1821  Other / Meta / Re: Is this concerning? This could be a conspiracy too. on: September 17, 2019, 04:35:58 PM
Tons of accounts were just banned recently for plagiarism found in very old posts so their is definitely precedent. Accounts getting banned from old posts linking adresses to prove ban evasion are also frequent..
Also as you mentioned, if you piss someone off sometimes they will dig your post history for any dirt they can find to use against you..
20. Then more weaponizing of gamed metrics like deleted post count. Theymos says CH you will be banned soon because you have a lot of deleted posts.
21 What happens next? someone goes and reports every single short post 2 words or whatever in CH entire history LOL
It happens.. It's probably happened to me too..

It seems to me that the general community considers this sort of post digging to be fair game so keep that in mind..
Did you piss off anyone good recently? About how many old posts did you have deleted total?
1822  Economy / Economics / Re: Conservation Law on: September 17, 2019, 04:22:05 PM
You can create a coin from nowhere but that doesn't necessarily mean it will have any value. Some of the BTC forks were never worth a dime right?

But you can create value from nothing. Like any piece of software or data is just a bunch of arranges 1s and 0s which are worthless but if you arrange them just right they become valuable, be it Bitcoin or a videogame..

A newly created coin can be valuable like Grin, the software is valuable to a lot of people. A fork of Bitcoin can be valuable as seen in the hundreds of coins forked off Bitcoin before BCH existed..
The BCH fork could be valuable to some people, hold some value apart from bitcoin or be more valuable software than even Bitcoin to them, but little I'd imagine...
Crypto prices are all about how much people think they are valuable.. I bet that the use of Monero for example is more valuable than then use of Bitcoin to many people..

The BCH fork is important I think because instead of really trying to create new value it tried to take value away from the real Bitcoin. The new value it created was small because it is not really a valuable new software compared to many things that exist, but it split off some of Bitcoins value/marketcap to it right from the start..

You may think you got a bunch of free money from BCH but it just kinda split the value of your keys..

If it wasn't for BCH your Bitcoin would probably have been more valuable than your combined BTC/BCH, not only because BCH took some of that value out of BTC but also created a bad image of BTC reducing it's value..
I may contend that the BCH fork REDUCED the value of all of our keys from all the negativity surrounding it..
I see it as entirely possible that had BCH never happened your same keys would be more valuable now in just BTC than your keys are worth now with the BTC and BCH combined..

Who is behind the attack though?

Could be a pearl harbor/911 for them or a USS Liberty type deal..

This isn't exactly the place to get the news before the MSM does, but I first heard about it there the other night..

I guess I'd say that I am suspicious of whatever information is out about it from any angles but figure we are probably going to go to war in the sand again..
1827  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it possible to mine only with opening an App and stay there? on: September 16, 2019, 10:25:48 PM
I think the first time I saw a simple mining app was the pandacoin pandaminer thing.. I mined a few pandacoins..

Some old SHA coin wallets (like maybe primecoin and unbreakable) you could
Code:
 setgenerate -true
or something like that in the terminal and it would easily mine for you..

Also MinerGate I tried for a bit..
1828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XCP] Counterparty - Pioneering Peer-to-Peer Finance - Official Thread on: September 16, 2019, 09:33:25 PM
How exactly is XCP dead? Can you explain?

It still looks like it works to me.. The blockchain can still see all of my assets.. I don't see why it wouldn't send them around as normal wouldn't it?

I must not be up on the news..

Is XCP/BTC on https://wallet.counterwallet.io still working and the REAL BTC (like not some other asset called BTC)? So like if I put BTC on that addy I can trade it for XCP there still?

1830  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for Monthly $1K Payouts? Andrew Yang Says Yea on: September 16, 2019, 09:12:26 PM
WTF I love Yang now!! Yang Gang 2020!
Not really but it might be fun to vote for him in the dem primary to throw a wrench into their gears..

I watched the dem debates the other night and I'd say Yang was one of the better ones of them, and that if any of them but Biden get it things will get crazy.. Beto is off his rocker with his "Hell yes, we're going to take away your AR-15!" and I like how biden spoke up for the constitution a little, but all of them want to give illegals free healthcare so the whole lot of them are out of the question..
If you watched that debate and don't think they are all nutz I don't know about you..

$1,000 a month would be cool though and even better in Bitcoin so I could easily get it at whatever South American island I will be bee-bopping around in my sailboat retired living the dream on $1,000 a month + whatever else I have..

$1,000 a month (per adult and will surely bring an American chick) plus a signature, a little trading, some rental income.. Heh heh, rat race is over..
I'll take advantage of that system I don't agree with..

Their a lot of funny memes about Yang too.. +1

That's me on my boat, but less asian..
1831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.10.0 on: September 16, 2019, 08:44:08 PM

Man your name looks like TECSHARE..

DOGE has been one of my favorite coins and has a lot to do with the reason I found out about and got into crypto in the first place..
A friend I met told me about Bitcoin and how he was making profit trading DOGE on Cryptsy.. I was interested in trading.. I made my first exchange account just in time to make a few good trades before DOGE hit like 240 and then went down for a while from there.. That is where it all started in crypto for me..

DOGE has also been one of my favorite coins to make micropayments with and to use to send value fast and cheap be it from one exchange to another, arbing, or just to another person.

Thank you DOGE.. Have a bump (or 2) on me..
1832  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's up with Gemini? on: September 16, 2019, 06:22:51 PM
Gemini has been open and running for a long time and is often referred to as the gold standard of regulation compliance. Probably the most compliant and legit exchange of them all. The weak link about Gemini is low volume.

The Winklevoss twins are crypto OGs and have done a LOT for Bitcoin. They own a huge stash of Bitcoin also. They have been behind attempts to get ETFs in place and whatever to get crypto on the real markets..

I would trust this exchange more than any other and expect everything to be done strictly by the book.. It might not be the best exchange to trade though..
1833  Other / Meta / Re: Percentage of Merit received on old posts, deleted posts, and average per post on: September 16, 2019, 03:49:33 PM

User eddie13 (full history)
  • Received a total of 460 Merit up to last Friday.
  • Received 1 Merit (0.21%) for 1 (0.07%) of 1353 posts created before the introduction of Merit (0.0007 Merit per old post).
  • Received 457 Merit (99.34%) for 133 (20.71%) of 642 posts created after the introduction of Merit (0.7118 Merit per new post).
  • Received 2 Merit (0.43%) for posts that are now deleted.

Wow..
I got 0.7118, for the win in this list, and have 116 more merit now than it even counted @ 460?

Ahh.. At second look  morvillz7z beat me with his 0.7985 ..
1834  Other / Meta / Re: The end of an era for me: Leaving Signature Campaign on: September 16, 2019, 02:57:31 PM
I just don't want to deal with the hassle anymore, you know, having to post X amount of times per week...

after a while the obligation to post starts to wear on you.

Same... I don't like having to meet a quota so I haven't had a paid sig in like years..
I have applied to chipmixer a few times because I like that their is no minimum post limit and you won't get booted if you don't post for a week or whatever but I highly doubt I'll get in because my posting style isn't what they are looking for..
I was thinking about possibly asking Yahoo or someone if he could broker me a sig deal on such terms sometime but eh..
1835  Economy / Reputation / Re: False accusation, negative merit on: September 16, 2019, 02:24:13 PM
See what I said my friend in the message:

Thanks but not helped, I will access the community websiste for more information:

I am stating and reinforcing that I will only access community websites ETC. So what proof do you have that I'm quoting otherwise?

Now where is the proof that I am SCAM? If I am stating that I only trust the ETC community websites?

Stay cam sir..

So what proof do you have that I'm quoting otherwise?

Your poor English is hard to interpret..
I'll leave judgment up to others as I'm not real well informed on ETC forks and phish scams thereof, but I think you might be ok..
Remain calm..
1836  Other / Meta / Re: Why my acccount banned, RACIST FORUM on: September 16, 2019, 02:03:22 PM
You were not banned because of your race.  When you logged in with the banned account there was a message, what did it say?  Is it a permanent ban?
He was probably banned for trolling. I also suspect he is just an alt account of one of the main forum trolls (i.e cryptohunter).

Edit: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4564216.msg51658493#msg51658493

Nah, CH doesn't like racist and bigoted stuff I don't think..

After i reviewed your posts history, i completely agree that you deserved to get perma banned.

That's your alt and that's the very reason you are banned in the forum

It looks like that was banned as an alt account too since I don't see banable posts in that history either unless they were deleted..

I bet Nigerian Cocopalm Farms is just larping as a nigerian..
Evidence..
Remember some of us are good not all scammers. Even though we raised as young child taught how to scam in many ways it is in our blood do not mean we all do it. So keep that in mind please.
I get many mean messages, hurtful stuff but I don't know what to believe.  My Nigerian brothers do look more apelike instead of the whites.  They say we have intelligence like the monkey because less evolved.  I do not know what to think.  What you say?

That has to be satire, no?

Maybe he is "trolling" a little but I'd like to know what he is actually banned for.. Their is probably another account or deleted posts for the reason..
1837  Economy / Reputation / Re: False accusation, negative merit on: September 16, 2019, 01:38:31 PM
I don't see anything conclusive in the reference, only maybe Thoor=thorRJ is what he was getting at but I don't think I would even consider that circumstantial evidence..
I would hope to see dkbit98 use better references if he does have a solid connection and I hope for him that he has some evidence or this use of trust is a mistake on his part..
I don't see any connection in the flag thread on Thoor either..  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5183449.0
OP here does post about ETC but I don't see anything on ETCA..

Thread should prolly go to rep though..
1838  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Crypto exchanges comparison [trade fee + listing fee + age + mobile app + more!] on: September 16, 2019, 01:24:42 PM
Sadly TuxExchange has closed, so you can remove it from your list..

"Hello Everyone, Tux Exchange is terminating operations on July 6th 2019, largely due to unfavorable regulatory conditions. All funds must be withdrawn before July 6th 2019. After that time, we will provide best effort services via support ticket until July 15th 2019 when all services will cease. - New signups and deposits are terminated effective immediately. - Trading and withdraws will terminate July 6th 2019. - Support services will cease July 15 2019. It has been a pleasure serving the community and this was not an easy decision. Thank you for your support and loyalty over the years. Sincerely, Tux Exchange"
https://tuxexchange.com/closing

It seems very hard for new legit crypto projects to succeed without gimmicks and/or huge advertising budgets..
This exchange ran for a few years, never sought any sort of funding or investments, and as far as I know never lost anyones money, got hacked, or scammed anyone, so big props to them IMO for running an honest service!
I hope they atleast broke even on all the money they invested into this business attempt. I know they were paying for their servers and everything right out of their own pockets.. I would participate in another project with them in the future in a heartbeat..
1839  Other / Meta / Re: Bumping changes on some boards on: September 15, 2019, 09:44:07 PM
Right now the "zero bump score" threads start on page 4 of the Altcoin ANN board, used to be page 6 a couple of days ago. So it looks like after wasting the initial super bumps there is a lot less bump power to go around.

And I actually recognize the names of half of the alts on the first 4 pages! Some good oldschool stuff on there..

We all probably played with our bumps when it first came out like we all played with merit when it first came out.. Big spike on the first few days..
1840  Other / Meta / Re: THEYMOS - we want open debate on how YOU are on the wrong path here. on: September 15, 2019, 07:02:16 PM
Congratulations on hitting legendary The Lottery.
Thanks, I wasn't expecting anything like that and am almost embarrassed..

I have been contemplating my reply for a while but this part on the end seems the most troublesome..

1. ALL members with ANY clear financially motivated wrong doing removed from positions of trust at ANY time now or the future.
2. Those supporting or not excluding members that match that description ALSO REMOVED.
Well, some minor, and maybe some not so minor things done in the past by some members have been forgiven by the general community and I do agree with some of these instances of forgiveness.. So you are not just going to get everyone out that has ever done anything wrong in their past ever.. It's just not going to happen..
You don't have to like all of them but you will need to get onboard with a little forgiveness especially if you expect any to be returned to you..
Some can probably be removed for some things, but not all of them for every little thing..

I would likely be more concerned about current and future poor behavior rather than past behavior..
Watch for current and new things.. The past is mostly settled already wither you agree with what the outcome was or not..

Lauda..
For all I know you are right about the DRK instamine situation..
Lauda probably just gave you a red tag for the best excuse to red tag you that lauda could think up.. I don't really agree with it.. Me and lauda don't agree often..

As for theymos's part of it, he doesn't always make the 100% best actions/decisions but he did eventually blacklist lauda from DT1 right?

I don't like people digging histories to get others banned..

I don't think you are a "troll" by my definition of a troll.. I doubt you are doing this just to amuse yourself..

Maybe "hot head" isn't the best word but yeah you get angry..
The problem is posting the same set of information, however correct or not, over and over again..
Maybe you should start a reputation thread to collect all of your points about every "scammer" user into the OP in sections of user or system and why you disagree with it, and then link it to your signature, so you can just say "see section "Merit" at the link in my signature" or "see section "Suchmoon" at the link in my signature", so you don't have to say it over every time..

Merit was never the original reason for our arrival on meta board.
I may very well be wrong but the first time I saw you here in a confrontation with "them" in meta was a thread about how all the Legendaries without any earned merit were all spammers and you were upset at being grouped in with the spammers because you didn't have any merit either.. <Escalation ensued..

I didn't really like the high merit threshold for DT votes either because of the way merit is so "top 1% ish", poor equality of distribution, and that I would also like to see lots and lots of votes for DT and a very large distributed DT network..
I would also like to see more distributed smerit distribution, like a small monthly airdrop to just about everyone, for better decentralization and less power concentration.

It's not perfect but not the worst that could have possibly happened, and who knows, my ideas could make everything worse, I'm no expert..

Just screaming accusations like " trolling don't feed them" or " who made this cunt bleed" " or shut up you used tampon" " who made this cunts butt sore"  these kind of things are very low value
I agree.. That just escalates..

Maybe the point is not to post your same old points continually..
Post new points you come up with.. Post new ideas you think of like suggestions for the forums various systems.. Post new things you notice and would like to point out to all of us. Post some fresh material and be constructive with it.. Comment your thoughts on things and have new conversations..
If you feel the need to explain something that you have already explained 50 times then maybe you need to come up with a way to reference it and not type it every time so you can be a little more succinct..

I'm not the greatest at being succinct all the time either though but I try not to say the same thing 5 different ways..
