planning to destroy his own creation with a legal action which I think for a guy who is claiming to be him is really such a dumb move. Aside from that with all the years we have seen him talk about empty threats and lies I don't think this is a man to believe in all the things he is saying right now. At this point he will choose a path right now where he sues Bitcoin and drop the "I am Satoshi Nakamoto" act or just continue his case in court claiming the BTC he still haven't receive yet.
1205  Other / Meta / Re: Identifying alts using posted addresses on: April 05, 2020, 06:12:05 PM
So far I haven't seen any cases where a member got tagged solely just because the other user have posted the same address as he was, I always see additional evidences such us the same Telegram account, addresses are connected to one wallet, same date of registration, same topics being posted, same bounties being joined but just tagging a member and another account with just the same address alone shouldn't be enough to convince any DT member to tag those accounts this wouldn't really be fair for the member if he is being framed for something. Also if they are guilty you'll see the common answers like "we are a group of family","we are friends" so these types of alibis are a sure red flag of what a bounty cheater says.
1206  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Withdraw funds in FIAT/crypto from Binance and convert to FIAT on: April 05, 2020, 04:42:25 PM
This is a pointless question unless you tell us what country you're in. Every country will have a very different set of options from everything you could ever want to hardly any at all.

Judging it from his post in one of our local boards way back in 2017 and assuming that the account didn't switch hands his country is Romania. And from what I know Romania is one of the highly supported countries by Coinbase. Also @OP you can check out your localbitcoins page in Romania to see if you will get better deals with them.
1207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Legality of Blockchain Notarization? on: April 05, 2020, 02:33:14 PM
It comes down to legality. When we are talking about courts and judicial organs, they are an integral part of the state and they have been one of the most conservative field everywhere. There also comes the issue of authenticity and privacy. Both of them mostly act reciprocally. It would be difficult to keep a balance on them.

Nope, it's not a matter of authenticity or privacy of the said document, it simply boils down to if the document is required to notarized or not. If that certain document is required to be notarized simple a time stamp won't be a proven alternative for it since it won't suffice anything. For notarized documents there is no known alternatives for it, not even a letter of authenticity or ownership can prove to the court that the document you have is enough not unless the document is notarized. In most cases laws are something that can be translated in different ways by various judges but I don't think they'll have a different interpretation of a "notarized document" requirement in the eyes of the law.
1208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Legality of Blockchain Notarization? on: April 04, 2020, 09:52:45 PM
If a time stamp is enough in your case I think that it will be valid but you shouldn't mixed it up with notarized documents. In most countries I know a notarized document will only be valid if it is done by a lawyer in front of the two parties while having a witness by each one, if that is not fulfilled then the notarized document itself is invalid in the face of court. Also when we are talking about notarized documents we are mainly talking about legal documents here such as birth certificates, certificate of incorporation, and marriage contracts so really if this document you are talking about isn't a required document to be notarized then I would say a time stamp is valid. But if you just show a time stamp on a legal document alone I wouldn't say it will be enough for them at all if we are basing it purely with our laws.
1209  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Craig Wright is Satoshi???! on: April 04, 2020, 08:36:33 PM
Well, jokes on us. Check this other thread and cry, because it's not a joke...

I'll allow you to have a sneak peak of the title.... "Bitcoin is breaking the law and will be sued by Craig Wright"
Lmao, bitcoin is not a person nor an institution/company that you can sue with. He's out of his mind (really and he call himself a computer scientist), and surely he doesn't know what is open source and the MIT license means. 🤦🏻‍♂

The jokes on him really, after years of trying to prove/fool people thinking that he is Satoshi Nakamoto and it all goes down to this? If he is Satoshi Nakamoto why is he then trying to sue his own creation? Why does he think that Bitcoin is using its own database without permission? Just by saying that he will sue his own creation is already enough for me to or for anyone in BCT to say that he is indeed not Satoshi Nakamoto. Good thing that this April Fools article is fake and the article you provided was real, it totally give me a good laugh cause the jokes on him, he won't be really fooling anymore people now.
1210  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Craig Wright is Satoshi???! on: April 04, 2020, 06:27:55 PM
I can't believed that I still got April Fooled even if it is April 4 now that's why when I was reading this bit I thought that this was real and it's game over for us laughing at Craig Wright for stealing Satoshi's name. What the news is saying is actually equivalent to Satoshi writing another post here in Bitcointalk which only proves that he is in fact Satoshi. Good thing that this was a prank and if this was real I would really be surprised for why Bitcoin as of right now is performing well in the market and I know Craig Wright can't be the reason why.
1211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin to Electrum... Fail? on: April 04, 2020, 05:26:52 PM
Try installing Electrum in your mobile wallet to see if the connection in your computer is the problem. The Bitcoin you have purchased in LocalBitcoin should reflect if your pc has connection problem but if it is not try switching your phone from using your WIFI connection to your mobile data and maybe that will solve the issue. Can you also provide the address you have used for us to see if there is an existing TX id for your transaction with LocalBitcoin?
1212  Economy / Speculation / Re: COVID-19 - The major reason for the current fall of Bitcoin on: April 04, 2020, 04:20:26 PM
All the companies who are not working right now, not all business could be done from home, some business sent people home and make them work remote and that could work but do not forget that there are thousands of people who can't work because their job requires them to be there, all of those business' stopped right now and not working and not making any money at all.

It is vital to think like that because all of those business' can't make any money right now, sure some of them can stay afloat until they get back because they have saved up some money for days like these, but many of them will bankrupt, or they will fire people or they will send people to unpaid leave, all of those equals to economy not having money as much as they used to have.

And you are assuming that they have liquidated their cryptocurrencies because they don' have any job left? Because if you are, I believe that this assumption is wrong since even before that majority of the lockdowns happened in a lot of countries Bitcoin started to fall before that. USA and some European countries haven't announced there lockdown before the midweek of March and to the 1st week of April and Bitcoin have fell because of that. I'm with the other members here saying that fear in the world caused the drop any nothing else part of any economical reasons. Fear is the only one that can cause a big a fast drop like what we have seen that's why we have FUD as a term here in the crypto market.
1213  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Need Your Feedback on a Bitcoin Project Slogan on: April 04, 2020, 03:19:06 PM
IMHO I wouldn't be focusing on my project's slogan too much if your own project cannot live the hype your slogan brings, who knows it might bite you back when no development is happening with your project at all. "Get ready for mass adoption" sound really good but really you must as yourself if you can carry it out for your project. I mean what type of project do you have in order to bring mass adoption your project is promising? And can this type of project really push people to change from fiat and other payments and start using Bitcoin because of this project? If your project won't do exactly what your slogan is saying I would recommend on thinking other slogans that would really fit in your project.
1214  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-04-02] Rich Dad Poor Dad Author Calls Bitcoin People’s Money on: April 03, 2020, 08:36:43 PM
Because with the current situation it's a perfect period for him. It's like a reminder to say 'I told you', to stay relevant as you think. He has always been a gold bug (and they are all doing the same these days.)

Since some people consider Bitcoin as a store of value, he has the right audience to talk to; to spread wrong shady advice and regurgitate the same things he does for years

Yeah, but why Bitcoin and also Gold? I know that other assets are at an all time low now like stocks and real estate which will surely give him more audience if he mentioned about these two rather than just Bitcoin and Gold. Knowing Robert Kiyosaki and how he built his book I know that he would lean more too stocks and real estate not some volatile asset like Bitcoin. One of the possibilities I am seeing why he just mentioned Bitcoin again is it's the only thing who have suddenly pump during this crisis while other markets are still suffering that's why he is talking about Bitcoin right now since he just want to think that investors should be focusing on Bitcoin instead rather than some other good opportunities out there.
1215  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Plead] Phinnaeus Gage's User Moniker Manifested Due to a Malignant Brain Tumor on: April 01, 2020, 06:16:16 PM
Reading this at April 1 made me think that this was an April Fools joke but when I read the whole post and see the date it was created I felt sad that this was really happening from one of our members, Although I can't help monetarily all my prayers will go to you and your family in Indiana and Illinois. With how you are planning to spend the donations you receive I know that you have accepted your fate but I'm just here to tell you that you don't need to be sad about it. Right now I just viewed some of your transactions coming in to your wallet addresses and based from my calculations you have received 2,580$ worth of Bitcoin, 218$ worth of BCH, which I think is really big especially when you just posted this last 3 days ago. Here is a free bump for your thread.
1216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 01, 2020, 05:15:31 PM
It appears to be a good solution for a while however it may ends with a catastrophe. Putting 500 or more people (players, staff, cameramen, security...) in one place with too much close contact at least in games and training is risky. 1 asymptomatic person could spread the infection to everyone. Even if they all carried out the test and were negative, which doesn't guarantee anything, and someone from outside is positive carrying the food for example then he can contaminate them too...
Imo it is a possible solution but it requires so so many precautions!

This idea is proposed for June/July. By that time the virus should be dying off because of the self isolation & restrictions on people in the UK at the present time.

It could be earlier (I hope).  I think in around two or three weeks we could see some improvement.  Esp. now knowing that cloroquine combined with some anti biotics have been getting promising results.

We don't know that yet for sure. I know that most  of the countries are on lockdown and self-isolation orders right now but not until we see that the numbers are actually decreasing can we start to expect some improvements. Right now as of today had 4,000+ additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 bringing the number up to almost 30,000 individuals in that country. Not to mention that there is a possibility that there are these asymptomatic people still not part of that number. I wouldn't say that thing could go better as early as 2 to 3 weeks and even if it was I still don't think that the league will resume that early, we still might see some restricted movements when that time comes.
1217  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which is Best Trading or Freelancing? on: April 01, 2020, 04:16:41 PM
The truth is that that you cannot make good money with freelancing, the only thing where you can make money is trading but for trading you would need a good revenue and expertise in trading otherwise you will just loose because the good exchanges has high trading fee and it is difficult that you could generate profit.
Nope what you are saying right now doesn't even have a single bit of truth in it. You may view freelancing as something lower than trading but actually a lot of professionals are earning good from it, some of their freelancing activities are even higher paying compared to their day time jobs. I've visited Fiverr personally and I've seen dozens of freelancers having their prices for their services set from 250-500$ just for single service/day and a lot of them already have good reviews for it which is amazing. If you are comfortable with trading then just go for it but there is really no better option here since both requires skill and knowledge in different areas.

I found there that many youtube channels are promoting freelancing but they are just misleading you. Freelancing has no more scope. Do not waste your time by learning anything related to freelancing. Instead learn something about trading.

What scope? If we are only talking about diversity here in freelancing it almost has the same as what the crypto market has to offer with cryptocurrencies. Freelancing jobs offer a lot of varieties ranging from video editing, photoshop, tutoring several lessons, coding, and even gaming lessons which are really surprising to see.
1218  Economy / Economics / Re: Capital preservation and investing during and after the COVID19 crisis on: April 01, 2020, 03:37:53 PM
The author made the article as vague as possible without really touching deeper into his topic.

Keep an eye out for opportunities: Eventually Real estate (Apartments, Farmland), Stocks, Fixed income investments and Distressed Businesses will provide fantastic opportunities for those with the dry powder (you can deploy into these from the stores of value). Just not yet.

This was his whole point in the article when he talked about the "Financial Well-being" of a person and in the views of someone who even knows a little about investing they already know about what he is saying. What they don't know of course is where will these opportunities is the best one to pick which he didn't talked about in the article. Bottomline is I didn't get anything new or learn something new just by reading the article as it lacks content and everything he have said is something I already know.
1219  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin.com is spamming my email on: April 01, 2020, 02:55:16 PM
If they are sending you spam you can use unsubscribe option and move sender to spam folder to avoid receiving any emails from them.
They have low volume and nobody is trading there, and they look desperate  Grin

But the thing is the OP never had signed up to exchange.bitcoin.com and that's what makes me wonder why he is receiving emails for their offers. I only have one know possibility here and that is his email is somehow included to the strings of emails being bought in the market to be included in their forward spam list which is really common to email marketers especially in the crypto industry. Now knowing how they got is email is the question here and maybe it is possible that the user has provided it carelessly in one of those newsletter subscription or created an account on a shady service connected to them.
1220  Other / Meta / Re: Someone infect me, my username is still lame on: April 01, 2020, 02:12:58 PM
I want my username to be infected like the cool kids  Cool Cool

Say no more  Cool

It seems like the the infection is random per username since I can see his username properly until now even if you refresh the page/thread. And from what I notice every time you refresh the page the names who have the "infection" still has it while the "infection" on post changes every time you refresh the page.

Edit:
This was my first post for April 1st and I am officially a carrier (at least on how I view my name in this post)
