I'm sorry but I had to move to litecoinpool.org until you can figure out what is wrong. I don't like switching teams in the middle of the game but the 40% average stale rate is killing me. I get <1% there. Just did the same. So far I'm getting maybe 3-4% stales on my well-connected workers, and 6-10% on my bad-internet ones. Sure beats 40%. I'd come back if the situation changes.

Mind if I add you to the received list? Do you want to release how many units? If so, what is your company of origin? If nothing I will create a unknown category.
Once I actually receive it, sure. 1 unit shipped to USA.

I called DHL, and they found mine and gave me the tracking number.
They told me that it's scheduled for Monday delivery, and that it will require a signature.
Tracking page now says "Address information needed; contact DHL". Arrgh. For some reason DHL couldn't find my house. I called them, and I think she confirmed that the package was addressed correctly (I couldn't hear her too well). She did ask me for a contact phone number, so one may not have been provided, though my correct number shows on my Avalon webstore receipt email. Now they say they'll bring it tomorrow, so I gotta spend another day waiting around for them.

I bought all of the above options and more, myself, so as to diversify.

Yeah, if you're not planning for more than 2 cards, a regular desktop case can work fine. Just make sure the board lets you space them out.
|
|
|
A lot of ppl build a frame to hold the cards spaced out a bit so you can get good airflow between them, and use extender cables to connect them to the motherboard. This also lets you use all of the PCIe slots on the board, regardless of their lane width. My first custom-built GPU rig: https://i.imgur.com/nREwxM9.jpgI arranged the cards with 40mm of empty space in between each (same width as the cards themselves). Extenders: http://cablesaurus.com/Don't even think about running the cards crammed up next to each other with no gap in between.

Guys, relax. There won't be much thermal cycling as a typical miner will be on 100% of the time. Unlike a typical PC which is turned on once a day and turned off once a day.
It won't take much either. Just the normal day to night swings will do it. I have seen 100s of thousands of underfilled chips over 10 process generations, many with underfill defects, and none of them looked as bad as these. The black blotch shown on greyhawk's zoom is a scrap part. That is underfill, it will prevent proper cooling and is impossible to sand off without cracking the brittle silicon. Even a few seconds of downtime will cause a huge thermal swing in such a chip. Imagine a pool server that's overloaded, or a flaky internnet connection. Here are some temperature graphs from a couple of my GPU miners. The first one has a better internet connection than the second.

I'm disappointed that there's not a laser-engraved holographic BFL logo on the face.
Steve Jobs would not approve.

PS: this is the last time for anyone. any inquire CAN NOT let you to get your Avalon any faster but cost me at lest 1% everyday sleeping time. here is a man who lack of sleep for 2 months. You have the "problem" of having too many orders. Don't be greedy and hire someone short term to help with the secretarial work, it will pay off massively and you will sleep better. You won't have a shortage of work any time soon. Don't waste the opportunity to ship faster, because this market won't last forever.+ ( 300 + 600 ) Lacking sleep for 2 months is not good. You can buy back your sleep for not too much money, and do better business at the same time.

When do you expect the 2013 10 BTC silver coin with the gold electroplating to become available?
(My apologies if the answer is somewhere earlier in the thread. I only went back a few pages.)

https://www.casascius.com/Casascius is sold out, and I'm looking to buy a 2012 with the gold electroplating. I'm offering 13.5 BTC for one, shipped to me in the US. PM me.

Having the tracking number, I can know what day it's coming, and take the day off from work so I can be here to sign for it (DHL told me that it will require a signature). Otherwise they would leave a nondelivery notice and I would have to wait until the next day for them to try again (and take that day off from work on short notice).
Or worse, they might leave the notices at my neighbors' house day after day, and I would never see them. I have had that happen with DHL before. Fortunately I had the tracking number that time so I could see this happening, and I called them and told them which house was mine.

Hey guys, just got a batch of tracking numbers, going to send out emails through out the day today.
Which orders have been shipped? Does anyone have tracking numbers? I don't think they're providing tracking numbers. But at least a few people in the US have received units, which is even better than tracking numbers. I called DHL, and they found mine and gave me the tracking number. I specified that it shipped from Hong Kong, and that it was shipped within the last 3 days. They told me that it's scheduled for Monday delivery, and that it will require a signature. https://i.imgur.com/v2HKyMM.png

In theory, I will have an Avalon in-hand next week.
If it were purely a business decision, I might offer to sell it the same day for $25,000.
But emotionally, I really want my Avalon. I don't want to just sell it right away for fiat. I took the gamble of ordering it almost 6 months ago, and paid 114 BTC for it. To sell it now for sure and easy money would be a cop-out.

Hey guys, just got a batch of tracking numbers, going to send out emails through out the day today. I've heard nothing either. My order was placed 23 minutes after Keefe's, number 20000017x, so I expect I'm not too far behind him in the queue. I'm also in the US. I sure wish I could login to the avalon webstore and see the status of my order, and maybe tracking information, but alas the link 404s anymore. http://shop.avalon-asic.com/customer/account/I can tell you it's shipped as your tracking info was on the list, so is Keefe for that matter. Woohoo! Thank you for the confirmation! No email yet, but I haz some more patience. I plan to take the day off when it's scheduled to arrive, so I'll be sure to be home to receive it (I imagine it may require a signature.) Still no tracking number received. I hope I get it before I find a notice on my door one day saying that DHL came by and no one was home, or worse, they leave the notice on my neighbor's door and I never know.

Go grab some 3/4 x 1" stakes at the hardware store, some wood glue, masking tape, and two scraps of plywood. Find some black paint in the free section of craigslist.
Chill a six pack of beer and grab a hand saw.
Just wood glue? No screws to hold it together? I built mine out of angle aluminum. Cut it with a chopsaw, and drilled and screwed it together. It came out pretty nice, though a little big (600 x 480 x 240 mm). Some ppl use pop rivets. That probably would have been easier than the machine screws/nuts/washers/lockwashers I used.

Even 16 BTC is very good.
Their trade-in value is only $599, and you still have to pay to ship it to trade it in. There's also the June 1 trade-in deadline...
June 1 trade-in deadline? Have to look that up, if so, I should probably first upgrade my old FPGA singles before buying new "old" FPGA singles. It's not easy to find. Here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=137159.msg1463261#msg1463261
