They don't care about BTC and its success, they only want to generate huge green candles, and they can do that with DOGE. It's a symbolic move for them. Which goes to show that coins like DOGE are like rolling a dice and hoping a GME event will happen to pump it. It's pure luck, and the motivation of holding it is hoping for a mega-pump, then sell and run. They don't give a rat's ass about DOGE.

Not interested in buying GME, but it's so interesting to see the drama unfold. Are we all plugged into a Matrix universe? Have we all taken the BLUE pill? More importantly, is Bitcoin the RED pill?

It must be so sad and depressing to be CSW... He has benefited so much from Bitcoin, he has so much money he can do anything he wants, and yet he is consumed by hatred, envy and bitterness, suing anyone and everyone who opposes his absurd claims, wasting time and energy supporting BSV and other pointless projects that will soon be forgotten.

He must be a deeply unhappy and unlikable person. I'd rather be a beggar on the street than be him.

I don't know how much fiat you have invested and when, but I don't feel stressed at all when I see that the value of my Bitcoin stash is now 14.7 times the value of the fiat I used to buy it. My "loss" threshold is very low, around $1800. Any price above that leads to a profit for me. I guess that's the benefit of being a (somewhat) early adopter. Still, no one likes the price to fall, since profit does not necessarily lead to "fuck you" rich status, and many of us still need to wait for a while until we reach that level. My guess is that this will happen quite soon for some of us, even as early as this year, or the next at the latest. Others (is it Octopussies?) may need to wait a bit longer, but it's still doable. Just HoDL.

Not your keys, not your Bitcoin.

Bitcoin investment companies (like Grayscale) are good for Bitcoin, but not suitable for those who are Bitcoin-literate enough to really own their coins (that's us). Why would any one of us use their services, when we are perfectly capable of actually owning (a.k.a. holding the keys to) Bitcoin and being our own bank? These companies can help the Bitcoin-illiterate investors have some skin in the game and reap some of the profits. All the better for everyone (and our keys are secure, while we reap all the profits). Win-win.

It depends on whom you're saying it to, and how they have previously responded to your advice. I'm an extremely polite person, and would rarely say anything offensive to anyone, even if they deserved it. But I can tell you that the few I've said this phrase to, in relation to my Bitcoin comments and advice, fully deserved it.

Risking my OPSEC, but here goes...

Friday @ work. On our break, chatting with colleagues. At one point, one of them says to me, in front of everyone: "you should be careful, protect yourself, now that you're rich." I just ignored the comment. A few seconds later, another colleague stands up, and says this loudly to everyone. "You are all fucking stupid! The guy told us all to buy Bitcoin in 2017, and we made fun of him. We laughed at him. We ignored his advice. Now, go back to your desks. You are all stupid, and I am stupid too."

Man, that was a satisfying comment. It was all true. I told them all about Bitcoin, and they did exactly what the guy said. And now they're all getting close to me and indirectly asking me for advice. I could have said to all of them "have fun staying poor". I didn't, although they fully deserve it. So, this phrase has its place, it all depends on the circumstances.

New development and innovation will be added to the existing Bitcoin network backbone as 2nd-layer add-ons (LN is one such example and there are, and will be, others). Bitcoin is currently a huge decentralized network, the size of which the world has never seen before. It is by far the fastest computational entity currently in existence on earth. This achievement is not easy to replicate. Apart from its vast size, it possesses features no other network of its kind possesses. Bitcoin is decentralized, trustless, immutable, borderless, scalable, super-hardened, super-robust, deflationary, scarce, not owned by any specific entity. It's all of the above and more. All at the same time. These are not blockchain properties, they are Bitcoin properties.

Just as new, innovative internet technologies are added on top of the tried, tested and robust TCP/IP layer, so will new, innovative technologies be added on top of the Bitcoin network backbone. There's no need to reinvent the wheel when the wheel is the optimal strategy. There are 100s of car brands, but their products all use wheels, because anything else is sub-optimal. Bitcoin is the "wheel" of the digital monetary revolution, and it will be used for decades to come. We, as Bitcoin HoDLers, are now tapping on the fundamental building block of a monetary instrument that will shake the foundations of the world's financial and wealth infrastructure. The avalanche has started, it's getting bigger, and it's unstoppable.

If anyone thinks an altcoin can easily replace all of the above, he is deluded. It's just a matter of time. You can either understand the tech, realise its potential and embrace it, or wait until you are forced to do so. It's up to you.

There's generally no real development in the vast majority of shitcoins. Only scammers who are looking for opportunities to get rich by tricking others into giving their fiat to buy their shitcoins. This has happened far too many times to ignore, and is still happening. You don't need to know much, just visit their websites and read the info in there. With just a little bit of experience and intuition, you'll be able to see through them.

It's good that he finally saw sense, albeit 7 years later. Just imagine the profits he could have made, if he was smart enough to buy in 2013 (or 2014, or 2015, or...).

That's right. Charts with random lines are the best, because the chances of getting it right is maximized by the randomness. If you try to apply any TA on them, the probability of getting it right quickly diminishes to zero.
