1601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: UBICOIN----- SON OF YOUR FATHER BITCOIN on: May 31, 2020, 12:41:49 AM
Can someone look into this team .. coin ?!
I`m never wrong .. i`m not the best in this shit, but i can type "SCAM"

The title alone will give you a hint on what to expect here. Just another crap coin, don't let yourself deceive about their tagline of being the son of your father bitcoin? In what sense?
1602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Probit Exchange IEO Based Bounties Should Join ? on: May 29, 2020, 05:01:28 AM
If you have a lot of free time and no work then it is better to participate in the bounty even though many say Probit Exchange is a bad exchange with many failed projects so it is not wrong to try there, Bounty Detetective certainly has chosen the project with the choice they themselves so that they themselves are confident in the project being managed.

But I think more joining Content, Video, Signature, of course, with substantial rewards compared to social media.

Actually, it really depends on the bounty hunter whether he wants to join or not as it is not compulsory to participate. If he sees that the project is promising and has the potential to earn something, then it is his prerogative to join and will be up to the BM if he will accept him or not. What I am trying to say here, is that it depends on the user if he will join or not, he should not blame anyone if in case the result is not according to his expectations.
1603  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] RED BOX - suspicious fintech platforms with unrealistic claims on: May 27, 2020, 11:16:45 PM
Wow 4 steps to become a millionaire with redbox trading platform! They are really deceiving users here. Guess, they will be the only ones earning money from those gullible traders. I don't think their thread will go far with the negative trust acquired by the dev.
1604  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Share your stategy how to grow bitcoin on: May 22, 2020, 11:20:07 PM
The strategy that I use and I have always applied until now is to trade. Trade does have a high risk if you do not have the knowledge of analysis and trade fundamentals.
I am able to generate and grow my Bitcoin by trading Bitcoin on Altcoin and Fiat Pair.

And for the second way is to do Holding, buy bitcoin at low prices and then hold it until the time period you specify, then sell it at high prices.

But all of these strategies require patience and perseverance in order to get satisfying results.

Same here. Growing bitcoin will take a lot of patience and hard work because you have to observe the market trend. But being a trader, there are some things you need to know before you even begin to trade in crypto. As the market changes very fast, you need to learn how to trade short term. But one simple rule in trading that you will always follow is - buy low, sell high. As long as you do that, you are in profit even if it is small. But this will take a lot of hard work, and you should be ready for it.
1605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Doom of the Stablecoin Industry? on: May 21, 2020, 11:23:08 PM
It doesn´t mean anything until it happens, we read news almost everyday that crypto should be banned, regulated, but the reality? Nobody cares, I am here for pretty long time and I don´t see anything what goverments have done against cryptocurrencies.  Wink Cool

Exactly. At least, the heavy regulation or ban of stablecoins is just a proposal by central banks worldwide. The final decision will lie in governments themselves. So far, it's been nothing but "talks" without concrete actions whatsoever. I believe that no one cares, since the crypto economy is still smaller than the global mainstream economy. Rest assured, that once crypto becomes a serious threat to the existence of Fiat, governments will do anything to try to stop it. While they may succeed in cracking down on exchanges, they'll never be able to prevent people from using crypto as an alternative to the existing monetary system.

Centralized stablecoins might see their demise in the long run if they're unable to comply with regulations from governments worldwide. But decentralized stablecoins will live longer because they're entirely governed by the Blockchain. Centralized stablecoin issuers are the ones that need to be worried as they could face fines from the government. The average person can simply switch to another centralized or even decentralized stablecoin if one of them fails. While the demise of centralized stablecoins could affect the crypto market in the short term, decentralized ones might take the lead in recovering the same at its fullest. Just my thoughts Grin

That is so true. I don't think the government or banks can dictate the fate of those decentralized stablecoins. However, the lifespan of those centralized stablecoins will not easily vanished as they can't be ban easily. They need to undergo a lot of talks, hearings and discussions because a government can totally terminate its presence. And I don't think that will happen very easily. They might end up utilizing stablecoins once they fully understand the benefits of using stablecoins.
1606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance is a good exchange but don't expect forever surge on: May 21, 2020, 07:49:19 AM
Exchanges should be platforms that are used for cryptocurrency trading, not for participating in moonshots and planned pump and dumps—that's exactly what IEOs are (for the most part).

I am 100% sure that CZ knows that the projects listed on the launchpad are likely to spike to above their IEO price, and I wouldn't be surprised if Binance and/or the listed projects hire a huge number of liquidity providers to help drive up the trading volumes on the IEO tokens to help them grow.

However, it has worked every time so far, so the investors don't really get burned, whereas the traders investing in the days and weeks after listing often do. Either way, I still use Binance for the majority of my trades, but I'm not a fan of its IEO platform or pump tactics.

Pump tactics I believe is happening everywhere, not only in Binance. But one advantage with BNB is that they are reputable exchange, and with that, they will only accept projects that are really substantial and have good foundation. The reason why only few projects are listed under their IEO launchpad. However, if you are an investor, you should not rely your fate to BNB's way of selecting projects, but you also have to do your own due diligence. Gauge if that project is really something that will hit in the market. Even projects with great concept and solid foundation don't attract good number of users so you should meticulously study their potential in the market that will give you an idea if you will be in profit or not.
1607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: List of bounty projects that end in a scam or void bounty agreement on: May 20, 2020, 11:41:50 PM
It's totally useless if we just keep creating list of scam bounties rather than sharing tips and idea on how to recognize one. It won't be bad if you can help list some bounties with potentials.
No, we can take many lessons from here. The list made by the OP and a number of other additional campaigns written by the members above teach us that there are lots of scams. They commit fraud in various modes. Some delay the listing, some lock the reward, some just give an appointment and then disappear, etc. We can make these modes so that we are better prepared to face risks. Even though it looks easy, being a bounty hunter requires struggle.

Aside from that, we will see how those crap projects were introduced in the crypto community. Though the list will not give us much significance but if you will browse each project that turned out to be scam, you will get the idea how those scammers screwed their investors. They are in various forms, so in the future, you will get the idea how to spot a potential scam or crap project because you already did encounter such style. So giving the list is really not bad at all.
1608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Levitate Coin - LVT on: May 20, 2020, 10:48:30 PM
Hello Levitate (LVT) Supporters,

My apologies for the long radiosilence. I hope you are all doing well.
Unfortunately The Levitate Team fell apart about 4 months ago.
The Levitate website, blockexplorer and all promotional websites have gone offline.

During these last months I didn't have the time to try to revive Levitate,
but during the last weeks there was,
and today I managed to get the Levitate blockchain up and running again.

I will continue to support Levitate personally as it is a nice project.
Maybe if there are more of us willing to support Levitate out of enthusiasm,
we can revive Levitate (LVT) as a community driven project.
You are welcome to share your thoughts and insights,
cheers.

This is a good new! I'd wish to have some time to learn the code...waiting for some news!
Is there a preferite channel to get update? Here, Discord...else?

Just wondering how many team members were working before? Because it seemed one to 2 individuals were just working before, maybe aside from Digithusiast. But anyway, we don't know the reason why some of them decided to leave this project. I hope this revival will last long this time. But being a community driven project, the development is usually slow, unless someone wants to invest his time and resources to accomplish the goals without waiting anything in return.
1609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ✅[ANN][HY] hybrix 🌍 One token on ALL blockchains 🌍 Frictionless Beaming on: May 20, 2020, 10:37:32 AM
hybrix is mentioned by yahoo finance as an antidote to the lack of interoperability in crypto
"Hybrix offers an easy to use, open source, 2nd layer solution to implement true interoperability"
--> https://finance.yahoo.com/news/stablecoins-might-key-unlocking-transactional-162013909.html

I hope many crypto users will find this platform useful for them. Serving a lot of blockchain networks, this will really be like a one-stop-shop for all your altcoins created in various networks. 32 blockchains is really not bad at all. But where can we see the feedback of those hybrix wallet users so we know what are the possible issues that a user may encounter upon using their wallet?
1610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is holding blockchain/crypto technology back? on: May 19, 2020, 11:13:51 PM
It still feels like crypto and blockchain are lagging behind, honestly I expect this technology to have grown better, what and what do you think is holding this technology back?

Too much scams, ponzi schemes, and scammers in the ecosystem, like the Faketoshi.
Definitely, those people are holding bitcoin back, as they are bad for bitcoin image.

Those bunch of useless people just looking for a easy money and quick rich scheme are also bad, as this has nothing to do with blobkchain technology or even bitcoin itself.

However, I think that bitcoin is not hold back, its adoption is growing. But maybe Bitcoin adoption will not be exactly what people expect.I believe bitcoin will be much more a reserve of value than used to by a coffee in starbucks.

As a reserve of value, people will be able to move money without boarders and protect people from developing countries against inflation and irresponsible governments.

I do agree with this. Those scams, hacks, ponzi schemes and highlighted by media made some negative impact on noncrypto users. But crypto adoption is still growing because those noncrypto users who educated themselves regarding the nature of crypto learned that crypto is not all about those negative things. A lot of benefits can be derived from using crypto if properly utilized. So it is only a matter of time to convert other non crypto users and see the true benefits of crypto or blockchain technology.
1611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TOURIVA on: May 19, 2020, 09:48:25 PM
Announcement!

We are about to launch our new look home information page.

-
Check with us soon to see it!

Waiting to see what's the new development here. Most travel-related projects here didn't take off to what they wanted to achieve. So even if this project seemed to move slow, at least I think this will gonna go. If those 300 users will be active in using your platform, that's a start already. You just need to collaborate with more people that are willing to include their place to your listing or hotels and accommodations that want to be part of this project. But I think you need to reach out those establishments, they will not come to you as they don't know your presence in the market.
1612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥 [ANN] Minter. The Internet of Money (TON & Libra will be integrated) on: May 18, 2020, 11:32:38 PM
...
My question is: what are the advantages of this project over similar "giants" (Tron, Ether, etc.)?

Hmmm, to answer your question, I need to write a few articles. Grin
But in short, Minter uses the consensus algorithm DPoS – Delegated-Proof-of-Stake.
Thus, it is very easy to get new coins and it does not require electricity.

Wow semms good project. Im looking for new crypto project, and this project seems pretty good to me, I'll join you on discord

see you soon.

Perhaps Minter has no Discord.  Roll Eyes
Join our channels and groups in Telegram.
Naturally, the pos algorithm is very important in today's time. Minter, therefore, is famous for, one hundred is based on this kind of algorithm, receiving rewards, from storing a coin, it does not matter whether it is a Bip or another coin. Very soon, the Ethereum blockchain will pass, not to mention Minter, which gives a plus to the profit from storing coins.

I am curious if there are a lot of crypto users that are familiar or are using now the Minter? It says there are about 1326 coins created, is that number updated? And regarding your current price, how are you going to increase its value in the market, bitcoin already rise up after the pandemic downfall, but you haven't recovered from it yet?
1613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The list of bounty projects that end in a scam on: May 17, 2020, 11:19:02 PM
because this is a lesson for all of us as bounty hunters ...
I don't understand what lessons you are trying to pass to hunters by having a list of failed bounties because it isn't going to help in any way.
Bounties like Freldo, STiB, Depository are what I can remember for now and it will be an unending list if we are to continue.

Advise to hunters is that they should be careful in selecting bounties and it's not every bounties that you come across that's worth signing up or participating.

^I agree. There is no use of making lists about the list of bounties scammed. Instead you should have made some list of advices, some red flags/signs of a failed bounty and ask others to put some more advices coming out from their experience. First one I would like to add is to always try to participate in bounties managed by competent managers. As long as you are participating in bounties managed by such managers, there are very less chances of getting scammed.

Agree! If you joined a campaign managed by known bounty managers here and usually they are btc paying campaigns, you are at least safe and your effort will be paid. But if you decided to participate in coin or token paying campaigns, it is your responsibility to do the assessment if they will really pay and if they will really have value in the market. Listing all those scam projects will not have significance if people are continuously joining campaigns. And the fact that they are a lot, it will take so much effort to list all of them for nothing.
1614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Enough of bounty scam, you can help to stop it too. on: May 16, 2020, 09:47:23 PM
Bounty scams seem to be never ending especially in the period of last 2 years very few bounties have paid any decent reward, i agree with most of the points that you have posted but it all comes to team intentions in the end i have seen even some successful projects that refuse to pay or cut the bounty rewards for hunters after the end of campaign which is not only unethical but also illegal.

There are actually seemingly decent projects that turned up screwing its bounty hunters, like delaying the distribution or not paying their rewards as initially agreed, or making a lot of excuses not to send the rewards or suddenly stopping the bounty program and leaving its hunters hanging. So if you are a bounty hunter, you should do your own due diligence and be ready for the worst to come. Don't rely on others as most of them don't care about what will happen to a certain project.
1615  Economy / Economics / Re: Rebooting the World after the COVID-19 Shutdown on: May 15, 2020, 11:31:55 PM
Or it could be new way of living. The government isn't really announcing anything about vaccines or cure for this and its not what they use to do. Normally when its about virus to CDC and all are going to make some interesting points for the cure but this time they are very silent about all these. To which I think we are going to stay this way even if vaccines exist already.

Locking down cities is just great for governments, easy to see criminals, easy to monitor everyone. So why should the government switch back to what it was back then?

You are nuts and that is nothing more than your own imagination. Most country has restart everything however with some safety protocol such as wearing masks in your daily life. The whole lockdown stuff wont be used anymore and this is just the new beginning for everyone else.

Government cant keep their country on whole lockdown forever because people need to work and do stuff to get some money for their daily necessities and TO PAY TAXES. The government wont be able to feed you forever during the lockdown for sure, no country could.

I don't know if he was just being sarcastic about it or not. But definitely, we can't be this forever. Once the potent medicine is identified to cure the infected even if the vaccine is not developed, I think, we will have more actions going on. It is just that health authorities can't identify the most effective medicines as they are still in trial for various medicines. But of course after lockdown, the new norm maybe practice social distancing and use of face mask. I think that will not go away for long time.
1616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ✅[ANN]CONNECT BUSINESS NETWORK - BLOCKCHAIN FOR BUSINESS. on: May 15, 2020, 10:07:12 PM
If you are going to focus your applications as secure payment network, did you talk to at least several shops to include your coin as part of their payment method? Those shops will not come to you but you should introduce this project to them.
1617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some People Cannot Stop The Urge To Sports Betting And Gamble Even In Pandemic on: May 13, 2020, 11:07:51 PM
I heard from my Mom that some of our neighbors who received financial support from the government were used to buy alcoholic beverages and gamble instead of using it as an emergency fund during the pandemic. Gambling addicts lose their sense of responsibility, as mentioned by some people the worse case scenario would be for some people sell organs to black market to satisfy their greed.

That's very sad to hear. I guess their families are unhappy about it. But sometimes, addicted gamblers will follow their desires at the expense of the needs of his family. I really hope those kind of gamblers realized what they are doing and take care of what is needed. Don't wait for something worse to happen before you regret your actions.
1618  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think that the price of bitcoin can come down to below? on: May 09, 2020, 10:19:04 PM
I think the price will go down a bit after Halving,
Nothing is certain about the price of bitcoin even though we can analyze it well. There is still a possibility that the price of bitcoin will break the support level after being halving based on the results of your analysis and there is also a possibility that the price may surpass resistance or breakout and continue to gore.

It all depends on market demand and if this halving momentum is only used as a place to look for profit then I think daily traders or seasonal investors will immediately release their assets after halving the events which will impact on the falling prices.

Everything is possible but I hope it will not go below what the OP was saying. I guess we already surpassed that level a long time ago. Let's see what significant events will happen to crypto  to support the increase of bitcoin other than this halving event.
1619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency TV series appearance on: May 07, 2020, 10:12:02 PM
This is one odd sounding movie/television show but personally I think any publicity is good publicity for bitcoin at this point.  ( a good example is wikileaks and silk road.  Satoshi was not happy about bitcoins connection with wikileaks but it did up bringing a whole lot of attention to bitcoin.  Same goes for silk road.  Sure an online drug emporium isn't a great look for bitcoin, but some argue if it had never happened, bitcoin may not be anywhere close to where it is today).

I wish there was a way those of us outside of S Korea could watch it?

Seems that it is hard to get that movie. And it would be hard to watch if there's no English subtitle. But anyway, if SKoreans will watch it, they may have idea what crypto is especially those who are still non crypto users. I guess it is good on crypto, raise awareness about its existence.
1620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the cure of COVID or CBDC BOOST BITCOINs price this year 2020 on: May 05, 2020, 11:06:53 AM
The cure covid-19 will not only boost BITCOIN but also each and every currency and economy in world. The world is at halt no income or revenue for the government.Countries like america are facing economic issues which sums up the current situation of the world.Vaccine of Covid-19 means life becomes normal gain, opening of the markets and cash flow which will ignite each market of every category.
hope for the best.

Definitely, cure or vaccine will give a different boost in the economy around the globe. And that will also have a positive impact on crypto esp bitcoin. Because of this pandemic, I am guessing a lot of people have looked into crypto, and that after this crisis, some of them will be converted as crypto users. With more demand, it means it will have certain effect on the market's price.
