Always nice to see more vendors for crypto-currencies. Welcome to the forum!

Good luck with your issue. I have never traded there, but the horror stories around here indicate that they can be a real hassle to deal with.

A little push into the asks past 1100, and then a little push back:

Glad to see more and more faucets. I'm sure all the newbies appreciate it!

Agreed, most altcoins are pump-and-dump schemes, and by the time you find out about the coin, the dump has already happened and the coin will go nowhere.

I think it will certainly hit $300 eventually, but I'm not sure it will in this latest rally. I think we may have seen the top, and that we are due for a corrective wave downward and consolidation before we rocket up to new heights.

Hi MikeXBT, welcome to the community here at bitcointalk! Curious, you mention using other forums -- what forums have you used?

I have a single 7950 card in my gaming rig, and can only mine occasionally. Do you guys think its more profitable to mine, or to just do faucets every day?
Also, do you guys get a lot of payout from faucets? I'm kind of wary because I've been doing them for a few days and haven't gotten any payouts yet.
Thanks!
I don't know how efficient 7950s are, any idea? Maybe put it to use mining litecoin, or some other altcoins? I have to think that could be more lucrative than faucet, which are hard to eek much from.

I feel awful for all the people who got duped into buying into BFL. At least it served as a spectacular warning to everyone of the dangers of pre-ordering mining equipment.

Seems like DPR made mistakes from the start. I never visited silk road. I had heard about it, but didn't think it would be around for too long. Selling drugs will get you put in jail, no matter how you do it.
I don't necessarily agree with that. But I do think using (and certainly running) a centralized marketplace using distributed servers was a recipe for disaster -- and I would be worried if I had been a seller on SR.

I've checked it out, good work so far. Good luck with your future in web design!

In my twenties. Heard about bitcoin in 2009-2010 in libertarian circles and was surprised in 2011 to see it had taken off so much. Been on this ride ever since then, sometime in 2011.

Still trading, but this market is scary! At least I have more coins now than I did at the top of this latest rally. Got a handful in cold storage for $10k bitcoins.

I had thought there was a very good chance they had access to these coins. Too bad for DPR.

I think after some consolidation at this level we will head downwards a bit. A nice, healthy corrective wave down to the 130-150 range would do it.

Starting to? Didn't Paypal crack down on this quite a long time ago? Dwolla just shut the door, too. Didn't hear about Square. Doesn't surprise me, though.

never could understand people who sell at the low point of a crash. Pure madness I assume it's because the low point can only be seen after the fact, and they believe it will go much lower....

I trade there. The walls are usually fake, but sometimes, they get market ordered through before they can be pulled. That's fun to watch. Seen it happen several times the past couple days. Does seem a bit high though. 25k wouldn't have surprised me, though.

So what happens if the Feds sell the Bitcoins to J.P. Morgan and they used them for manipulating the Bitcoin markets just like they manipulate the gold and silver markets.
Could this spell the end of Bitcoin?
Just the end of the beginning. I don't usually write in speculation forum, but here's what I have to say. Guess: DPR will face a difficult trial. Most likely, it will take at least 12 months to get a verdict, assuming he's not gonna plea guilty. Fact: FBI HAS some +170k coins . Valued at about 30 mil USD, they cannot sell them on eBay/MtGox/Bitcoinica. They can keep them (they can invoke some reasons for that) or auction them AFTER the trial. The problem is, while BTC rises in value, the US Govt gets a fuckin' ton of BTC (money is not important). But power it is. Legally, I see no reason why they can't file for civil forfeiture in parallel to the criminal case. In which case, they don't need to wait to auction them off. Unless of course, Ulbricht can prove an innocent owner defense.

Not proper timescales to take much from, but still, kind of hoped for a breakout here: China, 1000 CNY must hold!
