well as we see there is always going to be a retracement/consolidation after big gains, thats normal market activity. The word "correction" implies something is over valued. Since this is a store of value coin the open market will determine value just like BTC and DASH. When it hit $6 the first time it settled around $3.. hit $8 this time and I think its going to settle around $5.80 .. I still think it will go to $12 in December and settle around $8-$9.. has huge volume, getting well known now and only 20 mil coins circulating
So far, pretty accurate predictions $5,7 and below 60k sats now. Im ready to buy now! But will keep watching the price some more. Lets see what happens!

ICO was 0.00230755 BTC. You will see soon why price growing so fast, patience my friend, patience Thanks for the info on the ICO price, but why cant you share your wisdom why the price is flying? Or do you have secret insidernews that you wont share before it will happen?

I definitely see some altcoins overcoming Bitcoin in the future. Bitcoin blockchain is too slow and is too costly for mainstream adoption. There are some alts that provide better solutions for mass adoption, but these have to prove themselves effectively and this will take time.

I think the idea of particl is really good, hopefully the decentralized peer to peer marketplace will be adopted widely and the team can implement that is planned, definitelly keep that one on my watch! Looking forward to the beta marketplace in q1 2018!

I have been looking at the spreadsheet a different number of days now but it doesn't seem to update the number of posts I made, like at all... Only 28 posts but I have made far more posts (containing enough characters to qualify I mean).
Question about the signature-bounties. Every how much time does the spreadsheet get updated since I have made numerous posts but only 28 of them show up, and I have been checking daily now for about 4 days. I asked the question in telegram but they refer me back to the bitcointalkthread. Look at the rule n° 4 4: Must wear the signature and avatar at all time you have not the Envion avatar The rules say that the posts will be counted at the end of the campaign, but every now and then the posts get counted. But not scheduled. You can rest assured that the bounty team will count all posts at the end of the campaign which is 31.12.2017. Dont worry. As for the avatar: only full members and above are able to wear an avatar, so the way he wears his signature is correct as far as I can tell.

I buy into power when it was pumping, i thought it would take awhile before correction set in, obviously i was wrong, now i watch my portfolio decrease by the hour, just hate buying into hype, anyways power is solid, holding for long.
I feel you mate, I also bought the peak and now my POWR investment is almost worth half of what it was when I bought in (Bitcoinwise). Hodling will pay off in the end, I dont see POWR dumping a lot more.

Lets agree to disagree here. Im still not convinced that ALL crypto is legal payment, if this would be the case, than the public articles about that topic would state this too, and not only mention BTC. But maybe I will find a japanese friend that can confirm what you told me. But your point is indeed true, Mona got a huge upside potential, BTC suffers in regard to transaction cost and speed, about NEM I cant say much. Do you know how many transactions Mona can handle per second?
It's 1.5 minutes blocks and segwit is locked in. They will launch Lightning Networks when ready. Tech wise, it's a solid coin. So is the investment case. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDkGGf5n9UoThanks for the informations friend, sounds solid. I will dive deeper and look for an entry point. Glad that I found out about this coin before its too late!

That is a really interesting project right here. Team seems legit too. I will definitely keep monitoring this one. All the good for your upcoming ICO!

When will this bounty company end? how many weeks are left?
As far as I know from speaking with Sergej, the Bounty campaign for Alloy is being paused, but it will be continued at some point. But there was no exact date as far as I know.

I invested on Minexcoin during the ICO, I participated in the bounty campaign of MinexCoin and invested about $1.8K on it when it was at $10 though my original plan was purchasing them at $1 on the 1st of November (unfortunately couldn't get the funds to do so by then ). Although, still been parking my coins and I couldn't be happier, already at 2.5x and I can see it getting higher. Good on you! Congratulations, hodling always pays off! Two questions: what was the ICO price again? Can someone explain why there is such a huge rise now? And why is Minex expected to reach 35 or more in the coming days? Read some comments that stated that. Any reason why it should take off like this now? Besides of hype.

I wait for QSP to go dip back at least to ICO price until I buy some, unfortunately I missed the whitelisting. But Im not willing to buy at this price, moreover with T1 having 100% bonus, nah, no way.

We need POWR to gain traction again this week! Its now dipping more and more and Im almost 50% down on my initial investment on it. But I keep hodling on! Go POWR!

You dont get my point here. Japan accepted Bitcoin and not all crypto currencies as legal payment method. The article you linked also states exactly what I said. Quote: Japan announced on Friday that bitcoin would be accepted as a legal payment method beginning on April 1, 2017. Not all crypto currencies in general. Also not Mona as far as I can tell, therefore I asked this question in the first place. If Japan would give Mona the same status as Bitcoin already has there, it would likely have a huge effect on its price. As it was the case with BTC. As I can see from the other link you provided, its already being adopted from more and more merchants, this is certainly a step towards this, there is only the official announcement of it missing.

it is a decentralised market place with no single point of accountability. Yes if you are a user selling stuff you shouldnt you are accountable and if traced you could be fined or punished according to the country you live in.
I don't see how this is an issue. If you do something illegal and get busted thats the risk you take.
Bitbay i think can already run through tor so if they wish to try and hide they can but thats their call.
Dark markets for all things will always exist in some form or other you can never stop them.
Bitbay is aiming at a legitimate market place (but to me that is one tiny use case for bitbay)
This has been covered before in several posts. We ask users not to do that (despite the fact that they do so at their own risk). Doing so prevents commercialization of the powerful ideas it portrays. Despite it being decentralized it is somewhat self-moderated. There is a mod key which is shared among dedicated noble users, anyone can use that key. It's not censored per se (no more than one could censor Bitcoin or uTorrent) but it's more of a fail safe because we can't anticipate the future or what will be requested of whoever is coding this at whatever given moment. If something is on the markets that shouldn't be there is brought to the attention of the community it would probably get removed although it's a volunteer system and the team or investors shouldn't be expected to be responsible because indeed it is peer to peer (how can anyone possible moderate the entire internet). So yeah in our disclaimer, we tell people it's simply a protocol that is peer to peer, we don't encourage anything that would get anyone hurt and hope to see the concepts of decentralization become popularized. Just like on uTorrent, if you share an illegal torrent it's the person sharing that gets in trouble not the programmers since they don't endorse that, they simply make peer to peer software. Also Bitmessage requires a little bit of proof of work, so spamming it is not easy.
Thanks a lot for those reasonable answers guys, helped me a lot. That cleared it up. First of all I am not aiming at doing anything illegal on BitBay, the question was rather meant in means of: will people that do stuff that is illegal in their legislation, but should not be in a free market, will be easily be trackable by their governments or not. I am not pro with those things and have no knowledge about Tor, VPN, staying anonymous in the net etc, but I also believe that its certain that those dark markets will exist in some form in any way. So I understood that BitBay will be a legit, boundary free marketplace, with a strong community that keeps an eye out for illicit things. I love the idea of the mod key! Can you, cryptohunter, tell me what other use cases you see in BitBay as the marketplace is only a tiny one for you?

Indeed, fiat exchangability can is a huge factor, that one should not underestimate. As far as I know Bitcoin is a legal means of payment now in Japan, so what do you think, will Mona also be granted that status, as its origininating from Japan? If so, this would be a huge driving factor for it too.
MONA is legal in Japan like all cryptos !!! Wake up ! Crypto is legal in most countries, but being legal is one thing, acceptance as a means of payment is another thing. If merchants or service providers are forced by law to include crypto as a payment method there is a big difference to crypto just being legal. As far as I know this is only the case with Bitcoin in japan. But maybe you can provide me with some link that proves me wrong.

There are 21 MIllion bitcoins that can ever be mined. Out of the 21 Million bitcoins 16.4 million bitcoins have already been mined and only 5.6 million bitcoins are left. With the increasing demand and shrinking availability, the price will keep on rising.
Can be true, but doesnt have to be. Nobody knows if the demand will keep growing as it has this year. Maybe we will see another currency take over Bitcoin in 2018. That would make bitcoins price fall again, no matter the scarcity of it.

Can i anybody put me through the basics of knowing when to sell and when to hold?... I actually don't know much about market rise in demand and supply and it's affecting me in daily trade of cryptocurrency.
I always go by doing the opposit the mainstream media suggests. If Television and mainstream articles talk about bitcoin crashing, I buy, if they are quite and not talking about price rising of Bitcoin, its likely that a correction is happening and selling pays off. Thats just my personal experience though.
