1801  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Cannot verify GPG Electrum-4.1.5 No signatures found on: October 30, 2021, 02:08:27 PM
I wonder if the OP is having trouble because of the new policy of providing signatures from multiple developers.  Just to reiterate the issue; the signature files' names differ from the binary file's name, which prevents GIU GPG applications (with default settings) from reading the binary file when one double-clicks on a signature file.  GUI applications expect the signature file's name to be the same as the binary file's name, with the addition of .asc extension.

For example;

Binary file name: electrum-4.1.5.dmg
Signature file name: electrum-4.1.5.dmg.asc

Currently if you download the binary and the signature files you'll have the following file names:

The binary file name: electrum-4.1.5.dmg
ThomasV's signature file name: electrum-4.1.5.dmg.ThomasV.asc
SomberNight's signature file name: electrum-4.1.5.dmg.sombernight_releasekey.asc
Emzy's  signature file name: electrum-4.1.5.dmg.Emzy.asc

I recently learned a trick that makes it a lot easier to verify all the signatures at once.  All you have to do is save all the signatures in one text file, and save it with the typical naming standard, i.e. as in the example above; electrum-4.1.5.dmg.asc.

For example:
Code:

Looks like I caught an early break in what is assuredly a must-win game against wheelz.

Wow, I just went to look after reading this.  That's a big blow, sorry wheelz, congrats nutildah.

What a mixture of conflicting emotions... Mainly I was pissed because I threw money at Arizona in-game to cover -3.5. WHICH THEY ALMOST FUCKING DID. Came down to the last play, my what a bungle. I had absolute confidence they would drive it to the red zone in 3-4 plays, and they did, and then the receiver just turned his head a second too late on the last pass. Fuck.

I had the Pac to cover +3.5, but it was part of a list of props including Rodgers to throw for over 220 yards, so I lost too.  But it was a moral victory.   Cheesy

This is the kind of game which can shape a season, if the Cardinals had won the game by making that comeback with a 99 yard TD scoring drive it would have made a huge difference, that is the kind of win that will have everyone in the building working harder because they will know they will have a chance to make it far on the playoffs, but the fact they lost by what it seems to be a miscommunication is a huge problem, now Hopkins has aggravated his injury, AJ Green will second guess himself, Watt is out and Murray despite claiming to be OK was seen using a walking boot, if he was a statue on the pocket like Brady it would not worry me but he depends on his legs to make plays, so they could be in trouble.

Yeah, it could have easily gone either way, that's what made it a fun game to watch.  If the Cardinals would have scored, they would have given Arron Rodgers at least 11 seconds.  That's plenty of time for an 80 yard hail mary touchdown pass to Aaron Jones.  Grin

Congratulation Quartararo as MotoGP champions this year.

This is the first time French racer as MotoGP champion, this moment very excited, he makes a little party in Emilia Romana, all eyes on Quartararo even though he didn't get on the podium. I'm very deeply regretted Bagnaia, 3 laps left he got crashed, I don't know what happen, looks like he's daydreaming. this makes Marquez in the 2nd line have grown up to 1st position. But he can't change anything, Quartararo was locked his title for this year.

Really, this is the first time a French rider takes the championship?  Wow, that is a big deal.  Congrats to Fabio, he deserves it.  He's had a great season, and was obviously the better rider most of the season.  I say most because of the Repsol gorilla in the room.  Two races in a row Marquez takes a 4+ second lead and and the top spot on the podium.  It's looking like Marc is back to 100% of his former self.  If he can stay healthy the 2022 season is going to be his to lose.

Ducati is still leading the manufacturer's competition, but they're only 12 points ahead of Yamaha.  There's still a chance for Yamaha to take the lead, and secure both the rider and manufacturer's championship.  Should be a fun couple of races to finish out the season.

This is a really cool promo!  Thanks for putting this together, Steve.  It's super cool of you to invite your competition to participate as well.  Just goes to show how much class you and the Sportsbet.io team possess.

The free bet makes this a no-brainer, but I really hope to win the "Beers with Steve" prize.  A trip to England to watch a live match would be a dream come true.  Best of luck to all.

Similar to the cryptospace market, this might be the beginning of the dump for the Arizona Cardinals against the spread.

Lol.  I never doubted the Packers, I knew they would win it.  The Cardinals are a good team; young and tough, lots of talent.  But this kind of thing happens almost every year; a young team goes on a hot streak that ends in a prime-time slot against a beat-up team of veterans.  Everybody was on the Cardinals' bandwagon, making such a big deal out of their 7-0 start, then pressure starts to mount.  I still think they'll make it to the playoffs, but I wouldn't count on them reaching the super bowl.

@DirewolfM14. It was a very good game for Aaron Jones.

It would have been better if they didn't overturn that touchdown at the goal line.  That surprised me, it looked like the ball crossed the plane before his ass hit the ground.  If nothing else it seemed like it was too close to reverse.  Maybe the officials have multiple, synchronized views that made it clear and obvious that he went down first.  That's the only thing I can think of that would have given them the evidence to overturn it.  Regardless, 17 FF points is no joke and obviously I need all the help I can get.

This is a big match for the two of us.  Being a divisional match it has significant playoff implications.  I currently have the tie-breaker since I won our first match.  I'm scared.

Now, now, don't be so glum.  You're our favorite punching bag.   Kiss

J/K, congratulations on your first win, against the top dogs, no less.  Fitting end to the first round.

I have to ask, does our record during the regular season even matter?  Don't we all get into the first round of the playoffs?

Are you guys watching the Manning's broadcast?  Tom Brady is their current guest, and he just said he had to promise a bitcoin to the fan to whom Mike Evans had given his 600th TD ball.  He also said something about the ball being auctioned off as a NFT currently.

here's what i need from Saints D/ST tonight:

7-13 pts allowed - 3pts
200-299 yards allowed - 2pts
fumble recovered for TD - 6pts
interception - 2pts
sacks x5 - 5pts

I like it.  Not that it matters, it's getting obvious the Niners aren't contenders this year.  They might be contenders for draft position... Oh wait!  Angry

Wheelz and I both have Seahawks receivers, and he needs his to be far more productive than mine.  Should be interesting to watch.

That was a crazy storm, maybe the wettest storm we've had in over 20 years.  My power went out at 8am so I missed out on an EPL match I wanted to watch, and the afternoon games.  Luckily I had my laptop charged up, and figured (with my phone as a hotspot) I had just enough juice to watch SNF.  I wish I hadn't.  The power actually came back on around the end of the first quarter.
1809  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin + Electrum server + Block explorer under Windows (with WSL and Debian) on: October 25, 2021, 03:04:06 AM
Good job, I hope you had fun.  You're on the right path, and you'll pick up tricks that work for you as you go along.  WSL is a great way for Windows users to immerse themselves in Linux.

I prefer to run my node on dedicated hardware which I can leave running full time.  All my services are started on boot by systemd, so I just need to make sure the machine is powered on.  Unlike Linux on a physical or virtual machine, WSL doesn't have a system startup daemon like systemd.  It shouldn't be confused with a virtual machine, it's a virtual environment.

It's bugging me that you are unable to install Ubuntu.  I noticed that you used the Control Panel gui app to enable WSL, did also enable virtualization?  I've always installed WSL manually, you can find the installation instructions here (don't forget to start powershell as administrator):  https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wsl/install-manual

Also, you can use powershell to interact with your WSL instances and, run them with alternate options.  For starters:

It was a pretty good game, all in all.  I was surprised to see the Bills defense give up so many big runs.  I'm sure nutildah wasn't complaining though.

I'm sure he's very happy to win by 50+ points as opposed to merely 30 points Grin

Ok, ok, I know, tiebreakers, but it probably won't be that close after 14 games.

Come on, man.  Are you trying to tell me that pouring on the hurt doesn't make you happy?   Wink

Yeah not to mention all the people taking cmc first instead of Henry kicking themselves.  Henry is an absolute football and ff stud.  Have tannehill as my qb in another league and kills me everytime just ground and pound.

He was an absolute stud last night.  Tannehill's only job is to throw just often enough to sell the play action run.

Not sure how i pulled this off but i got two wins, pure luck! I mean how often do you see Allen and the Bills being stopped on a 4th and 1?

I was on the edge of my seat watching the game and the FF scores, both were exciting, lol.  At 4th and 1, with so little time on the clock, I was certain they were going to go for the tie.  From a football perspective, that would have been the smart thing to do.  When I saw the offense lining up, I just knew they (and I) were going to lose.

It was a pretty good game, all in all.  I was surprised to see the Bills defense give up so many big runs.  I'm sure nutildah wasn't complaining though.
1814  Economy / Reputation / Re: Assessment, user yahoo62278 [Yobit Scam Manager] look @theymos on: October 18, 2021, 10:07:26 PM
It was not my fault, I say.

There is someone above me you can blame.

Because of this, I am freed from all infractions.

It's not quite so cut and dry in my opinion. True, theymos allowed yobit's return from the advertising ban placed upon them, so if someone should be reprimanded it's him.  But what's that going to get you?  I don't know that I would have handled the situation any differently, but maybe a permanent the first time around?  Fool me once...  I like that theymos isn't heavy handed, it's one of the things that makes this forum unique.

As for Yahoo's culpability, he volunteered to manage the sig-spammers wearing the yobit signatures who registered on yobit's own site.  He wasn't tasked with "managing" the campaign in the traditional sense.  If he hadn't done what he did there would have been far more spam on the forum.  He brought the question to forum and many, myself included thought that it was a great idea.  If Yahoo is to be tagged for his involvement, then I should be too for encouraging him, and so should anyone who did so.

Lets not forget what actually transpired during that time.  Don't let these shit-stirring, sig-spamming, scam-promoters change the narrative.

Hi I recently got Electrum and created a walllet. However, I only have version Electrum 4.0.9 and I can't update it to 4.1.5.
I know, sounds stupid but I really need help.

 I have Parrot OS 4.11

I see from your other thread that you are having trouble opening your wallet files.  I suggest you stick with one topic, it'll keep all the progress in one place, and suggestions pertinent.

I've never had any exposure to Parrot OS, but it's a Debian release so you should be able to run Electrum.  Did you try installing Electrum from the command line, or did you download the app image?

Posting gap march 2017 - august 2017.
This account is not from the original owner."

Account sales aren't banned by the forum, and DT members who flag account sellers do so to prevent abuse.  Assuming that (hypothetically speaking) Royse's account did change hands and somehow slipped by the notice of DT members at the time, should DT member tag Royse's account now?  All of Royse777's positive feed back (including untrusted) is after the dates of the posting gap.  Has he been abusive since that time?  Has a shown a tendency to be untrustworthy?  Or has he demonstrated the exact opposite?

Given the lack of significant evidence or motive, there's no justification for tagging him.  And given his trustworthy behavior since the suspected breach, I don't think any one cares.  I certainly don't.  Who ever is currently behind the Royse777 account IS Royse777 as far as I'm concerned.

I would like it if that commercial series culminated in physical violence against Jake from State Farm. Patrick and Aaron have had it with Jake's shenanigans so they challenge him to a quick football contest, which they use as an excuse to double-tackle him, resulting in Jake's brief but touch-and-go hospitalization.
Or they show up without their OL and Jake sacks both of them.

I'd rather see Baker's Progressive book group sacking the State Farm dual-threat while Jake streaks the field and Flo tackles him for a loss.  A big loss.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I like Windows.
Same here, but Linux left me no choice due to its compatibility issues with some of the apps that I regularly use.

I like Linux too, Ubuntu to be specific, which I have running on all my servers.  I have Ubuntu Desktop installed on one of my laptops, and use it regularly.  My bitcoin node is running Ubuntu server, which seems far more practical for me than running a node server on Windows.  It's really hard to beat the practicality of Linux for a machine that's dedicated to a specific process.

and all my hardware wallets linked up without issue.
Does it also include a Trezor hardware wallet by any chance?

Yeah, that's my main hardware wallet; both Trezor One and the Model T worked fine, but I only tried them with Electrum.  I haven't installed the Trezor Suite yet, I might give it a shot this weekend.

Last month, I was eagerly looking forward to its release in Oct, 5 but I completely forgot about it in the past couple of weeks. Just finished checking windows update [thanks to you], but there's still no update for me [I had to enable the TPM first]... Personally, I prefer to upgrade my desktop while leaving the laptop on Windows 10 [it'll be used for running a full node, once it finishes the DL & sync part] + I'd always have another option if I run into problems.

My machines didn't flag me for the upgrade either.  There's a tool you can download that will check for compatibility, it's available here.  The Windows 11 site recommends that you wait until Windows Update selects you for the upgrade, but I'm impatient.  If you want to force it you can update your system or download the ISO from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11

Hey now, I resemble that remark.  I was a bit harsh, please don't take it personally.  If we can't be harsh to newbies on the internet, then half the fun of social media just evaporates.

Now for the real advice;  Don't pay any attention to your rank, it'll come naturally if you participate in the forum and don't think of it as a cash cow.  Read a lot, respond respectfully, ask questions, don't be a douchebag, and you'll grow with the community.
