1701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 24, 2023, 09:52:47 PM
They cannot go back to the past. What's important is that they were able to make the right adjustments to make the team better. So if they end up in the play-in, they can surely win without a problem if they are really good. What we are hoping for with the Lakers is to win another championship, but that will not happen without LeBron James, so it's important for him to come back in case they are successful in the play-in.
I totally agree with what you said.
Unfortunately the Lakers at the beginning and during the season, they had a poor performance, poor management of the team, injured players and other things.

But the good thing is, the Lakers "woke up" at the end of the regular season and are doing their best to get a playoff seed in this season.

Only LJ + AD can take the Lakers to a WCF or even the championship game
I even dare say that the Lakers could perform better compared to the regular season.

In the playoffs,  "children of men" are separated, I have no doubt that a player's experience is a very important factor, and I have no doubt that AD + LJ have this (mainly LJ)

I think it's more of Lakers trading WB and there future draft pick to have this kind of lineup that can deliver, but still though it won't be enough for a title contender or even in a playoff run if Lebron can't play. They still have AD but it won't be enough one big guy to bring that W for them. They have to be consistent, Austin Reaves is developing to be their 3rd option now. And D'Lo and Malik and Dennis should be evolving with the team. Vanderbilt is a good acquisition is defense and very good at the rebounding department that could help AD. But I think they still need a big solid man that's why the name of Tristan Thompson has pop up, but not sure if he will be offered a contract at least if they can make a playoff run.
1702  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 24, 2023, 09:42:58 PM
Richard Comney weighed at 140.6 lbs and then 140.4 lbs, he need to shred that .4 lbs in the next couple of hours so that it will be a good for his Ramirez clash. Both are former champions, Ramirez having lost his belt to Josh Taylor during their unification fight a couple of years ago. While RC was a LW belt holder but now moving up in weight at welterweight. I think Ramirez can break down RC here in the middle to round 10. RC is not known to have a good chin and gas tank while Ramirez is comfortable at this division. His supposed to fight Prograis for the belt but it fell through because of the 65/35 split in favor of Regis which he think is not fair for him as a former champion.
1703  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Caleb Plant vs David Benavidez on: March 24, 2023, 09:31:02 PM
And here is the weigh in:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PR4Xe7PT_24

Caleb laying his hands on David's face, hehehe, very intense face off and so they have to be separated as it can go on a full brawl by both camps. Both make the weight, obviously Caleb is more dry and so he is cut, not bad for David though, showing some abs muscle as well.

So this going to be explosive fight as they genuinely hate each other and wanted to take each other heads off in this fight.

Must watch for us boxing fans here and make sure you put your bets already.
1704  Economy / Speculation / Re: 26k mark finally breached on: March 23, 2023, 11:42:16 PM
There's a likelihood that bitcoin is gonna hit beyond 30k by the end of this march and it's a good feeling for all bitcoiners as this is a tag of hope for a great bull run for the year 2023. As for dip, yes there will always be a dip cause it's a volatile market but when comes a dip it's a sign the bull run should be expected and step step from 19k to 25k and now it's closer to 28k, for that I view another ATH by the end of 2023 and it's possible for bitcoin.

If not in March then we still have a full steam ahead in April, it's tax month and usually those who get tax rebate might invest their money into the bitcoin market. So it's going to be a good, or at least a very positive thing to see that this March is not bad at all because historically it is. But it's very different right now because of the banking crisis and the inflation problem around us. People is moving away from fiat and full BTC now.

However, I have to disagree about new ATH at the end of 2023, we really need some catalyst for the massive bull run. We all know that it will be the block halving which is still very far. So let's just assume that $50k could be the highest that we can achieved and not expect something big as a new all time high, just saying.
1705  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are Casino Sites Cheating Us? on: March 23, 2023, 11:29:42 PM
Most of the time I play Blackjack & Dice.  I have always noticed that when I bet a large amount I am a loser when it comes to Dice.  Also in case of Blackjack when I bet big amount I get wrong card due to which I lose the bet. On the other hand when I bet small amount I win in case of Dice and if I bet small amount multiple times I win multiple times.  In Blackjack, when I bet small amounts, I am always get good cards and win the bets. Thus the cycle continues.  I have noticed that it is not an easy thing to withdraw from having achieved something great. I always gamble for fun with small amounts and lose them but I don't care. But I started playing blackjack yesterday with $1k and noticed that the casino sites are somehow cheating us. I lost my $1k yesterday. through Blackjack. What do you think about casino site algorithms?  Are they cheating with us?

I know the feeling mate, when we lost big we always think that we are getting cheated or we just made a bad decision that why we lost our money. Not sure though, it is live betting with a dealer in BlackJack? Not blaming you or something, because I also fall for this, like betting small and then have a good win, but increasing my bet? bad decision. So most of the time specially if my bankroll is getting smaller, I will go back to that small bets again and hope that my luck will return and at least get my capital back + some winnings. That has been my strategy though in the last couple of days, but it is a slot machine games. Same experience, small bets = good win, bigger bets = bad run. So what do I do?, go back to betting small.
1706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RUN, while you still can. on: March 23, 2023, 11:19:19 PM
This is a common scamming trick, you can get away with this if you are using an empty wallet address for airdrops and free claiming of NFTs even if you are a newbie in this crypto space, only greedy people get scammed with this trick, Twitter is now a scammers dungeon as everything on the platform is easy to duplicate, and the team and devs don't bother dealing with such tricksters unless few people decide to report the account, shame.

I think that where this criminals enter, they target newbies, hoping that they are going to fall for this trick. And every social media now has a lot of scammer in their again taking advantage of the platform. So everyone should be aware of this kind of trick. There are a lot of ways for this criminals to look as if they are the real ones, and so we need to really be very careful. Even clicking a link from them is very dangerous.

Be cautious out there, Twitter is boiling up with fake Arbitrum and SPACE ID giveaways right now.

And it's better to report this to twitter so that they will be taking down. On the other hand, there is only one trick being used to scam, they will have Twitter accounts, and you will see it as a official account with the blue badge and not to think that this is a scam. So again, we should open our eyes in the world that we are living because scammers are just around us.
1707  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are We Going To See $30,000 Price Before the End of This week on: March 23, 2023, 10:58:32 PM
(....)
-What are your speculations let's discuss this since this will give us a better understanding and help prepare us for the journey ahead because Bitcoin is set for an unprecedented turn out of events.
After we break the $28,000 level. I am already positive that the $30,000 is already a magnet here.
I don't see any resistance to the current price of Bitcoin and that's why the next stop for me is $30,000 because that's the strong resistance we have and psychological number resistance to $30,000.
I am sure we are already balancing the gap between $28K and 30k which is already around our price coverage level and with the current consistent level in bitcoin values increasing we should be ready for a more exciting time ahead.

-The bear forces have tried all that they could to have held the price stable around 27k+ - 28k+ but any possible breakout will usher us into the 30k face of the market.

No pressures right? hhehe, barely a week now and we still have a lot of things to do to push it in the boundaries of $30k. Maybe it there's no correction after the FED announcement, maybe we are inching closer to $29k and who knows, $30k is in the horizon. Although it was a quick bounce back to $28k now. Gonna be close though, but I will speculated that maybe the best we can do for this month is around $28,500-$29,00. I think that is good enough though, it will be another green candle this year so that is a good sign that we are slowly rebounding from a bad 2022. So let's see how it goes at the end of March, bulls is back again in the market. Critical now is $28,500, if we can break that one, maybe we can continue to see the price going up to the $32k mark.
1708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can do better job opportunities if empower by government on: March 23, 2023, 10:48:20 PM
Government always refused to see the positive aspects of events when it comes to what will profit the masses. Assuming government can easily understand the power of bitcoin in improving self dependency by citizens of different nations.

Not sure though, government are supposed to function to help their population? unless it's an authoritative government.

If IMF and UN can come together to strength the values and important of bitcoin as centralize legal digital currency with independence network system to act on digital market and helps in improving I.T for youths all over the world.

Maybe you can get a hint on IMF's stand on Bitcoin, IMF urges El Salvador to remove Bitcoin as legal tender. So I guess you got your answers already.

Bitcoin easily create stable jobs in different uniforms.
Buying and selling of bitcoin virtual cards, bitcoin pay points agents, ATM machine, bitcoin gifts cards, extension of campaign teams, and monopoly of market. Alls this could reduce unemployment by government schemes.

Again, I'm just shaking my head in thinking that Bitcoin could be the solution to everything. It's not like a magic bean that will be the end of it all. Although I have heard much worst, like Bitcoin will help solve poverty, blah blah blah. Why not just let it run it's natural course. It is still very young, just 10 years or so. Maybe in the next decade we will see what it can actually do to us.
1709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: March 23, 2023, 10:34:39 PM
Well maybe here, it will be a different strategy for him, maybe he will test Santiago and once he read him, he might go for a win or become aggressive in the middle rounds.

Donaire I'm sure won't show any different strategy on this fight. He will just fight like he faced other boxers.

It's kinda different though when he face Inoue Inoue, he said that they have a good strategy and preparation, but during the fight he chooses to brawl against the Monster,

Quote
“I love brawling and it’s hard for me to go and change that overnight and that was the biggest mistake that I did and it’s a learning experience.”

https://sports.inquirer.net/465716/donaire-says-wanting-to-brawl-was-biggest-mistake-in-loss-to-inoue

So definitely in every fight he and his team has strategy, that's what I'm saying. It's not he will go there with no plans at all and brawl. He is known to be a counter puncher though, maybe that was the plan to wait for Inoue to come in and make some mistakes.

Santiago should not be a big threat for Donaire as he alredy faced the most dangerous boxer in the bantamweight which is Naoya Inoue. Fighting Santiago, he should just feel that his opponent is nothing compare to Naoya Inoue.

He still need to feel though, the distance, the moves of Santiago, so again, he will read him early. And maybe he will go with some fakes and feints to see his reaction and then throw that patented left hook of his to finished Santiago. He will have to prepared for a full 12 rounds though, maybe Santiago chin is going to hold so at least he has some in his tank if this goes to full distance.
1710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 23, 2023, 10:20:35 PM
So who do you guys think is the best team in the NBA right now? Much like college basketball and the current tournament going on, I feel like there is a great deal of parity inside the NBA.  I honestly can't say who I think has the best chance at winning it all this year, and normally it's pretty easy to at least make a couple guesses.  I guess the Phoenix Suns are one of those teams, perhaps the Milwaukee Bucks are another.  Then you've got the Celtics and teams like the 76'rs.

Really odd time in the NBA right now to be honest.  I love it though.

The balance has tip to the East right now, as you have said, Boston took the lead, and then Giannis and Bucks overtake them after the all start break. Now the Sixers is pushing as well and Joel Embiid cemented his case for the MVP race.

While on the West it's the Nuggets, but they seems to struggle in their last 10 games, Memphis? Nah, I don't think they have the guts to win with or without Ja Morant. Warriors is not the same team anymore, while Phoenix without KD can't make it to the Finals.

Easy to say all those things but I still think only the top 3 teams can compete for the top in the east.  Might be top heavy but the fun part of the west is you can go from 4th spot and a home game to out of the playoffs in a game or 2 lol.  I've never seen such a tight race and that is gonna do teams well since they literally are all fighting like they are in the playoffs now.

And so most likely, it could be the either the Bucks, Philly or Boston that can go on the finals for this year, not saying that this team will be the champion, but the chances are high for them as they are really above the East right now, and they have all the experience. Bucks also become a champion, Boston last year has a chance going up 2-0 against the Warriors. Philly though has the very tough experience against the Raptors (who eventually become the NBA champion that year).

But you gonna love the competition in the West, yeah, if you blink and you loss a game, you will skid 2 positions down and if you win, go 2 position up, hehehe. Nuggets shows some weakness already, and so even who ever they faces in the playoff, they will think they have a good chance to upset the number 1 seed. Memphis is good, but do they have the mentality or choke as playoff is very different.
1711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK sponsored by Utopia on: March 23, 2023, 10:10:57 PM
The first time I read about the fight not going to happen I already think that it is the matter of split that made the fight impossible.  It is funny that USYK already accepted the 70/30 getting the lower end of the deal and yet FURY still wants a 70/30 on the rematch split.

Usyk accused Fury of being greedy while Fury accused Usyk of being a coward.  But whatever it is, I am very disappointed on the greediness of Fury. I hope Fury loses his next fight, let us see if he can still apply that greed to reclaim his title if he lost a fight.

For the collapse of the deal between Usyk and Fury, Usyk is now looking at a possible title defense against the WBA mandatory challenger  Daniel Dubois

Yeah, that rematch split though, Usyk gave in to the initial request having to split it to 70/30. But in the rematch definitely it's his turn to demand something in return, but Fury still wanted more even in rematch, hehehe. That's obviously greediness on his part, he wants more money either 1 or 2 fights with Usyk. Now he goes on his media tirade against Usyk, attacking him personally. But for us fans, it was clearly the Fury is the one to blame for this fight not going to happen. Doesn't matter if Usyk will fight Dubois for a mere buck as per Fury. At least Usyk stood his ground, he has the most belts in this negotiation and yet Fury treated him as if he has that 3 belts. There's no point of going on with the negotiations, Fury has a lot of unreasonable demands.
1712  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Virtual Betting/ Real bet on: March 23, 2023, 09:55:40 PM
My little experience while trying to look compare these two types of bets
I could be right or wrong maybe you can share your own experience to know how it goes.

Last night was trying to bet on live matches (Sports betting) although most of the matches already started running and while some have few minutes to start, after selecting about 10 to 15 matches to place my bet it was a bit difficult due to odds were dropping as well changing so I managed to place the bet and it went successfully.

That's the obvious, when you play live betting, the odds are going to change, maybe the underdog score the goal so it's odds will jump and so with the favorite. The thing is that you have to be very quick in playing your bets, but you will be given time by the casinos to review your bet before placing them.

After few minutes I decide to take a look into vFootball i could also get some winning over there, Surprisingly i was wipe with their manipulation at this point i just have to quick to wait for the previously bet matches to finished running.

Have you experience the manipulations over vFootball betting?
Though i don't know if this thread already created, If yes then ref here i would be happy to locking this thread.

I'm not familiar with vFootball so I have to check what kind of games it is. And with that, I have limited knowledge about it, so I must say I'm not sure if they are manipulated or not. But it's gambling though, the risk is there, even odds of 1.01, who might think is a sure win for us, might not win at all. You can check this thread,  Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds!. My point is that you will never really know the results, it might go against you and think it's manipulation.
1713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 23, 2023, 09:41:19 PM
Damn it, Reggie Bullock hit that 3 in the last 1.7 seconds for the Dallas team to cut the lead to 2. Two days now that I'm losing with just .5 points, hehehe. Still good though, what a game between the two, and as we say there are breaks on the game and the Warriors got the better of it. Seems Kuminga is developing to be like Andrew Wiggins? what do you think? So 1/2 again for me.

I'm haven't check the games though tonight. Might edit this soon, congrats to the winners!!

Edit: Here's my pick.

Magic vs Knicks - Magic, live betting ML @2.10.
Cavs vs Nets - Cavs -3.5 @1.89
Clippers vs OKC - OKC 4.5 @1.96.
1714  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: March 22, 2023, 11:35:44 PM
During the 2008-2009, I would say that I also benefited from it, not from my invested or something, but when I was lay-off that time, we were given severence pay (I was lucky), and so I didn't expect that it will be huge at least in my end during that time. So I just, used it to fuel my business and find some online jobs to continue to have money in my pocket, and to bring food in the table. But if ever I got the chance to invest on bitcoin that time or years later with that money I got, I will surely do.

And it take I guess experience for individual to really know what a financial crisis is, on how to hedge their wealth or money. It's hard but if people have undergone that experience, we can go back as far as the dotcom burst in Y2K for me. That time, I think I'm fine, working with a good company that time, with stock options and other financial benefits. But the 2008-2009 was very different for me, and it really open my eyes to look for more investments or at least find something that you can do to have a continuous money flow in your system.

But when I got into Bitcoin, ++ for my experience, and as I become older (or wiser), yeah, we need to find some leverage on something specially on what is going on around the world. We might have different opinions on bitcoin, not seeing it's worth or something, but I'm just talking about my personal experience here and it's really hard to be in a position not to have money, or if you have money the value is going down.
1715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: March 22, 2023, 11:13:38 PM
As I have said previously here that Tank is going to train in Mayweather's gym, suddenly he tell us that it's no longer the case,

Quote
Goaded by Garcia during a twitter spat on Tuesday, Davis (28-0, 26 KOs) divulged that Mayweather banned the southpaw star from using his facilities.

“What? That Floyd’s petty ass said I couldn’t use his gym anymore. I don’t give a f---!” Davis wrote in a now deleted tweet.

https://www.boxingscene.com/tank-davis-says-mayweather-barred-him-from-using-gym-ahead-ryan-garcia-fight--173285

Maybe it's true, maybe not, and we don't know what is the intention of Floyd to banned Tank as we thought that everything is cool between the two even if Davis didn't renew his contract with Mayweather. Or maybe this is just to hype the fight more, but doesn't make sense since this is obviously one of the biggest fight of the year already.
1716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 22, 2023, 11:03:52 PM
With John Ryder, it will give Canelo a boost of confidence after it. This fight is not even hyped or probably because they don't want to ruin Tank Davis's moment.

It would be very head scratching to speculate that Canelo vs. Ryder fight can ruin Tank vs. King Ry's main event. No one wants to pay to see Canelo fight Ryder. There is no hype behind this and who is this John Ryder?

Yes, Canelo is guaranteed another 8 figures here, so he doesn't care perhaps, hehehe. And most likely his target will be the Mexicans obviously in his native country. Probably in the US too, but for fans, Tank vs Ryan Garcia is an easy choice if I were to buy PPV between this two fights.

I reckon what the fans would like to see for Canelo is fight Benavidez! However, it appears Canelo is avoiding him hehehe. Canelo wants a rematch vs. Bivol but Bivol is avoiding Canelo because he wants a unification in light heavyweight.

Maybe if David can win against Plant this weekend, his name will pop up. But definitely Canelo is looking for Bivol next after this, whether 175 or even 168 lbs as Canelo is willing to put his belt on the line. So lot's of fight in the calendar that can affect Canelo after he win against John Ryder.
1717  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Justin Sun sued by SEC. Effect on Bitcoin? on: March 22, 2023, 10:45:36 PM
Another stressfull news for the community.
Tron founder Justin Sun sued by U.S. SEC on securities, market manipulation charges.
Market insta dumping since the news is out just after the fomc meeting, lol what a timing (seems like its all played and planned). Does anyone know how many btc does justin have to dump on us ?

Source of news: https://www.coindesk.com/policy/2023/03/22/tron-founder-justin-sun-sued-by-us-sec-on-securities-market-manipulation-charges/

Why is Justin Sun has an effect on Bitcoin though?

And I think the dump was not due to this news, but to The Fed announces ninth-straight interest rate hike of 25 basis points—here’s what will get more expensive.

And if ever there will be a dump, it should be on Tron and not Bitcoin. And it's obvious by now, it's down to

TRON Price (TRX)
$0.05917
-11.51%

as per CMC.

Not sure though how much BTC he has or will he dump it right away. But I will say that it may not be a secret in the market that Justin might be doing some manipulation behind years ago, he was even called by others as "shill God", hehehe. In any case, he could be done if SEC wins their case against him.
1718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 22, 2023, 10:35:07 PM
I was in a hurry to bet yesterday, so I just got one, which is the Magic vs Wizards, Magic at ML @1.92 odds.

And the Wizards are going to face the Nuggets next, it's going to be back to back for them obviously and maybe the Nuggets can steal one at the road against Washington, -6.5.

Golden State vs Dallas - GSW now a favorite on the road, hehehe, -2.5 for them. I guess Luka is still not going to play.
Hawks vs T'Wolves - It's being reported that KAT might suit up in this game that's why they become the favorite, but I will go with 4.5 for the Hawks.
1719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Game do you think is a Game of Chance or a Game of Skill? on: March 22, 2023, 10:25:54 PM
I was recently browsing the internet on a topic as to why cryptocurrency gambling games are so addictive. This topic is not only about online crypto gambling please do remember this before replying.

While going through multiple websites for my topic I found out that the online gambling industry has been growing rapidly. The growth has been significant as in 2021 the global online gambling industry size was recorded at $61.5 Billion, whereas it went up to $79.8 Billion in 2022. The rise as per my understanding is significant.

Yes, and because of the pandemic, crypto and online gambling balloon to a massive proportions, we have seen a lot of casinos being born around that time and still up to this day, they have their signature campaigns here and becoming bigger than ever. All of them are even competing to get personalities as their brand ambassador and athletes as well and for sure it will still increase in the next 5-10 years. Casinos are going to popup in this niche and there will be competitions.

While going through different websites I stumbled upon many websites which were about the top most played games in online casinos in 2021-2022. I have listed down the top 4 most played games below but my question is which one of these do you consider to be a game of skill or a game of chance?

  • Slots
  • Balckjack
  • Baccarat
  • Poker

I think Slots is a game of chance and Poker is a game of skills. Do you agree?

Slots could be one of the top most played games because you don't need skills and it's easy to learn, you just have to put your money in any slots of your choosing, it has hundreds of themes that a normal gambler can choose, enjoy, easy as that.

Blackjack and Baccarat, for those who love card games obviously, they can either go bet live with dealer or just simply video blackjack.

Poker, we are all familiar with it, it's a skill game no matter what angle you look at it.
1720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | Unified WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | May 7 on: March 22, 2023, 10:15:22 PM
It's sad to see the news that Inoue is injured. No estimated months means the injury is probably serious and training camp needs to stop. Unlucky as well for Fulton as the guy is grinding seriously to defend his belts. Maybe Fulton can take an easy tune-up to make his training camp worth it.

The original date would've been perfect to set up an undisputed match between the winners of Fulton-Inoue and Akhmadaliev-Tapales. This division is yet to get unified since the 4-belt era so hopefully, it will happen later this year or early next year. I am hoping for Marlon Tapales to score a big upset against Akhmadaliev.

Per ESPN report, the bout will be rescheduled this summer and i did a little research on what months belong to summer and i found out it starts on June and ends in August so we have to wait again for a maximum of five months to witness this fight that one of the best that this sport can offer Smiley.

Yeah, we are not familiar with what summer means for the Japanese as it is obvious that we are very different from them, hehehe. So as others have said, tune up might do good for Fulton to make him busy, just get some tomato can fighter that he can face, low risk for him but at least his body and specially his mind is going to be active while waiting for Inoue to fully heal 100%.

Speaking of Tapales, i also hope that an upset will happen just like what happened this weekend when Gesta upsets Diaz.

Definitely support Tapales against Akhmadaliev, but Gesta last week proved that anything can happen in the right, even if you are like 6:1 or 8:1 underdog. Tapales can win this fight if he can time Akhmadaliev coming in, or a hard fought match, back and forth war. Both are coming from a long lay off, but we shall see who is the first one to shake that ring rust.
