1221  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you moniter your daily expences without much attention? on: March 10, 2023, 11:19:07 PM
I have actually always been quite good at money management, it’s just something I do.
It’s not too hard today actually with fiat banking. I have a few bank accounts & they all provide internet banking services so I can see my balances & what I’m spending on easily with my phone or computer if I choose.

I actually have notifications that pop up on my phone when I buy something. Also using Apple Pay is quite easy to follow my spending trail also.
1222  Other / Off-topic / Re: A gift for my future on: March 10, 2023, 10:51:09 PM
Happy belated Birthday to you, Sir.

Good to see you treating yourself both now & for the future. I hope you had a really nice day, that $150 will be worth a lot more when you are an old man.

Today is a special day for me as I'm celebrating my birthday! And as a gift to myself, I decided to invest $150 in Bitcoin.

"Digital money will be powerful enough to change the world in the next 20 years."

Indeed, good to have you on board.
1223  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will (probably) go lower. on: March 10, 2023, 10:31:16 PM
The $ price of 1BTC is currently $20,125. This is the first proper retest of support in & around $20,000.

I think if $20,000 acts as a real support then bears will retreat & we could break $25,000 & start to confirm that the bear market is over. We should know more in the next 2 weeks.
1224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regulations As the Catch 22 on: March 10, 2023, 10:10:12 PM
Regulations in crypto are fine as long as they are fair. I mean the SEC have been scamming us for ages, they say they protect investors. Why won’t they approve a spot bitcoin ETF then? The only people they like to protect are the elites, from competition. They approve futures bitcoin ETF’s but not spot, it’s a scam.

Look what happened with FTX for example, genuine regulations could have stopped that. A proof of reserves regulation for all exchanges could help.
1225  Other / Off-topic / Re: Your health is important! You and your health. on: March 10, 2023, 09:01:02 PM
Some great advice there OP. I agree if you can’t look after your health then you really will have problems. I took up walking when the pandemic started & there was nothing else to do.

I think regular exercise & eating well plus drinking plenty of water is a good starting point for a healthy life.

My advice is not to get too obsessed with calorie counting etc but try your best to eat well, exercise & drink water.

1226  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you know who you are? on: March 10, 2023, 08:19:34 PM
I think I know who I am & what little old me offers the world. I am not a rich man but I am a loving man & I work hard to provide & care for my family. I think in life you need to learn to love yourself before you can be happy & be the best version of yourself possible. I think being happy with yourself & your situation in life is important, I guess that is a big part of knowing who you are & what your role is.
1227  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is kyc verification dangerous? on: March 10, 2023, 07:06:29 PM
If we want to buy our crypto on a safe, well regulated exchange then we have no choice but to send our KYC. I don’t think it’s a bad thing, although I don’t like Coinbase sending customers info to the IRA. That’s one thing I really do not agree with.

I don’t see why people despise KYC so much, all I can think of is they either want to avoid taxes or potentially have dirty cash to launder or even worse they are a more serious criminal. KYC stops fraud & identity thert, in many ways it protects you.

1229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you planning to accumulate for 2025 on: March 08, 2023, 08:51:25 PM
I just plan to continue accumulating bitcoin, ethereum, cardano, shib & maybe a few more if they spike my interest. I think we could still go lower in the entire crypto space so now is a great time to start dollar cost averaging if you haven’t already.

The bitcoin block reward halving is Q2 or Q3 in 2024 so we have plenty of time to continue buying until the fireworks really start.

1230  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Dose drugs have an advantage on human being. on: March 08, 2023, 07:37:05 PM
I can’t recommend anybody to take drugs, addiction can cause devastating effects. Lots of people experiment with drugs when they’re young & if you are the type of person who is strong minded & can leave something after trying it a small number of times then why not, you are only young once.

Addiction destroys lives & families though so if you’re not really strong mentally then I would advise against trying anything even once. Some of the greatest & most respected minds in history took class A drugs, like I said though I can’t advise you to do anything. A bit like one of the big rules in crypto, Do Your Own Research.
1231  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you going to pay $8 a month to Elon Musk? on: March 08, 2023, 05:16:29 PM
Wikipedia defines a tick as "Ticks (order Ixodida) are parasitic arachnids that are part of the mite superorder ". I haven't ever heard Elon Musk described as such a thing. Smiley

UK people call it a Blue Tick, Jet Cash. I think check mark is the more popular, Americanised term but yeah, it’s commonly referred to Blue Tick by people in the UK.

1232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I managed to convince my senior dad to invest in BTC on: March 08, 2023, 03:56:21 PM
Always good to get more people on board with bitcoin. Buying 0.01BTC isn’t going to make him rich but it’s an interesting venture for him to follow.

You got him involved at a good time when we are in a bear market. Would have upset him buying in 2021 & seeing the price go down. We should be somewhere near the bottom now so he can enjoy it going up in 2024 & 2025 .

He will most certainly do better with his money in bitcoin rather than fiat long term. Make sure he knows how to buy more & use cold storage to hold his bitcoin if you know how.

1233  Other / Off-topic / Re: Happy Womens Day to all the womenfolk on BCT on: March 08, 2023, 02:52:14 PM
I don’t think there are too many confirmed women on here. Happy Women's Day to the genuine females on here though, we appreciate everything you do for us. The world can’t run well without good women, both those in business & those who stay home to do the tough but rewarding job of bringing up children.

Some good women to follow in bitcoin -

1234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you guys think that there will be a new technology to recover lost of Bitcoin on: March 08, 2023, 02:18:34 PM
No I don’t think there will be a tech to recover lost bitcoin. If the blockchain was ever able to be rewinded so people could claim lost access to coins then the price would go to $0. There would be scam attempts left, right & center.

Bitcoin is an irreversible ledger designed to be the most secure method of transferring money. There are no refunds & no chargebacks. Look after the access to your coins, don’t expect anybody else to.
1235  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will You Survive The Biden Regime? Liberal Media Ignores Massive Inflation... on: March 08, 2023, 06:15:53 AM
Governments lie, literally all of them do. They don’t care one bit about any of us. All they want is our votes, tgey don’t care about our well being at all. The cost of living crisis doesn’t bother them at all as long as we are able to continue to be good little worker ants & pay our taxes.

Hopefully inflation will go down to 2% or something but I think the standard of living is going to get worse for most people before it gets better. We are going to go into a deep recession, the government just won’t admit it yet..
1236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which cryptocurrency do you prefer the most to accept payments in? on: March 08, 2023, 12:41:30 AM
I have to be honest & say that my favourite cryptocurrency to receive payments in is by far bitcoin. It’s the most established, trustworthy coin. Bitcoin has the most potential to be a mainstream payment tool & it isn’t even close.

Nothing else can match bitcoin, it’s as simple as that. People will try to shill you their bags of other coins & tokens but when it comes down to cold, hard facts nothing compares to bitcoin.
1237  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you going to pay $8 a month to Elon Musk? on: March 08, 2023, 12:27:45 AM
I am certainly not going to pay for a blue tick. I don’t see any positives in having one unless the old way, you are a celebrity or public figure. Any random guy can have a blue tick now & I don’t see anything good that you get for it.

I have actually seen memes of people making fun of dudes who pay for the blue tick. I definitely won’t be getting one.
1238  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Sam Bankman-Fried bribed politicians for favor. on: March 03, 2023, 10:22:14 PM
I was so surprised when I saw everything that happened with FTX. I was sure they were one of the good guys. I know we had MtGox & we’re taught, not your keys not your coins but I just did not see FTX being one of the bad guys.

SBF turned out to be one of the worst fraudsters in financial history. I hope him & his whole team go to jail for a long time. So many people are financially ruined due to their dishonesty & incompetence.
1239  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can you quit your job for a bounty-hunting full time on: March 03, 2023, 10:15:56 PM
I would not advise you to walk away from a guaranteed income, a safe job. Bounty hunting is very unreliable & at worst totally pointless. I think you should probably just find a job you enjoy & work really hard to be the best you can at it. The dream of earning lots of money bounty hunting is likely just that, a dream.
1240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Our thoughts on Solana currently? on: March 03, 2023, 10:07:08 PM
I’ve said previously that I own some Solana, I’m going to keep it because I would hate if it mooned & I’d sold it all.
I just don’t think a coin that has had so many problems, so much downtime can ever truly succeed. Trust is eroded, it must be surely.

I just don’t see how it can ever be seen as a serious investment when they can’t even keep it live. It’s a joke to be honest, I’m just glad I don’t have a larger commitment to the project.
